I wonder if they really do have their apartments already.
They have the plans and have hot their builders etc. I thought maybe after doing the guest room they would choose which apartment based on who wins. Like they did on Sky High. Maybe not.
Also, have I just become too cynical.. Or was the phone call during the WHS meeting totally staged?

So what is that big gap between 4 & 5?
And why can't 2 have some front windows? Maybe even windows both ends?
I cannot see any Aussie buying any home without windows - we like fresh air, we must have fresh air, most of us want lots of outdoor living.
Ever been in a house without windows? Horrible, feels like prison.

They're actually not as bad tonight.
But the last few nights, JEEZ! Smily, boyish, camera-crazy puppies! I was ready to stick pins into Mr Jam's eyes so he wouldn't watch and learn. He's very impressionable, you know.
Scotty said that all the apartments have a void to let in more light, so presumably that's where it will go.I want to know where Chris and Jenna are going to plant their big tree that they're planning.
Apparently trees have roots and stuff (I know, it's amazing to me too, I understand very little about live plants haha) so where the heck will it go?

Yeah I know where it will grow up, but the void only goes between level 1 & 2 up to the ceiling. Since there is a floor on level one and shops/parking underneath, I was just wondering where/how the tree would be planted.
I'm not trying to be smart, I honestly can't envision it and was hoping someone could clue me in.

The apartment layout.
1 - Michael & Carlene
2 - Chris & Jenna
3 - Karstan & Max
4 - Shannon & Simon
5 - Darren & Dee
I could be very wrong here - but I think the atrium might run from front to back - so between apartments 1, 2 & 3 and apartments 4 & 5. I think the gap between apartments 4 & 5 will be a challenge apartment that they all have to complete together at the end of their apartments renos. But I could be wrong and it could be the atrium. I'm not good with getting screen shots but in one of the first episodes they showed the layers a bit more and there is an elevator going from the bottom up and there's a sort of middle hallway on level 2 (which I think is where the front doors to all the apartments are). So I think the atrium goes there.
Anyway - enough gibber gabber from me. As I said - I could be wrong.
I'm a huge fan of the block and came on here in the hopes that there would be other fans too and yay there are. I'm not really set on all the couples. The brothers can be a bit irksome sometimes - I find them a bit whiney. Dee and Darren are a bit annoying with their bickering. Chris is a bit of an idiot but overall Jenna and Chris seem ok to me. I don't like Maxine because she got on my nerves in episode one where she mentioned she was a major event planner about one million times and it just started to drive me bonkers. Carlene and Michael seem to be ok though. But I'm going to hold off until I see a bit more of them before I really make my mind up about the contestants.
