New Off Topic Thread ..... (Everyone: please be nice)

I'm addicted to cruising - for my holidays! I think you would definitely get sick of it if it was an all the time thing. I met an elderly couple on one cruise that had been doing it for two years with just a couple of small breaks. With the same company, on the same ship. All the staff knew them by name and they displayed a sense of ownership to other passengers. But it can't have still been fun - surely.

The longest cruise I have done is 14 days but I reckon I could handle a month, but no longer.

I agree, you would get sick of it if you did it every day. Plus you would probably miss your friends and family back home.

3,500 passengers is a fair size.
Biggest we've been on. The 'shopping mall' is large enough for them to conduct a street parade of Disney characters and some of the inside cabins have a view of this area.
Maybe too big and busy? We'll see - but we can always just laze on our balcony if we want quiet.

Wow that is big.

It might be busy, but like you said you can always laze on the balcony.

I doubt it, never been on one, I think I would prefer a smaller ship, some enormous ones make me think they would tip over with bad weather.

I like being on boats, driving boats.

Who hasn't got tickets? No actual Americans want to go so they're just inviting everyone. I've got a +8 for my man harem. https://twitter.com/PaulineHansonOz/status/820774071612805120 …

Pauline, of course, responded with a baffling burn rooted in Islamophobia, as is pretty much everything she says:

I hope @LeeLinChinSBS your harem isn't also rorting the taxpayer by collecting welfare like some other harems do because that is a bad look. https://twitter.com/LeeLinChinSBS/status/820792351886970881 …

Hanson is clearly unaware of the first rule of engaging in an argument with a fictionalised version of someone on the internet: don't, because it makes you look like a dumbass, because they can just say whatever:
(personal comment - everyone should learn this, and live by it on the net, arguing with an internet anyone is dumb - you are probably talking to a 12 year old, quite often unwell people, maybe a genuine genius - point is you don't know, don't assume you do. And beware of over sharers, there is usually a bad reason they share too much too soon)

Men pay to be in my harem. It's like you don't even know who I am. https://twitter.com/paulinehansonoz/status/821212021135798273 …

I got 17 out of 17, what did you get wrong?
I am a bit of a word -aholic, my Mum started me on track, she would fall in love with a word and talk about it dreamily.
Oxford Dictionary used to be my favourite read, still is sometimes.
