I think the ability and comfort level to have open and honest communication with your partner is probably the key to success so ease of conversation is absolutely important. And nothing to do with charm. Apollo was charming too but he had crickets. And you need to see people how they really are... How many times do you hear people say oh I will get together with him or her and try and change this or that about them. Nope. You need to love someone warts and all. No pedistools, no changes.is ease and naturalness conversation flow important or just an indication that stu is more charming than Jarrod? and putting someone on a pedestal is like making them greater then they are?

There is a diffence between loving someone and being in love with someonebut can't you still love people from your past who through their interactions with you made the person you are today?

There is a diffence between loving someone and being in love with someone
What's the difference to you?
so its ok for Stu to say he’ll always love his ex? but not for Jarrod to say he’ll always love Sophie? It's not romantic if the object of your desire doesn't love you. That is when it becomes an unhealthy obsession. Presumably he won't stay single forever, so future partners are going to have to deal with his declaration of never-ending love for Sophie Monk. Do you see now?
if he genuinely felt love why would he be able to turn that off like a tap
I have people in my past that I will always love - we’re just not supposed to be together ... however I still feel love towards them ... Im not IN LOVE with them ... time heals and you can look back and remember the good stuff and the crappy stuff that caused the end of the relationship fades
I get that stu and his ex have a history and children and of course its very different compared to the Bachelorette experience however the whole surmise of the show is for them to meet and fall in love ... Jarrod gets criticised because he wore his heart on his sleeve and put it all out there... I cant discount his feelings as something “less”
He will heal and hopefully find love again
Lets remember he was lead on through all of this to believe Sophie had feelings for him
Witness her running up, saying God Ive missed you and leaping up into his arms and wrappping her legs around him. That doesnt sound like someone who doesnt return some feelings towards you.
I dont see the unhealthy obsession there.
I hope Sophie and Stu do work out but personally all I see are obstacles
Hopefully I’ve misjudged Stu

So being honest with each other is an important trait for a long term relationship? But how honest do you mean? Because aren't there different degrees of honesty though?
Hmmm kinda hard to explain. In love is the romantic stff and love is the respect stuff. So you can have both for someone. What's the difference to you?

I think the distinction is between "always love" and "always be in love with".
I agree with the rest of your post though

In my mind yes I think so.So love is more platonic, respect kind of thing?

like if a person was dating someone they wouldn't be honest about every part of their opinions or values would they?

what does it feel like to be in love?

Oh SHUT UP already..
you shouldn't talk to isee like that.
Perhaps not an open book on date one. But for a relationship to survive ideally you would want to know if you are compatible on the same topics of importance, or can be respectful regarding the opinions thst differ. Thete will be some issues that are fundamental deal breakers for people. Lying about that is never going to end well.like if a person was dating someone they wouldn't be honest about every part of their opinions or values would they?

I was talking to you.
I feel like foreigner wrote a song about that sort of questonwhat does it feel like to be in love?
