TraLa, darling, as someone with no horse in this race and who hasn't had a proper PM-back-and-forth with anyone here since 2008, I must admit it's slightly comical seeing you get worked up about these group PMs. Were you or were you not laughing just a few months ago about how you and some other "old school" members here PM each other making fun of other posters? So it's cool for you and your mates to behave like that, but when others do it they're losers with no lives? Okay ;)
Des, darling. You missed my point.

I have no problem with private PM's. Personally, I love the feature.

It only becomes a problem when too many people get added to the conversation, and it gets back to the person who is being group sledged.

Example:-

Good:-- Me sending a private PM with the title DES! Discussing what a self righteous fuckhead you are, and you never knowing, is a good PM scenerio. I got to sound off, vent and you remain blissfully unaware. Because as people, sometimes we just want the opportunity to privatley sound off and vent.

Bad:- Me sending a PM with the title DES! Then linking 4 or 5 other members to the convo discussing what a self righteous fuckhead you are, then a couple of members cut and paste that PM and send it to you is a bad PM scenerio. Because while as people, we sometimes just want the opportunity to sound off, if the group PM's get back to the person via a few different sources, it of course fucks the person you are bitching about off. Because they have gone from being blissfully unaware to aware. While it is common knowledge many think that I am a cunt, it still hurts my feelings when I read that in a group scenerio.

I have no issue with private PM's. It is only when they are made public to the person who is getting sledged the clear calm blissfully unaware waters become muddied.

Oh my God!

M I C H A E L !

M I C H A E L!!!!!!!

I spent $4 trying to save you! I absolutely loved watching you in the house, but that is enough fan dribbling...

Just to give you perspective, the horrible internet people you speak of, that post among us in here, are so low in Vit D due to no natural sunlight they need bone protectors to safely type without chipping finger bones... and don't even get me started on their sleep patterns!! They are covered in Cheezel dust, thrive on stalking and criticising ex BB housemates and they don't even know the real names of the people they post with day in day out 24/7! Their "like" count from people they will never meet dictate their worth. And these are the people you are allowing to affect you?!

Who cares what they say? They are weird little indoor stalkers, whose only contact with the outside world is their computer screen! Put the upset and the anger you feel for what was done to you and your ex girlfriends in a bubble and blow it away, because 100%, what these fuckheads think matters not.

This place has some really funny, creative, clever, kind, and good people in it and the spiteful trolls you have experienced is by far the minority poster in here. I am sorry your experience here has not demonstrated that.

My advice, not that you asked. Never argue with people you don't know over bullshit that doesn't matter. Your best revenge is to live, laugh, love and get just enough sunlight and sleep to keep a ranga healthy.

Now one, two, three - back to me. Do you have a webcam?!

Hahahaha this is an excellent representation of a no-doubt brilliant forum frequented by wonderful people. $4 is way too much to spend on anyone, let alone a sweaty stranger, but thank you kindly! I do have a webcam I believe.

I'm really disappointed that so many nasty things have been said about bb housemates on here, especially when people know said HM is active in that particular forum. Reality shows are a way for television networks to film tv series without having to pay for actors. Unfortunately for the hMs they are not playing characters, they are playing themselves, therefore the hate stigma stays with them even after they finish filming. We should be grateful that housemates give up their lives for months at a time for very little pay and basically no prizes in the name of giving us entertaimment. @embee thanks for your contribution to bbau and good luck with your future endevours!
thanks Harry, was good meeting you that one time back in Brisbane I think! Hope the singing is going well!

@Trala must really like you @embee. When she welcomed other housemates and told them how much she spent, she asked to be reimbursed. Not you.

The drama on these boards during BB season is better than the drama on the show and i get to view it at my leisure.

Does anyone here recall or were they around in 2005 I think and there was in my reckoning the most infamous thread of all time. It was titled - Greg and Christie Awwwwwww.

Not sure whether it was here or on the official BB Board but that thing was the greatest free entertainment ever. Pardon my language but it was a total shitfight that included two "ladies" on the thread meeting at an RSL Club where Christie was doing an appearance. The two woman got into a brawl in the club with each other.

It truly was the funniest (saddest) thing I have seen on the internet.

Hopefully some old timers are around and remember it.

I remember the thread title, but avoided reading it. Those two held little interest for me - hilarious that it flowed over into real life!

