The Bachelor Australia 2015

Yep when you think about it, in reality none of the front runners seem compatible.
Perhaps that's why he likes Lana, she has travelled and lived in Mexico, maybe she's ready to settle down.
Good point. I so think being bachelor with all these women surrounding you gives you the false belief you think you need to be the one impressed rather than falling for someone and having equal say. Probably why many don't make the long run afterwards. So maybe he isn't controlling normally bit the false sense of the show gives him that control

For the past few months Sam has lived the life where he has had total control of who stays and who goes. It doesn't seem like he doesn't really have to impress his dates, but the dates have to impress him. I think what I am trying to say is that when you have basically lived the past few months being told that you are the man then I imagine it would be pretty difficult to think of other people like Snez and her daughter.

I actually saw that interaction completely opposite. I saw it as him revealing that maybe he's not in fact ready to settle down and wants to travel the world first and Lana would be a good ticket/companion to that.

On one hand I think Sam is very mature and stable (his business, no bullshit attitude) but at the same time he's a very young 35. It seems like he's missed out on a lot of life experiences (travel, living abroad, etc) that a lot of people just see as a common thing to do.

Girl you and me both. I know Snez would have gone into it knowing there was a high likelihood of Bachie living far away...but Sam also went into the experience I'm sure knowing that there was a high likelihood of the girls he connects with most not living in Melbourne. It'll be interesting if they end up together who ends up being more willing to make that sacrifice. His "how attached" are you to WA also tells me that maybe Sam doesn't really understand the weight of Snez's current situation.

I just really hope she questions him tonight about whether he'd be willing to do it for her as well because the ball cant be in Sam's court forever.
I know. I've agreed with just about every one of your posts so far. I'm glad someone sees it like me because I find it hard to understand in this day and age that the sacrifice should only fall on a woman.

@Witty Banter made a good point too about his assertion with lana on the topic. He is not open to moving at all. So on paper that only leaves Sarah. But I just don't see it or maybe I should say I don't see it yet.

That makes so much sense. Good perspective on things gem.

On review of the whole date, yes I see this too. He would be on a high from this show and of course he will be paid from it, it would make sense to travel one last time before settling down

I found Sam's assertion to Lana that Melbourne was the given wasn't very diplomatic. Maybe he is controlling, or maybe he thinks Bachelor gets say. I don't think all men think like that. He should have pretended it was a discussion.
Nah, as I said before, he's a typical business owner...he's developed this business for years.Moving appears to not be his preferred compromise.
He could have conveyed it better though and explained it more.
But lol I actually think Lana was already a bit overwhelmed by his intensity.

Yeah. I mean don't get me wrong, I wouldn't expect him to move either because of his business and I understand completely that he'd want to stay close to his family too especially after what happened with their mother.

But heck, at least pretend for politeness sake that'd it'd be an actual discussion. The way the moving discussions have come up so far really don't help when the power imbalances of the show have already been so heavily criticised.

Hmm I don't think that's fair. Why does it fall on snezena? The bachelor must realise they are finding potential love interests for him and they will be all over AUS. Not just Melbourne based, like in the case of Sam. It's two ways not just on snezena. Plus he and her were probably thinking it was going to be an issue when they realised how far they live, but they made the connection unlike many who were closer ranged to him.

Yes My feminist side is coming out. But I don't think it should fall on snezena alone
I know in the real world it shouldn't - but she's applied to go on a show that matches her with someone and the whole premise is they'll find their happily ever after thing ... to do that you need to be open (BOTH of you - I agree with you) BUT she has given off vibes of "you'll do your thing and I'll concentrate on my daughter" and that she's happy in her life right now and he'll just have to be an accessory to that ... to me that's not really being open and inclusive

Sam hasn't actually said he won't move ... he has franchises of his business apparently ... and yes you can run a business from anywhere with technology these days ... I'm just thinking from a practical point of view moving over to WA would make it pretty expensive travelling to the East Coast and back regularly to keep an eye on things ... I don't see him as a corporate businessman - I think he loves being totally involved ... and maybe he can refocus the business over in WA

but they have to actually date and have a real relationship first and see how things work out ... so before they get to the point of rearranging where they settle etc there will be a lot of travelling to and fro ...

I guess I just don't see it from that point of view plus I don't actually see them gelling past the initial physical connection

I can't see Sam and Snez working out. It seems like it would be an enormous inconvenience/sacrifice for either of them to move. That is a big ask to do so for someone realistically that you hardly know.

