Diary Room Chair (and location of Diary room)

Okay is it just me, or does the wings coming off in the background of the diary room chair, remind you of Tim's "eviction/lucky jacket" from last year? Every time I see that Diary Room chair I think of Tim's jacket!

Now, location of the Diary Room... up all those stairs... really? Who else can see a few drunken 'falls' either up them or down them? I can. I can also see some people thinking it would be fun to have a late night 'slide' (again drunken probably) down them lol.

I reckon the design of it all is dangerous lol. I can see twisted ankles in the future!

Apparently the DR chair is modeled off a BBUK chair.

Lol. Stairs are almost everywhere you go. It's just new to the BB house. I'm sure they will be fine.
 
The year they decide to build stairs, they get a person with one leg...

I don't think having an upstairs area is of any worth to the house. I'd much rather removing the dressing room and using that space for the diary room.

Although, I would love to see people fall down them c:

I really liked the idea of there being something "upstairs", but now that I know it's just the diary room, I'm kind of meh.

It doesn't really add any new dimension to the show at all, and honestly, the view of the room just doesn't have the same cozy and wow factor.
 
I think the Diary Room is too big and bright, I prefer a DR to be small and dark, so it feel more private and like a confessional. Perhaps the background should have been storm clouds to fit this years silly theme?
 
Well they better hide any cardboard or those serving/eating trays from the HM's. Like I said, I can see some drunken escapades on those stairs in the near future. Kinda like going down a slippery slide and everyone lining up with their cardboard waiting for their turn to slide down!

While I'm thinking of it, why have they modeled the chair from the BBUK one? Can't they think of their own design for it?? Hmm might have to throw the Block couples a 'challenge' to build a 'unique Aussie made' chair for the house! (bahahaha, channel 9 do love a cross promotion)!!

I like it, though I don't know where the dressing room is located TBH. In earlier years you could grasp the floor plan so easily, now it's just so hard.

It's just hard because it's a bit different. The house plans have been fairly predictable based on previous years in the past. Give it a couple of weeks and I am sure you will get a better sense for the layout.

At a guess, it must be near last years Diary Room, as that way it can split off to one bedroom which I'm guessing is in the spot of the 2012 bedroom, and the other where the 2013 safe bedroom was - while also leading to the bathroom.
 
It looks ludicrous to me. Maybe I'm just not used to flying chairs. The wings explain how it got up the stairs though.

I didn't know the DR was the only thing upstairs. Wasn't the sauna up there too? I'm a bit lost considering how jumpy the tour of the house was on launch night.

Sauna is next to the bathroom I believe
 
While we are here, does anyone know if the nominations chamber is still around? if not, what has replaced it?

Yeah I know, too bad there's no live feeds :dead: I gathered from re-watching it, it splits into 2 bedrooms (blue and red).

The Diaryroom I like, the whole house I like tbh.