The last few pages in this thread reminds me of some of the funny shit fight of yesteryear.
Don't recall the one you've mentioned though, that's news to me.

Do you even have your PMs turned on? I've actually tried PM'ing you before about something not BB or forum related - and just tried again now - and it said I can't.
I do actually. Mainly because on other forums I frequent I get PMs from mods threatening to ban me too often for my liking.

But when I saw that this forum software had a disable feature I said to myself 'you beauty, I'm never gonna get banned from this joint no matter how much I misbehave!'.

I presume that I'd get banned irrespective of whether one of the admins can send me a PM but I thought it was worth a try. :)

Hah, I'm pretty sure admins can just turn on your PM settings if they want.

I know that with this forum software the default setting for the Administrators group allows them to read your PMs. And they can apply that right to other user groups as well.

‘I nearly didn’t make it in the house’

Lisa_L.jpg

Ousted Big Brother housemate Lisa Clark has opened up about how a former friend almost ruined her chances of making it onto the show.

The 29-year-old blonde’s name hit headlines weeks before housemates went into lockdown and the cast was finalised.

A source had leaked Lisa’s casting to a Sydney newspaper.

“I wasn’t sure if I was going in or not,” Lisa admits.

“I was devastated when it got leaked.

“The producers had sent me a link to the article and obviously in the article it said I wasn’t going in so that was hard especially because I had quit my job and stuff already.”

While Lisa didn’t name the culprit, judging by her social media rants, the friend who leaked the information was Sydney party girl Jaime Wright (pictured, below left).

“I do know who it was and I think they’ve been making some noise since I was in there,” Lisa explains.

“When you’re godmother to their son it’s pretty heavy.”

Jamie, a model turned shoe designer, took to Twitter to show her distaste for Big Brother on launch night.

She Tweeted: “Just a bunch of wannabe try hard fame whores to me! What a brain numbing show BORING !!”

According to Lisa her fallout with the former friend in question had an impact on her time in the house.

“I had ended the friendship,” she says.

“When you’ve been friends with someone that long and that close it’s almost like a little bit of a grieving thing so I went in even more guarded because I’d been a little bit damaged.

“Maybe that did affect my time in there.”

Another realisation for Lisa while in the house was that she is keen to reconcile with her ex-boyfriend.

bigbroembed.jpg

After stating in the house that she still loved him but flirting with fellow housemate Jake Richardson, Lisa was unsure how her ex would react.

“We spoke last night which was good,” she reveals.

“I didn’t know how the Jake thing would play out but I’m lucky that he knows me so well.

“I kind of realised before I went in how serious it was and how much I missed him before I went in even though it had been a year.

“I’d say that’s probably going to go ahead and probably quite quickly.”

yeah we saw those couple of articles about it being leaked about Lisa going into the house, and that her friend wasn't happy with her...
I guess this ex must be the Jewish guy she was talking about who didn't like her dog because another ex gave it to her but she still loved him? I wonder if he's well known on SM, or the underworld:D?

New blog post! This one is about 'The Girl Code'!!! Check it out at http://mikkaylamossop.tumblr.com/ xx

The Girl Code
Sunday, 05 October 2014
So everyone who hasn’t been living under a rock will have heard of the term ‘Bro Code’. Whenever I hear it, my mind immediately jumps to the TV series ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and the hilarious character of Barney Stinson who lives his life adhering to the stringent rules of the Bro Code. The underlying theme of the Bro Code, despite the multiplicity of it’s ‘laws’ and the different topics it covers mainly abides by the expression ‘bros before hoes’; men should never abandon their male friends in order to pursue or embark on relationships with women.

Which brings me to the point of today’s post: The Girl Code. Whilst the premise remains similar to that of the Bro Code i.e. don’t screw a friend over for a potential significant other, the rules seem more grey-scaled than the bro code’s black and white, yes and no guidelines. Within every situation or circumstance, there always seems to be an exception to the rule

tumblr_inline_ncuhm2PceV1sxalso.jpg

I’ve come up with what I feel are the top 10 laws of The Girl Code:

1. If questioned seriously, a girl should always give their honest opinion on a friend’s outfit.

tumblr_inline_ncuholHt2T1sxalso.jpg

UNLESS the friend shows obvious signs of wanting you to tell her how amazing she looks; has spent an exuberant amount of money on said outfit; or is already out and it’s too late for her to change.

