BBUK returns Sun 8 Oct 2023 (and Celeb BB back in 2024)

Yinrun will definitely be top 3, she might just win. Predictably. Trish as well will be there at the end no doubt. Jordan I think is losing his chances of making it there. Henry might just take his place.

Olivia really had a chance to redeem herself into a more enjoyable character with Kerry gone. Chanelle and Jenkin also could have support but like Tom as well they’ve all tarnished their chances by being bitter.

I also agree Noky and Matty aren’t so much tied to the “group”. Both interact with both sides. It really is just the toxic 4 who are making this a thing.

that episode was a lot more positive than last weeks narrative. Olivia fully has redeemed herself in my eyes for admitting she was wrong about Trish.

Tom, count your days.

What even is the record for most nominees for BBUK without an automatic nomination for the whole house?

I’ve also never understood why the UK version has 6 finalists.

6 finalists has been regular since BB7 (CBB4 to be exact). Sometimes there have been fewer, but that’s seen as a standard now. They seem to prefer overfilling the house to guarantee drama in the last leg of the show. Personally for me, the joy of the end of the series is seeing how the final 4 housemates interact, but I guess the fear is that viewers will switch off if it’s a near-empty house.

Regarding nominations, I would assume the record comes from a C5 series where sometimes every housemate who received a nomination would face the vote.

Oh yeah I remember some sort of nominations tag twist in BB16 where everyone except Chloe was nominated.

I hope we're not in for 8 finalists this season. But the other alternative seems to be a double back door eviction, which is just as bad. And I don't see them adding in an extra live show to evict 2 more people before the finale. And we're going to be left with half the cast still remaining on Day 36.

I can see a hybrid eviction next week where there won’t be a crowd, but Will and AJ still present from outside the house, with 2 leaving and being interviewed on L&L. So not a back door eviction, but not one with the bells and whistles of the Friday night set up.

This season really needed to be at least two weeks longer. I don’t think we’re going to get any new storyline’s at all now. Instead we’re probably in for a few episodes of reflecting and conversations about missing home.

Well just 5 HMs nominated so not a record at all. Predictable noms too, though Tom benefitted from the rule break.

Six in the final has always been too many (if this forum goes back to BB7 you'll find me moaning about it I'm sure). Not sure how they're planning to do the interviews given the structure this year but at the moment the final is only scheduled for 90 minutes.

Bundle them each into a cab and record their parting thoughts 7BBAU-style, and play them over the end credits after the winner's done their interview "well that was bollocks innit?"

Yawn. If only the show had some kind of mechanism where the housemates and the viewers could get people out of the house.
