http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2014/08/d...t-know-anything-about-how-the-internet-works/

So we are now getting Data Retention. The government monitoring everything you do online.

The interesting thing is that Brandis doesn't seem to know what it does. He doesn't seem to know how the internet works.

Of course lying and misleading is the standard operating procedure for this government. So he could have been trying to bullshit and got caught out. I am willing to believe he is just ignorant to the realities. Which bring up some more worrying issues.

If the government doesn't know what these proposed laws will do. If Brandis claims to be sure of what they won't do. How come when they find out their understanding is wrong. That the law does something they were defending the law with, saying it doesn't do it. How come they can turn around in a few hours and go, 'oh yeah it does do that.' Surely that shows a major disconnect between their understanding of the law and what it does. If they wrote the law, then it'd go back to the drawing board. Not just accept a major and dramatic mistake and push forward.

Clearly they have no idea about what they are wanting to implement the scheme and they don't care what it does. Which shows they are not in charge. Where did these Laws come from? Where is any scrutiny from the government?

If the intelligent community wants these laws, if America is telling them, then isn't it the governments job to assess what they want? To understand it, before making any decision. That's the job of an elected government. To represent the people. Not to just pass any law given to them.

and from here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...azidi-Become-Muslims-noon-today-kill-you.html

"Crucified by the Caliphate monsters: Iraq descends into apocalypse as Islamic State fanatics seize towns and tell terrified Yazidi 'Become Muslims by noon today... or we kill all of you'"

Don't worry though, for no such fanatics exist in Oz or anywhere else in "the West" and they would never desire such a thing to happen in/to Oz or "The West" even if they did anyway ...

from here: http://www.catholic.org/news/international/middle_east/story.php?id=56481

be warned, VERY graphic images at that link, including that of a woman stripped bare and having her throat cut and blood drained into a bowl, crucifixions, and headless children.

whoisnext.jpg

"Islamic State terrorists have begun their promised killing of Christians in Mosul, and they have started with the children. According to a report via CNN, a Chaldean-American businessman has said that killings have started in Mosul and children's heads are being erected on poles in a city park."

...

"
The terrorists who have invaded Mosul and other ancient Christian communities in Syria and Iraq have made music videos of themselves murdering civilians and captured soldiers. They are literally enjoying the act of killing and the fear and suffering experienced by others. This sadism may be the purest manifestation of evil witnessed since the Rape of Nanking during WWII.

Already, several images have emerged of Christian children beheaded by ISIS, merely for being Christian.

According to Arabo, women are being raped, then murdered, and men are being hanged. These are the people who were warned - convert to Islam of be put to the sword."

It's barbaric- I'm so disgusted, saddened, enraged with hate! I can't even think of the feelings I have towards this. Those images of those children- I cried at the monstrous inhumane torture. This needs to stop

Have they bred something other than humans in all of these beyond cruel places?
Surely, it can't be humans?
That is so far from human, I just can't recognise, WTF.....that is just pure evil.

What the hell is happening, feel like I might vomit.....babies, beheading babies, what???What are you?

OK, so the world has gone insane, time for a proper United Nations, with an enormous vigilant army to patrol the earth and kill evil.

Spoken like a religious extremist hiding behind a "cause" to justify murder. Thankfully we don't have this "proper" UN you dream of.

I personally believe that peace can only be achieved when humanity has reached a level of mutual understanding, respect and tolerance of each other and our individual beliefs. Sadly as long as my arsehole points to the ground, this will never happen. If you need proof just watch Uncle Bernie's reaction to the news that I chose to have an abortion at 19...

Comments like yours suggesting the answer to a better world is creating this enormous vigilant army that kills who you decide is evil makes you part of the problem, not part of any peaceful solution. Peace will never be achieved through violence.

As a side note, I feel heartbroken at the level of senseless violence and murder we are seeing in Iraq at the moment.

thanks for fixing my link, i must have deleted the wrong one

well, going from a young boy holding an adult's decapitated head, as if that wasn't enough, and then i read your latest find :jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop: i am speechless, with sadness, rage, disbelief

these are some of the worst images i have ever ever seen. for the worst reason i have ever ever heard, but this is the most horrified i have ever ever been. beyond imagining that scene of the dad with his little daughter, is it real? yes, unimaginable, yes, not an answer that is easy to grasp

hell in one photo, worse, i picture hell with adults not children, but there they are living amongst it, in it, and some playing a part of it. after i watched that hour long video you had posted before, truly, thought i had seen a glimpse of the worst of the worst, and as i said it was like a game, surreal. this is instant shock

I'm still hoping to discover that the photos are fake, especially the throat cut / blood draining into bucket one and the child sitting in puddle of blood looking at rifles one..

