Lol no, the only BB merch they were giving away were eye masks... the rest was DW branded shitDo they have BB logos?
Valid viewpoint, I hope you're right!Keep in mind that the network, not the producers, determine the finale date. Just speculating, but if I were Ten, I'd be setting an early end date too - to limit the negative brand exposure.
They've got their data from this experiment. They know what works and what doesn't. It's best that they retreat, reassess their creative brief to Endemol, build their budgets, and plan for 2026.
But this is rating well. And even if ratings year is done, it's not like advertisers stop advertising two weeks before Christmas. I'm actually a bit surprised they didn't roll the dice and let it run a week longer - or even until the 22nd.Keep in mind that the network, not the producers, determine the finale date. I'm sure they are coming in very handy to shield your eyes from whatever the producers meddle with next.the only BB merch they were giving away were eye masks
Absolutely. That logo was *chefs kiss*The eye masks with the original reboot eyes look nice though.
I don't think Colin is winning anymore, a lot of people find him annoying now on social media and there are less positive comments towards him. More likely to be Vinnie or Allana imoThey had the Head Housemate, potentially a pass to the final or other sort of immunity on Sunday. They are running out of ideas on how to keep in their favorites and every week they keep the show going makes it more likely that they will have to do heavier lifting in the edit and less likely for Colin to win.![]()
Makes me really believe they were hijacked with that logo change at the last minuteThe eye masks with the original reboot eyes look nice though.
MIght be harsh but 2026 is Big Brother Australia's FINAL ever chance imo.The ratings may be great but the season is far from being well received. Either way, considering the HMs have been talking about the end date on the streams for a while, I’m guessing their contract agreements must’ve stated the pre-determined date. It’s even earlier than what we theorised.
So, like everything else these producers have promised this year, the whole “no date is set” and “possibility of extension” was simply to ward off the negative feedback they were receiving on social media before the series started (from casual viewers already complaining about the short series at the time) just long enough to get the show rolling and garner an initial viewership.
Two weeks left to wrap a four-week season… good riddance. We can already see where this is all headed. The way things are going at the moment, it’s becoming increasingly apparent they probably have pre-determined finalists in mind too.
If anything positive can come from this lacklustre over-produced soapie they’ve pulled together this year, is that hopefully next year they can pull their heads in, blame their misdoings on this being a “trial season”, extend the run and realise this is Big Brother and not Love Island while they have a chance to save some face.
Embarrassing for Ten, honestly. It’s been said before but they should’ve just waited til next year.
TV media is generally locked in 6-8 weeks out. It's incredibly difficult to get any kind of last minute media at this time of year. 2025 is pretty much closed out.But this is rating well. No chance of either happening. Not ever.Hopefully they are game enough to allow live streams to show diary room conversations live.
Also have it mentioned in their contracts that anything can be used for TV. Next to zero muting of mics (if it can't be complete zero)

Perhaps @kamui is right and they realised these HMs suck, so did the bare minimum.
Prime time ad space already goes at a premium this time of year, they don't need the show to sell it. They plans were so unclear that they couldn't even get a serious major sponsor.10 EP Sarah Thornton was pretty vague when asked how many weeks it would run, and she works for the network (4th November article):
“We haven’t (confirmed weeks) but obviously you can see we’re heading to Christmas. We will up the pace as we get to the Final, definitely. But, we’re sort of hoping to get to the Final with enough people that the house is still entertaining and that viewers still feel like they’re getting to decide on their favourite for the winner.”

Is that even possible?Maybe they just want to end the series on a high
Wasn't there something mentioned before the season started about a roller coaster nearby needing to reopen for the summer around 8th December?
