The Bachelor Australia 2015

because up until now with Snezana he's been thinking with his second brain
now he has to start thinking REALITY ... I don't see her wanting to move from WA

To be honest I'm surprised he even asked her about potentially leaving WA. Snez aside, her child's entire life is there...

I just assumed Sam would be under the impression that if he wanted Snez there was an equal, if not greater chance of him needing to be the one to move. I really hope she questions whether he'd be willing to move to WA because his response to that will tell a lot IMO

yes but then why would she be open to even try to find love on a show like this where you can almost guarantee Bachie isn't going to be from WA ... she must think its her way or the highway in that regard ... and that is hardly fair to have that attitude
she might as well have said on first date Hi I'm Snez and unless you've moving to WA dont be bothering with me

Who knows...the last Bachelor was from Perth so she might have thought he'd be closer, or maybe she thought he wouldn't be tied down to a business, etc.

I'm not saying Snez wouldn't move but I certainly hope she questions Sam whether he would move for her as well and make that sacrifice because it's a big ask to expect a single mum to leave her family to go to the other side of the country.

Surely Snez isn't even legally permitted to move her daughter interstate? I'm not sure what her custody arrangement is but usually you can't move so far from the other parent, especially if they are doing the 50/50 thing. I agree she should ask him, I'd love to hear if Sam is open to moving.

but he has an established business to consider ... he hasn't said he wouldn't move ... but its also a big consideration

Yeah, this is what I'm getting at...I hope Snez at least tries to assess whether he'd be happy to move for her as well before giving him any indication whether she'd be open to leaving WA. Yes Sam has a buinsess but Snez also has a child with a life there. It won't be an easy sacrifice for either of them.

So far I've only seen Sam ask the girls if they'd be willing to move.

She wouldn't have known that when she auditioned, probably didn't expect to fall for him etc.
Her daughter comes first, she might be in love with Sam but he knew the deal from the start.
If he expected her to uproot her daughter and move over well...its kind of naive.

You're right, I never thought of it but its always geared more towards them fitting into his life. I guess the nature of the show - with everyone competing for Sam and the decision being his alone - lends itself to that a bit more, but for a real relationship to survive Sam needs to do his part and at least be willing to have that conversation.

douchey move to keep reassuring Heather for nothing

I think for me it's one of those reminders that entertainment aside, the concept is very messed up. Yes Sam gets all the control when making the decisions about who would be best for him...but at the end of the day when someone wins they're both going to need to make sacrifices for a relationship to work. It makes you wonder if and/or when the power dynamics in the relationship change post show. Sam Frosts' comments about how Blake called all the shots in their short relationship and then all of them in their breakup have sort of stuck with me.

Absolutely. I imagine the shift into the real world is significant, however the format of the show could definitely at least potentially set a tone over who has more "power", and how lucky the girl is to be with him etc.

In Sam's defence:

most of the reassurance to Heather occurred before Lana arrived.

I do still find it strange that they decided to air it though given they knew the result (if that's what it is). Shock value I guess.

Also douchey move from producers etc who keep sending her out for interviews which, to be honest, drum up interest in the show, if it's not going to end well for her.

To be fair, this is one guys opinion
and it was on the night of Lana's date
We'll have to see if what he says stacks up.

I can't wait to see whoever the actual winner is announced on screen. And then we get to do it all again for Bachelorette.

Pretty sure Snez has said that her father has nothing to do with her? I think it was an early episode

Standard business owner attitude.
Sydney girls are a bit of an easier deal as Sydney and Melbourne aren't that far away from each other, but ultimately whoever he chooses needs to central their live around his.
yes but a business owner cant just think of himself - he has employees to consider ... costs of moving his business ... there wouldn't be as big a market over in Perth perhaps as what he can have in Melbourne and Sydney (should he move there)

Still not convinced re Lana winning

I will hold on to hope til that very last rose!!! lol
