I would also argue that Terri, Greg and Peter are the definitive bottom 3, each are undeserving.

As for Ben and Trevor they are not unlikeable by any means and are palatable winners but they are the weakest amongst the final three.

Jamie and Aleisha are both very strong winners narratively as well as being likeable. But Reggie was the true protagonist of her series from very early on.

Yeah look I can’t argue with this. I guess boring Peter wanted the money to help raise his little brother, which brings absolutely zero to the viewers and it’s not a charity event, but better than the producers manipulating a racist to win for some unknown reason. Not like the runner up that year was much better anyway.
 
One thing that surprised me this marathon was that I sort of liked Perry. Admittedly I didn’t watch too much but my memory is really not vibing on her at all and finding her extremely irritating, but she seemed not too bad this time?
 
I'm entirely convinced Kris Noble came in his pants when the vote at the start of the finale was 50:50, by a margin of just 300 votes.

It would have generated a surge of votes (aka revenue) that otherwise wouldn't have occurred.

Based on comments in chat in the various marathons (so may/may not be accurate), apparently they were quite close (and are still good friends). He also apparently basically let her run the live shows and do whatever she wanted in his years. Which would be why she appeared to always know exactly what was going on - because she helped plan it.

Oh yeah Ben was probably the best of the three and yet somehow I forgot about him. I’m fairly certain he was winning as well until they kept showing the percentages with photos and Jackie O begged for people to vote for the racist grandma.

In the promos she used to say "religion is the root of all evil". She was an atheist if I can recall. It's usually conservative religious folks that are racist rather than atheists. I think she wanted to be politically incorrect and "hip". She was more naïve and was inquisitive than a legit racist. But hey, that's just me.

The 07 season is the only one of the TEN seasons that I haven't seen in full so I'm looking forward to it.
I just remember seeing the first few when it was revealed there would be no prize money. Obviously, they would be earning it at some point but decided not to watch further because I felt at the time I'd seen it all before and was over it.

I guess Terri was the exception then! She also fan-girled big time for Pauline Hanson and fairly sure One Nation wanted her to join their party in some capacity, she was anti-immigration and said how many issues immigrants have brought into the country. She seemed to have it in for Nobbi, which might be a coincidence but it sure didn’t feel that way. I remember her asking him how he could see with “slits” for eyes (I think that was her phrasing… it’s not mine). This is just off the top of my head.

Girlfriend was racist.
 
It'll be interesting indeed to review BB8 with 2025 eyes. It was bad enough at the time so I expect the official channel will issue content warnings ahead of screening, as they did with BB6. Expect a lot of cringe.
 
I'm only up to the first eviction for 2006, the double eviction, and it's awesome to see how nice and kind Gretel was to Elise. She really liked her
