The Bachelorette 2017

I look at this relationship as this - Jarrod wore his heart out there and I am sure he will be flocked with many cool women ready to be with him. He is Honest and a good dude. Stu comes with BAGGAGE and well, maybe sophie can cope with that. Lets hope he has sperm frozen. The Divorce might be nasty or quick or fore ever going - MONEY TALKS ...........

Awww, that's cruel to put Jarrod in the final two when Sophie already knows he's so invested in her. I'm disappointed in her for that... but I guess in her defence, she might have intended to let him go a bit earlier, but her dates with other people (Blake, Apollo) were too much of a fail that she just had to let them go first? Kind of like in Richie's season, Olena would have been great to take to the final two because she wasn't that invested, but then it became too obvious how uninvested she was so he kind of had to let her go at number three.

And/or maybe Sophie was really wrestling with the head vs. heart for that long. Anyway she won some points back when she said "I'm an arsehole". No one else ever says that but it's basically the role the lead plays every finale - out of the lot I think Sam Frost did best in her choice of runner-up, probably couldn't have done better really.

Sophie does seem to have a sweet connection with Stu though, so I hope it works out. And the pictures of Jarrod arriving in Sydney for the TV finale, it looks like he's in good spirits, so that's nice to see that he isn't doing too badly. Maybe everyone can be happy!

P.S. I'm starting to think the phrases "you're a beautiful person" and "I care for you" can be the warning code phrases for "I'm not going to choose you in the end so please be prepared" in the Bachelor and Bachelorette series. It seems the people who don't get chosen are usually the recipients of these phrases!

anyway rewatching on Goggle Box tonight when Barry Dubois from The Living Room was telling his audience about his cancer returning ... it puts things back into perspective ... I cried when I saw it the first time ... and I cried again tonight ... I dont even know the guy but the love that was in that studio with him ... with that team of people from the show ... just beautiful. and so so moving ..

night all ... I need to detatch for a bit Im ok - just a bit sooky after watching him again
Catch you tomorrow

Crimmy, I hope you are feeling a bit brighter today. As sad as the announcement was, it was also very, very beautiful.

I just wanted to say that I had a very similar reaction to you, watching Barry's announcement the first time around. As nice as it was to see the people of Gogglebox show their support and share in the emotions, it was very uncomfortable and sad to see it again. The love in the studio was amazing. Amanda is cheeky, she ribs Barry a LOT, but her words and emotions were so genuine, as were Chris and Miguel's.

I lost a good friend to cancer earlier this year and it honestly still isn't at the 'easier' stage that people promise. I think Barry's announcement just reminded me how angry I am at cancer, such a ruthless and senseless disease.

It's also a reminder that EVERYONE out there should get regularly checked for cancer, particularly if they have survived it previously. I had cancer in 2012, luckily mild in the scheme of things, but when Barry said he'd missed some check ups, my heart just sank. I learned from my own cancer, that your health and being ALIVE are the most important things to those around you. So as busy as life gets, it is so important to prioritise your health for the people you love, even when you can't love yourself.

I'm still disappointed. I don't know why, but I bought into the fantasy that Sophie wanted a normal life, with a normal guy. (Hi James).
Despite all her protestations that she's just a dag in trackie pants, we didn't see anything other than swathes of makeup and cocktail dresses on the show. Why didn't they have a few dates where they slouched around the house in trackies, doing what normal people do? Is Stu even willing to do that, or does he want a trophy wife to impress his socialite friends?

Can be explained away by the rumour she was already dating Stu, and thus he was scripted into the show as a late intruder. Why else would they cast a married guy? There is zero logic to that, and on face value seems irresponsible, unethical and gives an appalling example to young impressionable people watching.

If Sophie was hoping this process would make Australia love her, I think her judgement is flawed. She hasn't walked the talk whatsoever. A lot of the audience (ie. women) will come away with the impression that she is a skank who happily screws around with married men.

Got in late and my recording's sound kept dropping out every few words in that irritating digital way c/- weather, so it was really quite annoying to watch. I wish Sophie's roots had been retouched for that finale. I think Stu is madly infatuated with her, and felt for his kids watching all that gloopy stuff on the hammock - plus there is just something so awkward about watching people kiss, especially if they are your dad. Anyway, I think he's the best choice out of the bunch they served up to her, and it would be sweet if they were the real deal and lived happily ever after in their ugg boots and cosy trackies...

Go Channel Ten! (Please renew Australian Survivor, thanks.)

TEN scores their biggest night of 2017
October 27th, 2017 By David Knox Filed under: News,

Sophie Monk has managed to give TEN their best night since July 2016.

The Bachelorette drew 1.32m for the bulk of its finale, rising to 1.64m for the moment she chose publican Stuart Laundy. That was the show’s biggest ever audience and well up on Matty J’s recent Bachelor finale (980,000 / 1.12m).

It swamped the competition with Home and Away, 7:30 and RBT all under the 600,000 mark. TEN’s dating show dominated the demos and trended at #1 on social media last night.

TEN Chief Content Officer, Beverley McGarvey, said: “The combination of Sophie, romance, excitement, humour, love and amazing dates had all of Australia captivated byThe Bachelorette Australia this year.

“Our sincere thanks and congratulations go to Sophie and Stu, who leave the show with our very best wishes for the future.

Gogglebox was also a winner for TEN also claiming its biggest ever audience at 952,000 viewers.

With the ratings success of Sophie's season will we see more c list celebrities try their chance at love on this show? I mean heaven forbid we may see Tully on the bachelorette next season!

She wanted to be seen as 'normal', she isn't she loves the limelight.

She would go to the opening of a fridge, envelope etc.
