TBL Families

She has kept her weight off. She used to keep a blog in the 2012 series. I read on her online profile somewhere that she has gained around 4kg which is really nothing. Don't quote me exactly on this but apperntly she's dating her own personal trainer who trained her after the show finished.

Yes I read in a magazine years ago that she had a baby with him, not sure how her body fared post baby but I imagine quite well, Lara seemed like one of the few who had changed her behaviour and mindset whereas many you can tell will return back to their previous bad habits.

Omg remember Selena in 2012? She did not deserve to be on that show!

I'm friends with her on Facebook lol. I feel mean saying this but she hasn't kept any weight off at all

Oh really? Honestly that doesn't surprise me as she barely even lost any during her time on the show, I feel like at the finale she basically looked the same. She'd probably a good example of the importance of the mindset and not just turning up for training and eating well-ish.

Having the mindset to want to change? Instead of going through the motions?

Having the mindset to want to change? Instead of going through the motions?

Yeah pretty much. With any bad habit most people want to want to change but there's often a barrier to actually wanting to change and facilitating it. The science of weight loss is actually so simple but it's pretty clear that it only works in theory for so many people.

Being incentivised by good health and having a shit hot rig should be enough, but so many people still get these mental barriers.

Or emotional barriers......

Appparently there is something called emotional eating?

Yes there is. The only reason people should eat is to say alive, but of course olfactory enjoyment comes into play a lot. Emotional eating is eating to relieve or overcome bad emotions or in response to them, irrespective of your hunger levels. Pretty common I imagine.

Yes, very common. When i feel emotions i have the urge to eat unhealthy so i don't have to feel these silly emotions. Win win for everybody. Win for me because i get to eat yummy junk food win for everyone else because they don't have to put up with my emotions.

Well that's quite common. There are other ways to reissue endorphins, how about exercising?

The upcoming season of The Biggest Loser Families will see the trainers forced to consume everything their obese contestants regularly do in a week in a bid to prove just how much unhealthy eating affects their weight.

And if the newest teaser is anything to go by, it all gets very real for the show's star Michelle Bridges.

The fitness guru is forced to weigh in for the first time with the scales flickering up to 16 kilos above her original weight of 60.2 kilos in the promo.

Her turn: Michelle Bridges hits the scale for a weigh in the upcoming season of The Biggest Loser Families
While not giving away the exact amount Michelle gained, it's clear from the shocked faces looking on that it's not small number.

'They're saving me til last. I know why,' the personal trainer can be heard saying before she steps up to the scales.

'I bet I put the most weight on.'

And it doesn't appears as though Michelle had it easy at her family's dinner table, with the brunette - who is now expecting her first child with co-star Steve 'Commando' Willis - sitting down to an enormous, 2.5 kilo burrito at one point.

Do as they do: The scales hint that she's gained a lot of weight after spending a week eating what her overweight contestants do

Massive: She's clearly not impressed with her lot and at one point it presented with a 2.5 kilo burrito
'You're joking. It's like the size of a newborn child,' she exclaims as it's put before her.

But it isn't only Michelle who's put through her paces, with the Commando eating deep fried chicken washed down with a 1.5 litre lemonade for breakfast at his family's home.

Shannan Ponton meanwhile, was shocked to swallow a family sized lasagne for lunch.

While it's clear the results of the experiment shock across the board, it's nothing the fierce trainers can't face.

Each trainer coaching a family of four, they get to work whipping their contestants into shape through hard hours in the gym.

Worried: She muses, 'They're saving me til last. I know why,' in the latest teaser

Wow: While not giving away the exact amount Michelle gained, it's clear from the shocked faces looking on that it's not small number
Shannan revealed to Daily Mail Australia that filming finished earlier this month, and said he drew a bit of a short straw.

'I've got the four naughtiest, belligerent, cantankerous contestants I've ever had, not only on the show but in 24 years as a trainer,' he told DMA.

Admitting he had some of the biggest battles he's ever had with contestants, the coach wasn't too glowing of the family he worked with, saying he's not sure how producers can edit them 'to look in a beautiful light'.

Not happy: Michelle's beau and co-star Steve 'Commando' Willis says he will take aim at his contestants after he also gains weight

Unhealthy: At one point he sat down to deep fried chicken washed down with a 1.5 litre lemonade for breakfast
'The other three trainers were just looking at me every day shaking their heads going "Mate, we feel sorry for you champ",' he admitted.

'The family dynamic was bringing out the absolute worst in each other and they fed off each other and united to fight the whole thing,' the boxer added.

This season will see returning trainers Shannan, Michelle and Commando joined by newcomer Tiffany.

TBL Families will air on Network Ten later this year.

I would not be surprised if its Michelle, it was going to be one of the chicks.
Plus just from the previews Tiffany's might be !more about carbs than saturated fats like what I saw from Michelle.
Plus has Tiffany had kids? That's very important LOL

image.jpg So dissapointed it's only on for 3 days. And with the late start it will probably only go for 11 weeks. Unless of course TEN are willing to go behond the ratings period into December.

I think it's smart that it will most likely be a 11 week series, after the rating disaster of last year Ten probably don't want to commit to a long series, just in case it rates poorly.

Oh and look it starts on the 13th.... Not long now!
