US 2016 Presidential Election

Hillary and Bernie, so close, just a few tosses of the coin in it. I'm starting to #FeelTheBern!

Who are you wanting to be the next president?
I honestly do not know much about US politics at all - but a coupleof friends have an interest. And ocassionally i read stuff! I think I want Obama to be the next president really. But we cant have him abd apparently Clinton is the closest to Obama. From what I have rwad...

Oh ok. US presidents only have two terms I think (that is if they are elected for a second term).

Bernie Sanders is an interesting candidate...at approximately 70, his total worth is only about 2 years pay. He's either the extreme socialist he says, or that dude knows how to party money away.

Yes. Is that consecutive terms or Ever terms? Well I think Trump would probably drive America to all sorts of bizarre wars IF he were elected, which I refuse to believe he could possibly be, which would just be tedious so ... Don't Want Him!

I don't want him either!

Trump is just marginally too far fetched.
A realistic candidate must emerge

I'm more interested to see how Bernie Sanders does. And how the Clinton camp responds to it.
Well that is of interest, yes, of course, but they do not seem so insane. So are merely interesting, rather than the car crash fascination of Trump. Thankfully. It's a bit like how I was fascinated by Abbott. He was just so horrible that I was increasingly drawn in to despising him. Anyway hopefully Trump will not win much of all the pre-election stuff, let alone the real election stuff. That would be just too weird.

Honestly I think I'd prefer Trump to Cruz if these were seriously the options for the republican candidate. I guess easy for me to say since I'm not American and it doesn't actually affect my life. I miss Ben Carson! Trump has been the stuff of dreams for comedians and political observers and really just about everyone but his time is winding up surely.

I guess one big plus for Trump is that he is too rich to ever be bribed, but that hardly seems a good reason to elect someone.

Ehhh, the insanity of the republican party can get pretty boring tbh. Just a contest to see who can be more extreme than the other. I think that the complexity of the democratic presidential nomination is way more interesting just for the fact that i want to see if Sanders can make any headway nationwide against Clinton. I'm also curious to see, if Clinton does win the nomination, how the more rabid supporters of Bernie Sanders will vote. Because I have read that some people are either thinking voting for Trump if he wins the republican nomination, or they might not vote at all if Hilary is the democratic candidate. Which goes to show the toxic resentment these elections can have on people.
