What's for dinner?

I LOVE beetroot! I'll have to watch for the pink pee next time I eat it.

Last night we had Johnny's Burgers. I read about them on facebook & was like OMG we gotta do this. OH had the chilli beef burger with chilli sauce & hot hot jalepenos... he likes it hot & he said it was HOT! I had a regular burger.. it was ok but the bun took over. It was too bready. We also had chilli cheese fries. So yeah.. my cutting down on carbs is going reaaallllly well. :woot:

Awwww boo! Do you have Red Dot stores where you are or other discount type shops... they might sell them.

Omg those burgers and fries look yummo and would love to try the chilli beef burger.

No, don't have Red Dot stores in Sydney as far as I know. I am on a mission to track down one of these zoodles.

Will keep you posted

Breakfast : I've been doing it wrong.

I've been doing some research and got some advice on portion size, and apparently the correct amount of skim milk I'm supposed to be having on my cereal is 1/2 a cup. I did that this morning, and it's a ridiculously small amount. It's basically one Weet Bix with a tiny sprinkle of a fruity cereal, anything more than that and it would be too dry. I'm also allowed to have one slice of wholegrain toast with a thin spread of butter and vegemite, or one egg.

What does everyone else have for breakfast, regardless of whether you're dieting or not?

Depends.

Some days I don't have breakfast at all, I could get through the whole day on two coffees and then some dinner, other days when I'm not so busy I actually take time for a good breakfast. I'll make myself 2 boiled eggs/ poached (depends on my mood), avocado and 2 slices of toast. If not eggs I love my porridge, creamy porridge. Just add a little coconut on top and I'm set. I dislike cereal in the morning, but I could snack on it at night lol

Breakfast (when I'm good): Mixed berries & yoghurt. Poached eggs on wholemeal toast. Fruit salad. Porridge or Bircher Muesli.

Breakfast (when I'm bad): Bacon & egg roll or Big Breakfast (very bad but oh so delish). Chicken Caesar roll or hot roast beef roll & gravy. These foods are from the local café near work.

I mostly try and stick to the good breakfast list.

I'm not dieting, I've never dieted in my life actually, maybe I should try.

However my breakfasts are pretty varied. Very out of character for me usually but there is this protein powder I am obsessed with and have that most days with almond milk. If not that then I have oats with 1/4-1/3 cup of almond milk, some combo of poached eggs, toast and a meat (bacon, sausages or even steak) or other days I just go nuts and have some kind of ice cream or I crush up my choice of biscuit and serve it like cereal. Just today I made some pancakes and actually yesterday I had French toast, because why not? Told you it was varied!

I usually have a fruit smoothie. Fills me up until lunchtime. On the weekends I like to have a blow out & have scrambled eggs on toast or bacon & egg buttie. mmmm bacon....

If I eat breakfast I like cake or danishes, start out the day with some fun.
Usually it is 2 home made espresso coffees - eat something later mid morning maybe, make it brunch usually healthy stuff.

I just discovered the very best dinner shortcut, who knew you could buy frozen chopped onion?
On special at woolworths, 2 packs for $4.
If I have onion done I am much more inclined to cook, onion is the base for everything pretty much.

And have you also discovered the cauliflower cheese and scalloped potato frozen, the potatoes are awesome, and everyone thinks you slaved away. Such quickie convenient stuff around now, meat & 3 veg can be ready in 15 mins, love those handy steam your vegies in a little bag.
And before you mock me for being super slack - I have hand issues, sometimes I can't chop at all.

I tried to make creamy garlic prawns tonight. The sauce was a mega fail... i'm so annoyed. So we had fucking prawns, which were overcooked and not bursty or pleasant at all. I might head to maccas in a bit to drown my sorrows in salt & fat & fries. *sigh*

Making hot dogs with german pork bratwurst, fried onion, cheese, mustard & sauce. I am excite![DOUBLEPOST=1446439407][/DOUBLEPOST]

I was in the Post Office today & saw a zoodle maker. It was $20 bucks though...

Chicken Kiev from the deli section, not a frozen one, with fresh asparagus and baked onion. Alcohol free week too. Going to make chicken stroganoff tomorrow morning.
