‘Big Brother: Secrets & Lies’

As a matter of interest Nikki is now doing live theatre in a show called Up4ameet.

Oh no! I've opened pandora's box! LOL

I wouldn't say Gina is copying Nikki at all it's just that she reminds me a bit of Nikki... The different in that Gina has money and is spoiled and the Nikki of BB7 wanted money and wished she was spoiled... Gina also really doesn't throw tantrums like Nikki did...

Anyways nice to see you back...

How is this season so far? I always loved BB UK but I watched the first half of week 1 last year and just couldn't get into it at all.

The 2011 series I actually found decent enough (but still lost interest after a few weeks).

Just wondering if this is worth going back and watching from the start, I realise it's been on for a few weeks now.

Our version will be starting any day now so I probably should have caught up on this sooner, but would people recommend it? If it's even on par with the 2009-2011 series I'd consider it worthwhile...

^ I like it (apart from bb giving them too much outside feedback couple and not fond of the evict votes - would prefer if it was save only). Though I don't really understand some of the audiences views and I only have the last celeb big brother to compare it to, so it may be a worse season than previous UK Big Brothers and I would have no idea.

I've watched a couple sporadically, I love BBUK and I'm really enjoying this season. Clever people, lots of laughs out loud. It's taken a strange turn with this task, though, far too much information about the outside, BB is well playing with their heads.

I am sooo excited that Suzette from BBCAN has been here. I loved you, you were def one of my favs - thought you got a rough ride on the show. Though I'm sure you have gotten lots of love since you have been out.

This season has been ok. Its certainly not boring. The hms are entertaining enough but I've not fallen totally in love with any of them which is unusual for me.

I quite like watching Gina. I'll be happy enough if she wins. She's been entertaining and so so so honest. I'm suspect she really is rich due to things I've read but I still like her lots.

I'm starting to dislike the twins when they're pretty certain they're getting air time. Its a bit contrived. One of them got the mega shits at the mention of Jedward. I thought it was because they're aiming for a similar funny twins type thing and didn't appreciate it being spelt out for the public to think it over. They probably hate jedward and that's why the stink over being compared but I'm suspicious about their fake behaviour.

The only comparison I would make with Gina and Nikki, keeping in mind I didn't watch Nikki's season just YouTube clips of Nikki, is how self absorbed both are.

Here's hoping that BBAU won't hand over the BB voices in the diary room to twenty-something girls with insecure sounding voices, speech impediments and accents that even a Star Trek language translator would struggle with.

Surely I'm not alone in thinking that addressing a girl in the DR as big Brother as is the case in BBUK currently is ridicolous. Has the concept of the original BB being authoritative been abandoned completely?

Not at all... BB is actually ambiguous and enigmatic character that is neither male or female... This is despite the fact that the name implies the male sex... It is also not as if the female voice is any more friendlier or less authoritative than the male voices... I've met plenty of woman that can command just as much authority as their male counterparts if not more...

And yet again the Great British Public gets it right! YAY!

This is very weird. By this stage I'm usually contemplating abandoning the show (although I never do) because all of my favourites have been voted out. Mind you, that's probably because my favourites tend to be the cutest girls and they're nearly always the first to get booted out.

I don't see it mentioned out loud yet, so I'll do a spoiler thingy so nobody yells at me
The HM evicted in the most convoluted eviction twist in the show's history was:
The whiny Dan

Is it me or is BBOTS actually kind of watchable this year?

No Idea, I can't stand the sight and sound of that awful set of giant choppers on a toothpick so haven't watched a single episode. :p

This is what i hate about vote to evict! I wasn't a big fan of Dan but more annoyed that the dead weights remain! Anyone including favourite Gina, against Sophie and Sam would have likely gone.

People who contribute nothing to the show should not be rewarded for it. I don't think we've seen enough footage of them to fill a single episode. Sophie seemed to pop into existence a week ago and Sam's winkie popped out on day 1 and then disappeared for 40 days.

Probably the only interesting with them was being put into the 'unsafe house'! You don't watch BB for these characters!

I disagree regarding Sophie. I picked her as an early favourite and, although I've had to watch carefully to what goes on in the background, I've thought she was a bit of a bright spark from the beginning. She has interesting opinions and seems quite funny - but the way the show follows the "journey" of the loudest people centre-screen means that we never get to see the functional people until the squeaky wheels get taken off.

There are clear reasons for this, it makes sense. The show is all about selling evictions so naturally they're going to concentrate on the potential nominees to maximise the income stream. That doesn't mean the early background people are dead weight though.

Yes, quite true. There was nothing really to target Sophie or Sam for so they didn't get the evict votes. In a save vote one of them would have gone though (probably Sophie) and Dan would have stayed as he would still be a target for attraction. People liked him and some didn't like him. So in the evict votes as it was, those that didn't like him outweighed the nothing feelings for Sophie and Sam.

Now after the recent live feed I've just seen it seems that Hazel and Charlie have had a bit of a tiff. Charlie getting a bit tipsy and said some things that maybe she shouldn't have, Hazel is upset that someone she thinks as a friend would say that, and then Charlie upset that Hazel would be annoyed with her. Hopefully they make up as I really thought they were bffs in there and so don't want them against each other.

The ugly girls Gina and Sophie hate the pretty girl Hazel. How unexpected. If Hazel were not here, they'd be hating Charlie.

With the 'Mother from Hell' and Dan finally gone, maybe Charlie can finally behave the way she wants. Oh wait, Callum the smotherer is still around. Or will Callum now turn his attention toward Hazel? I doubt Hazel will put up with as much 'attention' as Charlie...

Well, Dexter is starting to get on my nerves. I liked him because I thought he was misunderstood. I still think a lot of people in that house don't "get" him, but he's being far too arrogant for my liking. I think it's because of this whole stupid "love triangle" thing. I really don't like Dexter anymore and Callum is getting on my nerves too. Charlie isn't getting on my nerves yet though. I still love the fact that she'll say something without thinking about it. Annoying to live with? Yes, I'm sure it is! But it's fun to watch!

My favorite is still Gina. Luckily she hasn't done anything after the line-up challenge to make that change for me.

Ordinarily I dislike too much makeup on women (or men, I'm an equal opportunity judger) but thank GOD Gina spends the time she does. That woman looks ROUGH first thing in the morning!