I find this interesting. You're right, the control is with Sam atm, post show I wonder how it goes. I never watched the Nast bachelor and know nothing of Blake and Sam, but there were so many articles on them.

Someone like Snez, I don't think she would be the type to be the submissive type at all, or heather, or Sarah, in fact I can't see any of them being this way post show.
I don't think Sam would want a submissive type anyway ... yes he has control to the point of its HIS decision but they do after all have a choice to leave if they don't feel it ... that's why it gets so hard from here on in ... because these final girls are supposedly so invested in their relationship with Sam ... whilst he's still doing the eeeny meeny miiiny mo thing sorting out his feelings

That makes so much sense. Good perspective on things gem.

its not as if they are expecting to immediately get married and settled down though - this is why Blake proposing last year was absolutely ridiculous - what a total fool he was to be pressured into it! After all he STILL hasn't gotten engaged to Louise even though they are still together. Anna and Tim are having a great time travelling and attending the opening of envelopes all around the place.
He said he wants kids etc and that he's at a stage in his life where he's ready ... but that doesn't mean it has to be straight away ...

bloody Blake - I blame him for all of this expectation of an immediate resolution and happy ending

Sam Woodbroke one major rule ofThe Bacheloron Wednesday night's episode – and fans aren't happy.

The 35-year-old sweated his way through an uncomfortable rose ceremony, walking out and coming back with a controversial decision. Watch above to see what he did with his remaining three roses!

Sam's unconventional move left fans reeling on social media, with many taking to the show's Facebook page to complain about feeling "ripped off".

"What a rip off, why did we establish the institution of the rose ceremony if we're just going to hand out roses willy nilly!? How dare you Sam, how very dare you! You've soiled the good name of The Bachelor with your shenanigans. #TeamHeather," one wrote.

Another added: "Talk about an anti-climax. Was as underwhelming as a footy game draw."

Come on Bachie, don't string us along like this!

Actress/directorHeather Maltmanis still a favourite to win, but doe-eyed intruderLana Jeavons-Fellowshas leapt to the front of the pack. It's all in your hot, sweaty hands, Bachie.

It does make you wonder as to the whole Machiavellian thing behind it all and what pressure they're all under. I think Anna and Tim are doing it well.

They don't see eye-to-eye: The Bachelor's Sarah Mackay reveals she and Sam Wood aren't 'in the same frame of mind' about their futures
ByALICIA VRAJLAL FOR DAILY MAIL AUSTRALIA

She's considered as a firm favourite to win the third season of The Bachelor Australia.

But blonde beauty Sarah Mackay has opened up about how she and eligible hunk Sam Wood haven't exactly seen eye-to-eye, in respect to how they would like their futures to pan out.

Speaking toOK!magazine, the 26-year-old event manager from Victoria said: 'I wasn't in the same frame of mind when it came to settling down and having kids'. production must hate OK magazine - are they spoiling who the next original leaving is?

Not in the same head-space: The Bachelor Australia star Sarah Mackay says she and Sam Wood didn't quite see eye-to-eye when it came to their futures

Almost a decade younger than 35-year-old Sam, it's understandable that Sarah still has plenty more of the world she would like to see before settling down.

'He really wanted children straight away, whereas I wanted to travel with my partner and find out everything about him, live with him first and then maybe in the next two years start thinking about children,' she told the publication.

Sam has previously opened up about his desire to have children, saying two girls and one boy would be ideal.

Meanwhile last month reports inWoman's Dayemerged, suggesting Sarah was still in a relationship with her boyfriend of two years, Jake May.

Different priorities: Sam is keen to settle down straightaway and have a family while Sarah would like to travel more

When one of Sarah's sisters shared a photo from Sarah's time on the reality show on Facebook, it was met with a string of scathing comments.

'I'm so confused, thought your sis had a long time boyfriend...' one friend wrote, while another said: 'Are cheating :;)'.

Sarah however, maintains that this is not the case and that she and Defence Force employee Jake had gone their separate ways.

She told the magazine: 'I was with Jake for two years, and he was really amazing, we just had different goals and dreams.'

Firm favourite: Sarah was the first girl on the show to share a single date with Sam this season

The bachelorette, whose flaxen locks have seen her compared to the series' original success story Anna Heinrich, doesn't appear on Jake's social media.

Friends of his were asking back in May whether he had a new girlfriend yet, two months after The Bachelor started filming in March this year.

