Post BB Housemate Antics - Part 5

Well not socially distancing that's for sure.

Zoe, Laura, Xavier, Mat, Dan, Sophie, Casey, Angela, Marissa, Shane, Soobong, Dani, Chad, Sarah, Tahlia, Hannah, Alan, Kieran are the ones I remember. The names of the other two have slipped my mind.

Seriously though, last night’s shenanigans on all the HMs Instagram Stories... does Sydney not have to socially distance or something? Serious question.
Yeah we do - someone will probably get in trouble for this.
They fine individuals $1,000 and businesses $5,500 for breaking the health orders. A few pubs have been done big time because pictures surfaced of huge lines outside without social distancing.
It's ridiculous though, because come Tuesday, there will be a huge BLM protest in the city that will get the go ahead from the Supreme Court. Can't line up at a pub, can't celebrate ANZAC day, can't have more that 5 people at your house, but thousands of people can protest at a BLM rally.
I love my city, but it's priorities are fucked.

Chad has been on the talk show circuit and is predictably buffoonish and inarticulate.

I predicted he would win, and could appear on Home and Away. I'll add he could appear on House Rules, DNA Magazine, and Pornhub.

I wonder if they would have shown that if Hannah and/or Kieran had made it into the final three?
Doubtful. If you look at the episodes, how much of the actual footage shown is of incidental housemate encounters ? Very little if any at all. Footage we are seen in the episodes is primarily taken during these times:
  • First thing in the morning (when Big Brother's day starts, and housemates have some kind of surprise waiting)
  • A few miscellaneous clips during this time, leading up to either reward challenge or to some contrived scene (think furniture robbery, dog, goldfish, gingerdread house, swimming pool banter etc.)
  • Reward challenge or miscellanious activity directed by the 'fun' producer, monkeying around selectively shown and interspersed with diary room narratives. Mainly some kind of narrative with Producers' favorite housemate of the day- eg. Kieran talking about his strategy , Chad having a beer, Dan and Mat having a wrestle etc.
  • Any night time footage and the housemates enjoying the results of the reward budget very rarely shown, if it was shown it was mostly earlier in the season when they went to bed, unless they were rewarded a special meal but that is only limited to highlights eg. clinking glasses and one of the housemates doing something silly. Thus one might conclude that footage after this special task until the next day is not available and crew often just called it a day.
  • Next day, with BB's shift start, footage shown leading up to the next challenge. I don't think we actually see much morning footage on this day.
  • Challenge footage
  • Camera crew now on edge to grab decent footage with the discussions leading up to nominations
  • Nomination footage
  • Result of nomination footage
  • Eviction room, cameras in corridor leading up to diary room (getting a solid workout here)
  • Result of eviction footage
Episode done on a budget and also presenting each housemate in the most contrived, uncontroversial way possible!

I doubt it was like that. They probably fit the edit to suit the storylines of the final three.

Just because someone has nude pictures in 2020 does not mean they will do porn lol.

They had cameras that could record while being unmanned as was shown during the 2 day COVID production break. I am sure that cameras were recording 24/7, they just decided to only show what suited the edit they were going for.

During COVID they HAD to use the unmanned footage over those hours. If they did or didn't actively film or bother with the rest of the footage is irrelevant. At the end of the day, they strictly made a daily show and two secret scenes every week, and beyond that, nothing more ever gets seen. The Hannah kissing Kieran thing is more than relevant in their stories in the house, yet they couldn't cough that up even in a special. My opinion still stands that there is no diary or notes taken of what happens outside the production focus intervals, if you don't agree that's fine, but I havent' seen any evidence of it. :)
