Diary Room Chair (and location of Diary room)

I suspect (and hope) that the Block judges walk through the house will be shown in next Monday's live show... hopefully that will help us get a better feel for the house layout.

Yeah, when the new arrivals had their "how are you fitting in?" interviews they looked like they also collected their luggage at the same time, presumably having to lug it down the stairs.

Also, the manner in which things are introduced to the house will probably change. For instance in past years there have been clothing racks on wheels with costumes for HM dress-up tasks, or reward banquets left in the diary room for transfer to the house. Kind of difficult to negotiate those sort of items down a flight of stairs.
 
I gotta say... I don't like the chair. I find it kinda tacky.

I also had liked the idea of an upstairs... But it only appears to be the dairy room up there. Seems like a pointless waste.
 
Going off of the whole 'noah's ark' theme and the wings on the chair.... They're saying going upstairs is like going to heaven and BB is God? Thats probably why its the only thing upstairs
 
I feel as though the Diary Room Chair and Diary Rooms location is perfectly fitting. As @lavenderbliss says, it fits the theme. However I do agree that the lighting just isn't right. It seems too bright and too heavenly lit removing the sense of comfort, seclusion and privacy which really is the whole point of the Diary Room. Maybe it's just change and we just have to adapt? :)
 
I'm gonna have to watch the diary room scenes again to notice its resemblance to Tim's jacket - This was never in my mind.

About the diary room, what I noticed, since it's upstairs less people are going there? I mean, hardly we're having housemates going up there speaking with BB. Maybe it's the editing I guess...I don't know...

I still yet haven't seen Jake and David in the diary room (correct me if I'm wrong).

I could be wrong, but I think it's a rule that they have to visit the Diary Room once every (some amount of time, day or something). So it could just be the editing.
 
I am not sure if I love or hate the diary room design.

I feel the chair is a bit small compared to past ones. I like how more housemates were able to sit on previous chairs while talking to BB. I do love the winged design in the background, but have noticed that the gold foil looks kind of bubbly and roughly done. It could just be the effect it's meant to have. It still catches my eye every time I see it though.

Pretty sure (for whoever it was that asked) that they have got rid of the nominations chamber. Think it was in Q &A w Alex?

That's where they used to do them. Plus that's where they did some of them last year as well. Or maybe they will do some of them in the living area in front of each other. Ooooooooh!
 
The whole look of the Diary Room Chair with its wings reminds me of ascending. Putting wings on the chair just makes me think of rising up. The steep stairs add to that effect as well.
 
Well kinda ironic they chose the BBUK 11 chair cause that was the year they got stuck with Aussie John James ( who was a right twit). They have often modeled the chair after uk one.