Having been the first girl to go on a single date with Sam during this season of the show, Sarah has been tipped as a firm favourite to take out the winning title.

However it seems Sam was far less sure about his feelings towards Sarah during the rose ceremony on Wednesday night's episode.

Dressed to impress: The event manager opted for a sleek black ensemble for the occasion

Good times: The stunner wasn't afraid to work her best angles for the camera in front of the media wall

Sam's torment was obvious when faced with deciding whether to send two of the original girls Nina Rolleston and Sarah, or intruder Rachel Moore, home, who he'd spent very little time with.

Declaring he need a 'little minute to think' the dark-haired star of the show quickly turned on his heel and marched from the room.

His abrupt exit left the girls in turmoil as Heather asked, 'What the F is going on?', while Nina revealed, 'I feel like I'm going to vomit.'

Sarah took things to a dramatic level, saying, 'I feel like I've just been stabbed in the heart', she said as she couldn't believe Sam would choose to keep newcomer Rachel over her

Which girl will he choose? Sam's torment was obvious when faced with deciding whether to send two of the original girls Nina Rolleston and Sarah, or intruder Rachel Moore, home, who he'd spent very little time with

In the kitchen Sam was pacing up and down as he poured out his soul to Osher.

'Tonight the seriousness of it has dawned on me,' he said in the kitchen. 'It's hit me just how serious it is.'

Walking back into the room the chiseled jaw star kept the girls on tenterhooks, announcing: 'I really think tonight it has hit me just how serious it is and I'm just hoping all three of your will accept the rose.'

The lucky trio have a brief reprieve and will get another chance to secure Sam's heart on Thursday's episode.

The Bachelor continues on Thursday on Channel Ten at 7.30pm.

'Could you imagine living in Melbourne?' Sam Wood hints at a future with Lana Jeavons-Fellows as she blushingly admits The Bachelor's 'knocked her sideways'
By Laura Evans for Daily Mail Australia

It appears Sam Wood is falling hard and fast for intruder Lana Jeavons-Fellows, with the newest Bachelor star bowling him over.

Sparks flew between the pair on Wednesday night's episode as the Tasmanian man picked her for a private date, before asking the Sydney girl if she could 'imagine living in Melbourne?'

Chemistry has been crackling between the duo since they first laid eyes on each other the week before and Sam couldn't wait to have the brunette beauty all to himself.

Sealed with a kiss! The Tasmanian heartthrob gives Lana a peck on the cheek and a red rose on Wednesday night's episode

Whisking her off for a paragliding date the 35-year-old sports instructor, said, 'she seems at first glance to be the full package', adding she has that 'girl next door quality.'

Using Sam's fear of heights as an opportunity to comfortingly hold his hand, Laura Dundovic's bestie instructed him, 'don't look down, look at me - eye contact'.

Looking deep into Lana's 'unforgettable eyes' Sam's mind quickly fell on the future as he asked the well-traveled beauty, 'could you imagine living in Melbourne?' eyes = *drink*

Lana didn't miss a beat as she responded, 'I'd live anywhere.'

Continuing to set Sam's pulse racing Lana revealed she's lived in Mexico and broke into Spanish - a move that left Sam wishing he was livin' la vida loca with the stunning brunette.

The sexual chemistry continued to sizzle as Sam couldn't help but tell Lana she had 'beautiful eyes', while she blushingly admitted 'I feel like I've got feelings happening.' and yet NO liplocking kiss! *drink*

One on one: It was their first chance to have some serious alone time together and Sam made the most of it

But the best was yet to come with the romantic suitor whisking his girl Friday off to a private al fresco concert - just for two.

Lana couldn't keep the smile from her face as Sam surprised her with an intimate gig by British crooner Jamie Lawson, as well as a dinner for two. yep so intimate ... loved-up couple, singer crooning away, cameras x 2, sound guy, lighting, makeup ...enough to make you gush and really get into the moment ... truly *drink*

The singer, who is the first artist signed to Ed Sheeran's music label, performed his hit song Wasn't Expecting That as the pair slow-danced.

Taking to the sofa later, the pair couldn't resist more deep and meaningfuls with Sam opening up to Lana and telling her, 'I feel like we have personalities that are incredibly compatible.'

His words were matched by Lana's response as she said, 'I didn't expect to like you so quickly.'

It was enough to secure the latecomer a red rose and her safe passage to the next round, much to the chagrin of the other contenders back at The Bachelor mansion.
