Why would they even think much to do that in this current voting format though where voting is free and you're limited to one vote? I feel in previous series when they did that it was to encourage people to vote more and help bring in more revenue.Bring back the showing of the current status of the voting (a graph or percentages or numbers or whatever) at the START of the eviction show and then have the host (in this case, Mel) comment on the numbers.
Mel: "Ooh, Sally and George are close and the lines are still open so you better get voting if you want to save George. Remember it is a vote to SAVE."
And then, mid-way through the show, display an update and do the same again.
Mel: "Ooh, the numbers have changed and it is getting even closer now, so get voting. And, remember, it is a vote to SAVE."
This builds tension and interest and also gives better transparency. And, it also reminds people, often, that it is a vote to SAVE.
Now though you can just vote once, and it isnt money making. You cant be encouraged to vote more as they only allow one vote.
