On the show last night George and Michael were discussing angie and Estelle situation and commented while Estelle is the most naturally good looking girl, they didn't find angie attractive at all. George said she had a weird body. I found this strange cos I find angie is probably one of the best looking girls in the house, she has a nice face and I don't find her body weird at all. Anyone know where the boys were coming from? Personality aside.

I thought that said more about George than it did about Angie. Shallow much?

Totally agree. On the up side the producers are now feeding us snippets of George's personality which so far have made him look like an arseh*le. Hopefully if/when he is up for eviction he wont be saved.

A persons terrible personality can ruin any sex appeal that they may have. Thats why some of the hottest people stay single, because they generally have shit personalities once you really get to know them. I'm not saying Angie has a bad personality or anything. Just my personal experience.

Lol at George being shallow, he's more of a Picaso than a Gainsborough, when you look like an alien from Avatar, being fussy is not on.

I find Angie more attractive than him and I'm a straight female.

Funny because Angie is a stunner and is seen by the public as a 'bombshell' more than Estelle, I dont find any male in the public calling Estelle hot on facebook to be honest lol

Maybe knowing now that she was a champion weightlifter has turned him off her and he just sees her as weird looking. She offends against his complacently conservative, unexamined gender prejudices.

There might also be a Freudian emasculation fear of thighs with walnut cracking capability.

Well she is kinda stumpy and has a sort of cupie doll face, to each their own I guess.

And she herself has said she only finds guys who tower over her (not hard since she's a borderline dwarf) attractive.

But it's okay when a female states her physical preferences, she's entitled to be attracted to whatever she fancies. When a guy does it (says a woman isn't his type)though all hell breaks loose.

there's a small difference between stating a general preference and complaining a specific person has 'a weird body', and if the complainer is someone who likes to present himself as a champion protector of women it gives pause.
also i have noticed in life that if some women dare to query the utterances of some men their reaction gets dramatically described as 'all hell breaking loose' etc. when all they were doing was mildly objecting.

Why would anybody care about what George (or any other individual for that matter) finds attractive unless you personally fancy him and hurt because you resemble Angie or something?

Honestly I've heard a lot worse from average looking women dismissing guys who they think aren't good enough for them and to date I haven't seen any woman in that convo stand up and 'rebuke' the girl for being nasty, shallow, whatever.

'Weird' is an unfortunate choice of word and might have only used it because it was the only one that popped in his head at the time. Just saying Angie's body doesn't do anything for him or not my type would've sufficed.

I reckon this is a case of false equivalence though. Both genders do it but women have to put up with a lot more of it as a general attitude (& from other women as well) and the consequences are much more far reaching (employment, social inclusion, respect).

It's not a double standard. We're more likely to be attuned to it sounding offensive when it's a man judging a woman's appearance. It may not be true of the George in this case but he's given the impression that he might be judging her whole person by her looks.

Maybe that's unfair. Some people are just getting that vibe from him.

Um it's his 'unfortunate choice of word' that's being discussed here, this is not a thread for bitching about dumb remarks made by shallow women in your dreary social life no one knows nothing about, nor is it a thread for projecting lol stupid vain insecurity upon George's critics.

Josh and Angie Are in the way of George,s ambition to be "top couple" in the house. He can't criticize Josh so he targets -Angie instead.

Just like he says nothing to make waves and be noticed for noms, he is Very strategic in who he targets. George is playing the long game in BB.

It is not that we care what he thinks, for me at least it is about trying to figure out what sort person he is because we see so little of him in the daily show.

Reading too much into what is essentially a innocuous throwaway remark. I can guarantee that 99% of hetero males have made near identical assessments at one point or another of all girls they've come across in their life, ditto women. Just because the editors have decided to air George's doesn't mean all the other male housemates have never said anything along those lines in or out of the house.

The content of this post says more about the poster that George's ill though-out critique of Angie's attractiveness ever could.

There are hundreds of millions of women and men right now passing the exact same judgements on other people every second all over the world. Luckily this poster's inability to grasp this simple concept would prevent her brain from exploding.

Angie doesn't float George's boat.

She doesn't float mine either, so what?

Unfortunately for George that might be only interesting thing the editors think he's said during the day and a snipped of that gets aired.

The content of this post screams 'reading comprehension difficulties', but the world you inhabit of exploding brains and all hell breaking loose sounds quite stressful so maybe that has a deleterious cognitive effect.

Neither float my boat and yes it may well have been the only thing he said worth airing, so far, which makes him a pretty uninteresting housemate.

George just comes off as a major creep. I don't really care what he does or does not find attractive.

Angie is fine.

I figure they were using the girls as examples of what their taste were in females in general. Different stokes or different folks and all. If we were looking at the males in the house ..not of them would be my ideal either.
