You could very well be right. I'm assuming something must go down at Heather's hometown date. Their body language is still good at the moment and seems to be for next week's preview too and Sam is still picking her for the first rose, etc. Usually when a girl is on their way out they spend a few episodes highlighting why they wouldn't work with Sam.

From the preview I think it's Heather's step dad at the end who's giving Sam the major grilling. He didn't look comfortable. That might make him realise that if he's not 100% sure he should let her go then. I think he does care about Heather a lot even if it's not 100% romantic and he might not want to drag her through that.

Also Heather seems like a bit of a slow mover in the physical stakes. That's usually fine (I'm exactly the same) but on the show when they only have a certain amount of time it can be a problem. From their interactions it seems like Sam wants more from her physically but she still seems to have a wall up there to me. Traditionally they up the intimate/physical stuff in the final 3 dates and Sam might want to let her go before that if he can't see that wall coming down by then.

Yes that is when it all happens... I actually started to wonder the minute they didn't show Sam and Heather's interaction at the last cocktail party

Just thinking out loud.

what if Sam was going to choose Snez and then she consulted the ex husband on the possibility of moving and he's thrown a spanner in the works by saying he will fight it?

Although thinking about it he probably wouldn't be consulted until after Sam made his choice.

It's a tough situation for all of them really. If Sam chooses to go with someone with complications like that over someone easier to fit into HIS life then it'll be because of true feelings in any case.

But don't know if that is just that i am reading things into the way he looks at heather cos she is my fav!
 
More confusing than ever.

If Heather is friendzoned it's something that they've been hinting at all season - I originally had thought that they kept harping on it to mislead us, but if that's what ends up happening I'd prefer it to something bad happening on home towns (if that makes sense?). It would just mean that he doesn't feel that way about her.

Depending on Wednesday night's dates, I'm starting to think this might be leading towards Sarah.. (but this opinion may change at any time)

They're going way too hard on the Lana is amazing thing in the media (even Sam's "I worry she's too good for me" comments seem weird in context).

I really think she's a cover for Snez or Sarah...which would make sense if Heather (the original front runner) goes after the hometown dates.
