So it's a trend -Estelle drops in -

It's weird seeing how few housemates stay friends outside the house (last year's seems a good example with Jade saying Tim is the only one to have stuck by her) and then you see this year's housemates all repeating that same group mentality - acting like the best of friends.

I find myself sitting there watching it knowing so few of them will be friends in the outside world so the bonds they have are actually fake. Which makes their alienation of other people more frustrating as they're not going to stay in touch much with the ones IN their group anyway - so how hard is it to extend that fake nice to the outsiders instead of ganging up on them?

I guess that's the format though, the format is built around having 2 people to nominate each week so if someone doesn't fit in it makes it easier for the majority. In some cases they don't WANT the outsider to be given a break as having outsiders makes noms so much easier so they keep them on the outs even if they're not doing anything wrong.

Estelle was a brilliant case of that, none of the people who ganged up on her have been able to come up with reasonable reasons as to why she was such a bad person. Her having a few personalities seems to be wheeled out time and time again but hey - who doesn't have a few personalities? I have about three!

The intensity of being confined in the house under the cameras must make people feel very close for a time and probably makes it seem longer than just a few months as well.

Big Brother is a game and naturally people will vote to keep themselves off the block and that means voting for someone else who is more likely to go up so they themselves are more safe.

What happens in the house though is that emotions/prejudices infiltrate the game and can turn it personal and bad. But it doesn't have to turn nasty. Being confined in a house with people who are very different can make the smallest thing seem important, but HMs should try and temper that with some tolerance and objectivity.

I think the audience vote is meant as a balance to those in the house who might lose sight of the bigger picture because they can become lost with the emotions and the psychological influences in the house . Without live feed now though the audience are subject to the manipulations of the editors more than ever, if you can't see much of what happens in there it's difficult to judge. And the audience end up being manipulated more by Big Brother than the HMs themselves. Big Brother should be about naturally developing stories being fully shown rather than fake ones (like showmances) being pushed and taking over the HLs.

Very wise words!!!!!

For those that care ( which I am flattered if you still actually do) I've just started a secondary Instagram www.instagram.com/modern.gypsy to document my daily life and things I am grateful for...

Hey Estelle :) I saw you wrote in another thread that you weren't even allowd to hum commercial music in the house. That would kill me! What are some other rules in the house that you found difficult and the punishments for breaking them? I'm so curious

Music was single the hardest for me, hence why I became so emotional when I got to listen to the Eminem song.

I would say, not being able to speak about nominations, especially in the first week.. As I was sure the guys and I were getting along awesome and wanted to know that the bond I had with them was exactly that way still.....

Thanks for the reply! That would be really hard... Is it weird nominating someone and then seeing them/talking to them afterwards? I know its the game, but I would feel like a back stabber almost.

Just wondering, what was the Eminem song you listened to?

Estelle I have a legitimate question to ask you. I actually have several but they all relate to the one topic, the 2012 auditions!

Who did you audition with that ended up in the house with you? And who did you audition with that ended up making it into the house last year/this year(If there are any).

Did you go into the auditions with a game plan or were you just yourself? I remember reading an article where Alex M said that you were so smart and interesting that he had made up his mind that you were going in after 5 minutes of chatting to you. What was that chat with Alex like? Was it obvious that he really liked you and were you confident that you were going to be selected?

Thanks Estelle :)[DOUBLEPOST=1411624545][/DOUBLEPOST]Double Post...

Estelle.
I found you a fascinating housemate & by the end of the series really hoped you'd win.
You should be proud of your time on B.B.
Just wanted to ask, did you ever buy the horse that you were after ? :-)
Sorry. can't recall his name..

Hey Stella. Hope you are well.

One thing that I didn't really understand about the latter weeks of your series (when there were 7 HMs left) was the dynamic/group between you, Sam and Layla.

It was presented as though you were in some type of group, because you and Layla both had mutual ties to Sam. But it also seemed like Layla didn't like you or you and Sam being close.

What was really going on there?

I love the fact that Stac never got the attention she expected after B.B.
No comedy show. No Logie. Methink she wasn't quite as hilarious as she thought she was !!

She got a full time job hosting her own breakfast radio show...I'm quite sure. Not going to look it up. Michael got the same gig but in a less favourable city.

Wasn't it a situation where Sam and Layla stuck by Estelle while everyone else continued to slate her yet Layla was actually quite two faced and sat on the fence. She would act one way with her Sam and Estelle alliance then join in with the slagging Estelle off while with Ben, Michael etc.

I care, but I don't care too much that I would care if I cared.

Ow geez my tiny brain hurts

Anyway I can't resist but to pop in and say I LOVE YOU ESTELLE LANDY!! I joined this forum because of you and although you've dented my wallet quite a bit back in '12, I would totally do it again and more
