So sorry for you and your Lucy, Rudiger, that is terrible news. She is lucky to have you.Sorry, but I'm not tech savvy enough to know how to post a photo
Got some bad news from the vet today, and this seems the ideal place to vent. Probably best to skip this post...
My dog is a little 9 year old black Maltese Shih Tzu called Lucy. She is 90% angel and 10% hardcore fucking bitch. Born 2006.
2009 Her cruciate ligament goes. $1000
2010 Her other cruciate goes. $1000.
2011 Diagnosed with arthritis.
2013 Spinal Meningitis, in excruciating pain $2000
2014 Diagnosed with diabetes. Insulin injections every day, and each time she tries to bite my arm off. $1000
Today I was told that she has cataracts, as a result of the diabetes, and her vision is almost gone. It seemed to happen overnight.
I don't know if can handle any more. I very rarely cry, but damn...
I love her more than any other living thing on planet though.
Wow, that was incredibly cathartic.
Hahaha a dog that throws and fetches! Very cute Beardy.I posted a photo of my cat a few pages back
Now meet her best friend, Buddy the rescue dog!
He's been with us for seven years, so we're guessing he'd be at least eight years old. He's a very sweet-natured dog. He'll put his paws up on strangers, but he knows to be very, very gentle when it's a young kid or an older person.
I got this photo of him when he was playing with his ball. He'll throw it for himself, then go and chase it down.
Kimi has always been rough with him, ever since she was a kitten, when she'd wrap her front paws around his back legs and nip his thighs. He's never growled or snapped at her. Just an all-round well-natured dog.
Beautiful Beba! That's interesting about them not liking change, I'll remember that when I need to introduce new things. She is gorgeous - looks like she has attitude! Hope your body starts behaving itselfHey @Willoughby sorry it's taken me some time, my body is kicking my arse. Anyway I just took a pic of my kitty on our new rug but I can't upload it, it keeps saying file too big, it's on my iPad- ugh. Since we moved house she has become a different cat, we once bought rug at our old apartment and she wouldn't walk on it for 6 months. (Russian Blues don't like change) now we got this rug today and she was on it straight away. I think she has a new found courage since we moved and realised that she's safe and things are so scary.
Here's a photo of my Beba telling me who's boss.View attachment 44784
Good luck Lindsay.off to the vet, poor Willow has diarrhoea and vomiting, they dont open till 3:30 so she has to wait till then.Very expensive vet week..Bailey and Suki went for their neuter and spay operations on tuesday

Hahahaha, just showed Bo your Beba on the screen. He loves to look at himself in the mirror and loves TV but had not tried showing him anything on the computer. He rubbed his face on my iPad and purred. He is a flirt!
What's your cat's name @mcfurrball ?See the glorious cloud that is my picture
Oh so cute, you're the best cat parent, we show our cat everything too. It's so funny, she's 7 years old and nearly everything she does we are still amazed over and we will press pause to watch her do something. I love that Bo follows Mr W into the yard, does he get along with your other cat? Hold on do you have another cat or am I confused?!?!Hahahaha, just showed Bo your Beba on the screen. We have another cat, a rescue from 2001. She is a tabby whose real name is long forgotten, she is just Piglet because of her eating habits! She is a nice old thing, very affectionate with my son who was the one who begged to have her. His teacher had a houseful of rescued cats and put out a call at school for anyone who could to take a pet. She is a tabby and very sweet natured. It's warm here tonight and she and Bo are playing hide and seek in the garden, they won't come in so I'm trying to coax them so I can go to bed! Just like naughty kids. Mr W loves them but doesn't let on too much. I often catch him giving them a tickle or topping up their food, but he teases me about being crazy cat lady!Oh so cute, you're the best cat parent, we show our cat everything too. Haha, good luck catching them at night! Wow around 13yrs old, sounds like Piglet has a new lease on life with a kitten to keep him active. That's lucky they get along.