Nearest I've seen thus far is this: http://thegospelcoalition.org/article/factchecker-is-isis-beheading-children-in-iraq

Doesn't suggest they are fake unfortunately but rather suggests that some of them are not directly attributable to the ISIS.

sigh. don't want to look into it any more. already enough crap visuals in my head.

I don't think I handle seeing anymore of these images, last night I dreamt of one of my boys heads on these images, I woke up frightened and anxious and full of panic. It's so sad.

there is a point in there, why is it not reported elsewhere, and the date and place is now in question. the throat cut is quite clean, maybe too clean, but graphic images whether true or fake, and the message of them overides the answer

Thankfully you have a choice. It is completely up to you whether you click the link. I mean it is not like Derspatz told you it was a Disney link and when you clicked it there was murder and mayhem.

When someone in a forum gives you a blow by blow description of what the link contains, then gives you a further written warning that they are brutal horrific images and still you choose to click that link for your own gratuitous curiosity, just to see the horror and blood run with your own eyes, then complain later that after waking in your safe warm bed that you felt frightened and anxious when reflecting on what you downloaded, well I don't have much sympathy.

Rather than make it about you, and your bad dream, maybe focus your attention on the people who are actually being brutalised and try to be part of some sort of solution by donating money for aide.

I won't look. I can't. I just can't.

I completely agree.

Why after such a descriptive narrative of what happened would any normal person need to see a picture just to feed your outrage?

Makes you wonder what is happening to us, that when reading a story of a child in a war torn country sitting in a pool of blood, or a child holding a decapitated head, we would choose to click a link so we can see the illustrations.

I blame the interweb. it is obviously ruining our imaginations.

Might be time to stop re-watching the clip.

You are sounding Buffallo Billish.

You're right i do have a choice and I opted out of seeing these images. And I was not talking about despartz posts to begin with, I was talking about seeing the images at all. I see them on my news feed for fb where they are either used as memes or as a way of spreading what's happening, I see them through the news on tv, I see them when you go to news sites before you even click on the link. And in no way I meant to complain, it was more of a way of saying how it saddens me that this happens to people and even though I can't imagine what hell it is for them, as a human I feel for them, and they are in my thoughts.

The images I have seen on the news and on news links were heavily censored. And I have seen nothing of it on facebook, and if it did pop in my feed, whoever in my friends list who shared it would be immediately deleted.

I am assuming the images here were uncensored given the nature of the description that was shared as a warning as to what was on the link, because obviously I didn't click it. By the way you were explaining your distress, I assumed you clicked the link.

Out of interest. Did you in fact click the shared link?

I don't know what shared link you are talking about in all honesty. I don't click on the links that despartz has posted in here because I made that mistake once in another thread and it was too terrifying for me. I did respond to the descriptions though which created images in my own mind. The images I was referring to were not as graphic as detailed above but affected me none the less. On fb they are not censored at all and I won't delete them for displaying it. I know they are trying to spread awareness in hopes it has others doing something about it. I can't say I believe those people are bad for it. Social media is accessible to all and does raise awareness and opinions for all to make. It's a bad thing sometimes but a great way other times. If it wasn't for social media I'm not sure I would know as much as I do now.

I did make the initial post about my feelings and I acknowledge I should have kept it about how it would be for them. But trala, however someone talks about it is not a bad thing. Because it has people talking and it does anger people, and people are responding about it so it also shows people are coming together through words and ideas about people who are across the world and hopefully will create actions. All these small things are little steps.

Ahh see when you said:-

It's barbaric- I'm so disgusted, saddened, enraged with hate! I can't even think of the feelings I have towards this. Those images of those children- I cried at the monstrous inhumane torture. This needs to stop

right after the posted links I incorrectly assumed you clicked on the link and I jumped straight to being judgmental. You will find I assume/jump to the wrong conclusion/get judgemental/need to apologise alot...

I disagree when you imply talking about it is always a good thing. I think when someone talks about a tragic circumstance from the safety of their lounge and becomes mesmerised to the point they are studying the clean cut of the throat, or introducing these tragic images to memes so we can be entertained on facebook, that is disrespectful, unhelpful and a very bad thing. When someone uses this imagery to promote hatred towards Islam - that is a bad thing, when someone uses this imagery to shock and awe on the interweb - that is a bad thing. Actions come through being proactive and seeing what you can do to help. Sharing gore, liking a facebook post, or posting the fact seeing the pictures gave you a bad dream does fuck all to help.

Never fear, in a weeks time facebook and the interweb will be filled with a new outrage and the boy/girl holding the severed head will be all but forgotten.
