I saw this and sadly believe it's 100% the reason why some people voted for Trump. They have no idea how this is going to hurt not just the USA and the rest of the world, but themselves personally.

Fuck me. This Rachel Maddow MSNBC segment from before the US election is literally unfolding before our eyes. Very scary for the US and the world.

If you still think US democracy isn't in trouble, please watch the video above in full, and see what you think. Trump didn't tell a rally of Christians to vote for him "and in four years you won't have to vote again" during the campaign for nothing.

This is happening and it's real. Sooner or later Australia will have to make a decision. Europe has already made its position pretty clear. Dutton would easily side with the Nazis but I would hope Labor won't, except they are so pathetic and spineless. Ugh.

Dutton is gonna nail Albo on the 2025 election campaign trail from the minute that writ gets dropped.
 
The US alliance is so baked into the political establishment in this country, they've completely forgotten how to be critical of the US. I feel like they're all just wishful-thinking Trump is a fad and normal services will soon be resumed, so let's just muddle and mumble our way through the next four years.

Hitler was just as big of a loser as Trump, but at least the man could speak. I'm genuinely pissed that the world's going to go through significant turmoil at the hands of a man who speaks like a 14-yo doing a book report on a book he didn't read.

Funny how Trump lost the vast majority of his support in Canada by declaring us the 51st state and how much of our national identity and patriotism is tied to the fact that we are NOT Americans. Also word to the wise if he’s willing to go to war with us best believe you’re next.
