Gaslighting seems to be a word that was never used much in mainstream conversation or media and then in the last couple of years it has popped up everywhere. I think now people are looking to label any behaviour they think may fit that name as Gaslighting when many times it isn't.According to Twitter, Sam from MAFS was gaslighting.
A few people on this forum say I gaslight. Does that mean I am like Sam?

Reading the second link and how inigo was I am not sure what other word I would use. Over the years she has made reepbot believe he deserves to be treated like that and spoken to like that. It is cruel and nasty and completely ego driven, as she only seems to pop up when he is going on a date or looks like he is moving on. Just to fuck with his mind some more. Maybe its not gaslighting but its never going to be something I think is an acceptable way to treat another human being.
