I don't like it
Apparently they have discovered a new earth like planet?
I think it is far away for humankind to think about settling there. Which is a relief! Stuffing up one planet is surely enough!
Haha. Good for you!
Lol I only put my claim in last weekend. I'm just impatient.
I'm a serious under-claimer. I don't keep receipts. So the only thing I claim is a couple of charitable donations (only the ones who send me a receipt and reminder at the end of the tax year). So I doubt I will be audited. I did it on mytax this year. Very easy.
WHAT!!? You're a teacher, you should be maximising your return with all those work related deductions!

Never again

Agreed. Makes me so sad to see how this precious earth is ruined by people who don't care about the environment.
I want ANYONE dealing with me NEVERReally, you are the only one who knows the type of nurse you are and what you bring to the job. You don't strike me as a namby pamby nurse. I want a nurse when I'm a patient who knows her stuff, is open and honest, doesn't continually call me love, darl, dear, sweetie, haha, and is fun when caring for me.

(hopping off soapbox .. but mannnnn it does really annoy me!!! and I'm such a placid soul too!!!

I agree with you.I want ANYONE dealing with me NEVEREVER
EVER
to call me sweetie, darling, love, dear, hun, darl, precious (or presh!!!) - I start grinding my teeth and snarling when I hear it ... honestly they need to be afraid my head will do 360's and green stuff will start spewing out if they do it ... I'm NOT their love, their darling - I'm a complete and utter stranger to them and they're morons for overusing terms like that and making them become meaningless expressions. It's also patronising and I hate it!

I discovered only a couple of years ago that Dad calls me love. Him I will take it from without gnashing my teeth as he's Dad. It's the same with abbreviating my given name. Certain folks can get away with it though. Don't do it without finding out if I like the abbreviation. I don't. I've also noticed that a lot of nurses speak to patients as if they're stupid, especially to older patients. They do use a patronising and condescending manner and tone. UGH! On facebook I play a few games and mainly Americans I'm team mates with use hun a lot in posts. NO. Note to self - never call Crimmy babe either

Tell me about it. That should be my 2015-2016 new tax year resolution. Keep all receipts!WHAT!!? You're a teacher, you should be maximising your return with all those work related deductions!myTax is definitely a lot easier than e-tax but gets let down by myGov which is notoriously unreliable.
oh yes! about the shortening of my name ... had a school buddie try that one ... he didn't walk upright for around a weekI agree with you.

yes I got the 'hun' from a chat buddy from Montana ... "Hi Hun" and "Yes Ma'am"!! lol ... first few times I heard him saying it I have to admit my insides went all squishy ... golly gee whiz - a real cowboy!!! haha
bought my son this great little metal tin can with TAX RECEIPTS on it as part of his Christmas stocking stuffers ... recently reminded him that I hoped he was just stuffing ALL receipts in it and tax agent could sort it out for him at tax time (he lives away from home) ... "Not sure where I put it"Tell me about it. That should be my 2015-2016 new tax year resolution. Keep all receipts!

(no complaints from him will be sympathised with when he gets very little back from the taxman because I've tried!!)

I was recently on the phone to a nurse and she threw a few hun's my way which was annoying but not overly. But then - get this - she called me sweetie pie and also honey bunny. Who calls anyone honey bunny, alone in a professional capacity? Actually more funny than irritating, it sounds like she's lucky it was me on the other end of the phone and not anyone else in this thread!

For as long as I can remember I have hated my name being shortened. What is more annoying is when people who shorten it spell the abbreviation incorrectly. I am the only person I know with my name who doesn't like it being shortened. Lol, golly gee whiz. Being polite with Ma'am is lovely, until you get sick of it.oh yes! about the shortening of my name ... had a school buddie try that one ... he didn't walk upright for around a week

Some serious laughter here as while I have no idea as to your voice, I'm hearing the indignation/incredulity in 'who calls anyone honey bunny'.I was recently on the phone to a nurse and she threw a few hun's my way which was annoying but not overly. Haha yes total indignation!
what are these people on ffs??!! who DOES use these 'endearments' in ANY professional capacity and think that it is professional?I was recently on the phone to a nurse and she threw a few hun's my way which was annoying but not overly. why not save their honey bunny tootsie wootsie cutiepie upchuckingly nauseating sweetness & light for someone who'd give a rats a$$!?!?! seriously!?!?!
I'm always tempted to stop them short and say "excuse me? I am not your SWEETIE and I'm certainly not your DARLING. How about you call me BITCH and at least be a little real here!?!" lol

of course I never would (not even on a bad day) because I'm a total marshmallow

I usually wait for them to hang up before slamming my phone down and growling ... my coworkers then look at me with respect and think I'm so ballsy ... I have them soooo totally fooled

LOL, I have told several people on the phone not to keep calling me dear or love or darling. Only one apologised. Being called darl by someone younger than me really pees me off. Yes, it's very unprofessional when professionals do it. I may be the 'lowly' switchboard operator but I'm ultimately the one who can terminate your call by a simple press of a button.what are these people on ffs??!! who DOES use these 'endearments' in ANY professional capacity and think that it is professional?

Tell us how you really feel crimmy

Theoretically nurses have more leeway here due to dealing the potential need to placate and whatnot versus being formal, and possibly some patients actually appreciate it, but it almost always is received very poorly, why is it still a thing? The nurse I spoke with does deal with lots of "emotional" patients due to the clinic where she works, but in no way was I needing to be comforted or anything, it was actually a really quick query.
But anyone in generalised customer service - no way!
Maybe she has another day job as well...
Hahaha!

Ill people as inpatients and at clinics are a captive audience and their defences are down so they are fair game so to speak. However, many of them aren't fools or idiots and deserve to be spoken to in an adult, albeit softer manner, not like they're simpletons or babies.Tell us how you really feel crimmy

nothing lowly about those of us who are the front line - after all "they" have to negotiate their way PAST us and I do find the "hold" button a trifle amusing to use when I see fitLOL, I have told several people on the phone not to keep calling me dear or love or darling. "Sorry SWEETIE I had a little snag in my pinky finger's finger nail and had to spend 5 minutes filing it before I could check if you were still happy to hold ... and whoopsies ... the person you were waiting for just left the building and won't be back in until next Tuesday afternoon. Can I take a message - oh! incoming call! Please HOLD"
should I add an evil "muhahahahahahaha!!!" here