Potential traps could be worded similarly to the following lines:

- “What do you think? Be honest.”

- “Honestly, tell me if it doesn’t look good.”

- “I only spent a weeks wage on it, but if it doesn’t look good, let me know…”

tumblr_inline_ncw57j6Bbx1sxalso.jpg

2. A girl will never hook up with, sleep with or date another friend’s ex/one-night stand/crush

EXCEPT if the friend has been happily married for a significant period of time and if the said relationship was longer than 10+ years ago, or if the friend is the one to hook a sister up with said ex-partner

tumblr_inline_ncuhjzlzHZ1sxalso.gif

3. Chicks before dicks*

*See also: Ovaries over brovaries; uteruses before duderuses; hoes before bros; breasticles before testicles; queens before peens; hooters before suitors; besties before testies; vaginal walls before hairy balls; bellas before fellas.

UNLESS the man attached to the penis is one the girl has been crushing on for a long time (over 6 months) and the friends out with her have a safe way home/aren’t relying on the girl for a place to sleep. It must be noted that the designated driver should NEVER abandon her friends for a guy, no matter what the situation!

tumblr_inline_ncuhtqnuKj1sxalso.jpg

4. A girl should always support another friend’s attempts at dieting.

(They should also be understanding and supportive whenever said diet is broken).

If a girl is on a diet but wants to order wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce for lunch… THEN SO BE IT!!!! A chick should also never make a friend feel bad or guilty for any food choices, be they good or bad!

tumblr_inline_ncuhvk48AO1sxalso.jpg

5. A girl will always been on call to provide emotional support.

Even if not physically available, Girl Code dictates that one must be contactable at all times via phone, Skype, Facetime, etc. and able to spend as much time as necessary raking over every single, tiny detail of the situation.

If within distance, Girl Code requires the provision of wine, cocktails, ice-cream, chocolate, Ryan Gosling/Channing Tatum movie marathons, no matter how much the friend in need weekly protests that “I’m fine, really, don’t worry about me!”

tumblr_inline_ncuhyisVGm1sxalso.jpg

6. A girl will always remember important days, dates, events, times, figures and moments

And a GREAT friend will also apply this to a girl’s partner, immediate family and any pets.

Including but not limited to: Birthdays; celebrated religious holidays; anniversaries; occasions of mourning; annual, bi-annual and quarterly social events; when their last haircut/colour/wax appointment/manicure/pedicure was; the time they saw that bitch that gave her the stink-eye; how long they’ve successfully maintained their diet.

tumblr_inline_ncw5a00QWv1sxalso.gif

7. A girl will always leap to the defence of her friends, regardless of whether they’re present or not.

This can include overhearing someone bitching about her behind her back, a physical throw-down on the dance floor or even nasty comments made on social media. Make sure you always have your girl’s back, no matter whom it is that you’re defending her against.

tumblr_inline_nczklk9h3j1sxalso.gif

8. A girl will never use disgusting derogatory terms in a hurtful way towards fellow girls.

We hear it enough from men. Don’t perpetuate the idea that it’s okay to call each other such awful names.

tumblr_inline_nczk2auAvp1sxalso.gif

9. If a girl hates someone, her friend will also immediately without question hate the same person.

Even if they have never met.

UNLESS the hated person in question is her friend’s partner; in which case the opinion must be kept to oneself until the day comes that they break up, after which you may feel free to go to town on his ass*.

*Figuratively. Also if they happen to get back together, get ready to retract every negative statement made about him.

Which brings us to the last one…

tumblr_inline_ncw5bqlbew1sxalso.gif

10. A girl will always support her friend in relationships, even if you secretly don’t approve.

All that matters is that your friend has your support, love and shoulder to cry on. There will be no ‘I told you so’ if it doesn’t work out [see Girl Code rule #5] and no matter how many times your friend may make up and break up with the same guy, your loyalty will not waver and you will continue being a wonderful, supportive friend.

UNLESS the situation involves physical violence or emotional/mental abuse; in that case, you MUST seek help for your friend and intervene as soon as possible.

tumblr_inline_ncwe6p8CwK1sxalso.jpg

What other laws can you think of that should be added to The Girl Code?
