Last movie you saw

The Black Balloon. One of the best pictures ever made in Australia.

The previews to this movie have looked promising, so it's good to hear that you enjoyed it bono. I've got to say, I'm generally very biased against Australian produced movies, mainly all too often due to sub-par production values and just an out right cultural cringe on my part; but I've been looking to give this one a chance, and now I think I will.

What a bore The Constant Gardener was. A tedious, unentertaining ordeal with a subject matter more befitting a documentary (if there is any truth to it).

If there is any benefit to be gained from the film, it is that one must be very careful about falling in-love. Choose the wrong person, and your nice safe existence and pleasant hobby of gardening could all be lost for an early, dismal death.

One other benefit is that now I don't have to waste my time reading the novel.

And why can't you accept private messages?

I do ... from The Mods. :)

No such thing as PMs as such anyway ... you don't actually think that the forum owners and anyone they authorise can't see everything sent using the forum's software between forum members outside normal public threads do you ?

Surely EVERYTHING is archived one way or another including that which you like to call "PM" and everything said in the "chat" area, even if it is only for the purpose of the legal protection of the BBBA owners and duty of care towards its members.

Not only that, but I wouldn't be surprised if everyone's complete BBBA browsing history, every edit, and very IP they logged in with, is also tracked and similarly logged and archived from the moment they log on.

Not all that different to some of the kinds of automagic logging that take place the moment one connects ones ISP to begin any kind of Internet session, so no need to get paranoid ... your every Internet move really IS being tracked in so many different ways.

Damn it! I better stop planning bank heists in PM then! ;)

Has anyone seen "The Mist" yet?

Oh my god... I watched Rush Hour 3 on dvd the other day. I wasn't even the one that hired it out yet I still feel like I deserve some money back. Or at least the 80 minutes of my life it stole from me!

I wanted to send you a news article but the last time I did that in a message there was no chance for you to respond because the thread got closed. So that's why I was asking why you don't accept PM's....

Just tried to PM you and says you have either chosen not to receive PM or are blocked.

Does that mean you haven't received my stalking PMs and the mods see my stalking PMs:eek::p:p?!!

Just finished "Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou"

A nice whimsical little movie. A great cast, Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, Anjelica Huston, Cate Blanchett, Owen Wilson, and Willem Dafoe... that's a pretty damn excellent collection of people. Lots of David Bowie music. A charming fantasy undersea world.

I really liked it. It's now in my little mental "Favourite Movie" list.

That bad huh?

I've seen the first one and liked it. The second one is OK but didn't know they stretched it to 3 movies.

meet the spartans lol

That wasn't even funny..... I went because I had vouchers for a free ticket I had to use up and it wasn't even that funny in answer to the poster after you. Most of the jokes were not even of average humour and most of the funny bits, if you could call them that were in the ads that have been on TV.

Why do they make these shit movies... I could line up this one with Epic Movie too and that was a stinker too.

Friends With Money

Women talking about their miserable marriages and relationships. Didn't feel any emotion through it apart from boredom. And to top it off it had one of the most cheesy and unrealistic 'that would never effing happen in real life' endings. After it had finished I honestly wanted the last 90 minutes of my life back.
