Episode I'm A Celebrity! AU (2017) - Episode Discussion

I have no idea how this works (it claims to be "live")
I put it in spoiler tags, don't click if you don't want to know who is most popular.

OK that is based on who is clicking like, love, or lol on their FB page, not the actual phone result.

But that is a clear lead. Who knows if people spending money to call will feel the same way.

Wow I can't believe Nat got so far, I guess there are more old Neighbours fans than I assumed, Izzy was a popular bitch, or old dance fans, and more people with shit music taste....that shrieking she did just gave me ear ache.....but it made it into Doctor Who.
Go Casey!!!!

THERE’S no show without punch — the final three I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here contestants ended up having to be rescued in the last Tucker Trial of the season.

And it wasn’t a high wire or gruesome food Trial that stopped celebrities in their tracks.

Casey Donovan, Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Dane Swan were rendered immobile as they attempted to wade through non-Newtonian fluid in the Back To Your Future challenge.

“It’s unquestionably the most dramatic finale trial in the shows history, in any country,” channel Ten head of entertainment and factual programming Stephen Tate said.

Hosts Julia Morris and Chris Brown had to step in, as well as two rangers and a safety officer to ply the trio out of the liquid with the assistance of wooden planks.

Non-Newtonian fluid allows a person to walk across it if they move quickly but once stuck you must move slowly to release yourself. Sudden movements thicken the liquid similarly to concrete setting.

Heat is a catalyst for the chemical reaction and with temperatures of 36 degrees plus, the fluid solidified faster than expected.

“We wanted to stop Dane Swan in his tracks ... we did that,” Brown mused.

All is well that ends well with none of the celebrities injured and all finding the experience amusing.

ZOMG: It's a world first.

Alex Mavroidakis doing his world first crap again.

Sounds like an over-complicated and near-impossible challenge. Why not let them have some fun instead?

I kinda only want to see the end tonight, the rest sounds a bit meh.

I'm desperate for Casey to win, and although Nat would be quite underwhelming as a winner she has contributed more than Dane I feel.

Regardless of the outcome, I think Casey will win more than anyone as she will have a new huge fanbase and I think a renewed career too. This is also true for Naz.

Laughing man just on the Project, very cute
Now WA has gone to the dogs story - I used to live there, but boy has it changed for the worse

Guys I am freaking out! It's probably just over two hours until the winner is announced. Get my tissues ready @Kaz if Casey doesn't win! :p

Anyway enough about me I just wanted to say thank you to all the lovely bunch of people in here. I have had fun reading your posts and thanks for letting me contribute though I know I sound like a drama queen most of the time! ;) He he

Nazeem is coming up on the Project, I plan on seeing his comedy show this festival

And yeah, we have had a fun live chat thread....to be continued in Gogglebox, and whatever takes our fancy next....might take a peak at the new BL, now they have removed that awful trainer couple and taken it looks like a more reasonable road

@marquisite or any mod can you please edit out my posting error above???
Sorry....please?

I'm actually looking forward to this final trial with them getting stuck. It sounds like it was amusing at the very end for everyone involved.

Wow. I am actually surprised how popular Nat is. Like you said in another post she hasn't done anything that has stood out from the others, well I think her over the top screaming is hilarous though :p. Still I rather her win than another sports person.

HEY!!!! I am one of those people with 'shit music taste' :p:laugh: Natalie's debut solo album was quite good (number 1 in the charts also) and I'm really surprised she didn't have a second. Any other Nat Bass music fans going to come out of the closet too? :p

I had forgotten Nat did that god awful duet with Knollsie, eeeeeeeeeeek

and I was talking about her shouty band Rough something or other

That's right the Kate Bush cover. Um I'm not ashamed to admit that the single is in my collection. :cautious::laugh:
