In all seriousness, I find it kinda bemusing to paint actions by fed and state leaders in such a partisan way.
Im not aware of a strict Liberal or Labor philosophy in being able to deal with a pandemic. This is all on the fly stuff.
The world is our graph. All sorts of directions and actions. But its far too soon to congratulate or dismiss such.
We are but at the tip of the iceberg.
The 7/8ths of such still to be revealed in coming months, years and economically decades.
Having said all that..

Having said all that..
I’ve been thinking about this. I thought I kind of agreed with this but the ADF/ Vic Premier stuff is interesting and perhaps politics played a role in how some decisions were made.
I was initially impressed with the cross-party Cross-State unified efforts in early days of the pandemic, but it’s a bit concerning to see the political point scoring creeping in. Inevitable I guess.
I’m all for politicians of every persuasion being held accountable for their actions. In my opinion earlier mistakes are more excusable than later mistakes.

Dont disagree at all. But in my view its not even so much what elected leaders are doing but the hypebole and instant outrage of the public.
Its a no win situation for anyone in charge. People are scared, or skeptical but most assuredly confused. As even the most people with the best information at hand are. We still dont fully understand what we are dealing with. So to cast aspersions on what actions are taken by our respective leaders i n charge seems stupidly reactive to me. And absolutely counter productive.
I just get a sad feeling of a pervasive "nobody can tell me what to do"
When the feeling should be lets help, aid and support each other without laying a blame game.
That can and should come later.
But now is the time to band together and not disband.

Well said @Fuzz......can we please get back the aim of this thread, be kind, be funny, be helpful, support good causes coming from the virus
There are some good things....
Our environment is much cleaner, animals are freer -wandering around suburbs and cities
We need some more of the GOOD posters, get some wit about posting
Can we please stop with the trivial gif wars, they give most people a headache and are meaningless
And take the doomsday politicking elsewhere....make a new thread if that is all you want, just to have politicking arguments on an endless loop
Support and be kind, be funny, but stop being boring petty shit stirrers/flamers

Pointless, they are all doing the best they can with a terrifying situation, on the run, I feel sorry for all of them
Calling to have someone removed is the height of stupidity, what a mess that would leave
I feel such sadness for the young, they are inheriting the worst world, it is so unfair
But I am an optimist, and I pray that they can have their time for fun and fresh air.
Clearly others are being silly as a defense

I think @kxk would just like this thread to get back to its original purpose...a more grass roots level of discussion on how the virus has affected anyone here whether that be "Good, Bad or Ugly". This thread does goes WAY OT at times but I'm not saying I don't enjoy those posts just perhaps they would be more suitable in a thread dedicated to "who's doing a good job and who fucked up and what they should do about it now". I always learn a lot from this forum and I appreciate the intelligence and wit of many posters here but politics isn't for everyone.
And I totally agree that Brett Sutton is hot (especially when he had long hair) but I find Nick Coatsworth to be right up there too!
