David Appreciation Thread

I guess we don't know Davids true feelings or full knowledge of Cats crush on Lawson but I think part of the reason why David was defending Lawson against Lisa's cheating allegation was because he sees Lawson (and Sam) as his friends, although not close buddies.
When they were at the BBQ maybe Lawson has lead David to believe he wouldn't do anything with Cat, if she chose him to go into the SS...

It was nice of David to try clear the air with Lisa and not go to bed upset, plus realised it was just a heated argument and they should do their best to get along in the house. It won't stop Lisa being mean girl though
 
Up until now, I've been pretty ambivalent about David, not felt anything either way, but after watching last night's episode I am 100% Team David! It breaks my heart that even in this house full of supposed adults you can't escape that childish attitude and actions of others. I'm rewatching it now and it's unbearable, seeing him standing back and being basically ignored while he talks. Ugh I can't stand this. :frown:

I thought he dealt with it all very well, and it was big of him to make up with Lisa even though I personally don't think he was in the wrong. Love you David! <3

Think I might have to cast my first votes of the year!

I am the same. Thanks for your comment. It sums up my opinion as well. David & Skye to the end!! Skye has always been my favourite and David I was neither here nor there but after watching the fights with Lisa, she is so horrible to him. He's completely misunderstood and Lisa is just a big bully and a mean bitch!

*blushes* :shamefully: True, I'm biased against pretty much every dipshit in that house that isn't named David, Skye, Leo and Priya. The rest are a toxic wasteland of oxygen thieves. :stop:

Just like my sister I have shed a load of tears after watching today's episode. While waiting for the episode on YouTube I read the article about Skye and David and I was heartbroken to think my brother was being ignored by everyone. I know they all hate him but I really thought they couldn't stoop as low as to totally ignore him and while I have never been a Skye fan I truly (from the bottom of my heart) thank her for talking to David and for genuinely being upset when David told her she was the first person to speak to her.
Here's hoping he gets saved this week, I would love nothing more than him to have the most saves tonight and I know he would feel that love and it would give him the boost he needs to face the next few weeks ahead. It would def also be a massive middle finger to the rest of the HMs and I reckon we would see a chance in how the interact with him.

OMG don't know I if could cope watching family in there, you are brave, and it must sting.

David is the only real HM, with a bunch of utter fakes - and Skye.

I think these HMs are so completely fake David's realness is threatening, it pokes holes in the bullshit.

I really want him and Skye to be the final 2 now. Hope he can organise an alliance with her, pick up Jason, Priya, new guy.

Skye & David will get the most saves, and the show should take a new direction....hopefully.

Did you notice, only David and Priya gave completely satisfactory responses to the can you be friends with the opposite sex question.

That makes me consider them to be the only HMs who let their heads rule their lives, my kind of people.
I detest - I let my heart rule, fools.
To me that is the same thing as saying I am an animal.

The worst answer came from predatory Cat, every man is hers for the taking.
 
Okay, I think I've definitely found my favourite housemate now in this season, David! I really like how he stays true to himself and took the brunt of the negative criticism without making a big deal in front of everyone. I could imagine several housemates who would have probably broken down, if they were in his shoes, and cause a ruckus which would've made for 'unwanted' airtime. I also admired his resolve to patch up arguments by directly talking to the person (Lisa) not long after it happened. Hope he goes far. #tookmelongenough

He said a few comments that were not well thought, but he seems nice enough. I fell sorry for him, when he was talking to Skye. I don't think he deserves nasty comments. People tend to forget that HMs are just like us, human

For some reason he makes me feel like he didn't have a smooth cruise through high school.
Great guy but lacks confidence for sure.
Really like him. I felt even worse when doucheson and sam were saying girls on the outside liked him and thought he was the hottest guy in there to mess with him.
Felt sorry for him.

I wonder if his good friend of 15 yrs is Lisa, the one who commented in an article about David a few weeks back
I wonder if she will be going to an eviction show at some stage

Yes the friend he referred to was his good friend Lisa who was quoted in the article a few weeks back. She has been with David on his BB journey since the very first audition and is def like his 3rd sister!
Hopefully Lisa will get to an eviction show however tonight it's our dad's turn. Although saying that I hope David gets enough saves that the HMs stop wasting their noms on him and target others and we get a few weeks rest!

Where abouts do you live overseas? Has David been over to visit you?

I live overseas too so I get to see all the twitter and Facebook comments first before I see it myself. I was in tears reading the article about him and Skye and still cried when I watched it. So sad to not see him the life and soul of the party!
Here's hoping for a massive save tonight!

I think Lisa really rattled his cage with her 'Boom' *in your face* comment.
I'm soooooo immensely proud that he stood his ground but it was obvious that it brought out some pent up emotion. I've only ever seen this side of David a few times and it's been over stuff that really hurt him.
When he apologised to Lisa he showed he's such a bigger person then I ever thought he was capable of being. I love my brother but tonight I have a new found appreciation and love for him.

It's my birthday tomorrow and it would be the best present ever if we could #savedave

Happy birthday to you.I hate the way they exclude David and kudo's to Skye for talking to him and making a effort.
