I think Tully and Astro are maybe going to do all 3 challenges but only one is filmed....

anyway plenty of photo ops for Tully, while she is over there:)

I watched some of BB Australia 2013 on YouTube today. It's just so much better than big brother US.
I can't wait for this season to start. But, a question if you don't mind, seeing how there was just a photo of Matt. Why didn't he win? I was watching early episodes and he just seems great. Was it because he got eliminated that week that so many people were nominated and Ed barely squeaked by.Matt with a tiny difference in votes? Or am I remembering it wrong? Wasn't there something strange with the nomination secret power the week he was up, like Tully got him nominated by accident?

He didn't win because none of that group were particularly popular outside the house.

Matt wasn't nominated.

There were 6 people up for eviction, the same as each week. Ed had the highest number of points and had to choose between Tim and Jade for the 6th nomination spot. He chose Jade. Drew won Showdown, saved Jade and put Matt up for eviction. Matt was evicted by a small margin from Ed.

Well for me I disliked Matt a lot, he came of as kind of sexist, don't ask me to remember how I got that impression of him I just have it.
I think the week he went people were hoping the Ed would leave I'm pretty sure he was the bookies fav to go that week.
Now lets just all be thankful that the years of a boring male winning BBAU are over. Hopefully this year we get a female winner, preferably somebody unique and interesting.

Didn't Matt also have a thing with Tully that week? He told her she is always self centred and didn't think of others or something along those lines. First time I really appreciated him.
 
I knew there was something strange about the way he was nominated. I wish Ed had gone and Matt had stayed because Jade would have been much more interesting without Ed. I remember some sexist remarks, but I didn't think everyone was offended by them at the time. I might have thought they were anomalies from him being in the have not with 6 girls. He may be way worse than I remembered.

It's just so nice to see them having fun and being creative and partying. BB US has turned into nothing but miserable gossiping with the girls being slaughtered by the guys. It's not fun.
 
Oh and at the time I did want Ed to go in that particular week, but looking back Tim needed an enemy and that ended up being Ed. Plus I had a lot of fun reading all the shit people would write on here about Ed and his bloody cards.


And without Ed in the house the good people of this forum would not of had the blogger to go to war with..... Actually scratch that the blogger still did write some stupid articles/blogs about other HMs

What were Matt's sexist remarks? Inigo pointed to that too but the only sexist remarks I remember in the house were from Tully, so I must have missed Matt's.

Edit - Now that I think about it, I remember when he was put in the halfway house with all the girls he talked about training them and showing them who the boss was, or something like that.

Yes, the training the girls was all I could think of. Not watching everything. I would have liked to see Matt stay over Ed and Mikkayla gone much sooner. I think the dynamic would have been better without Ed and Mikkayla. But, anyway, I really enjoyed the season. I think I'm going to rewatch instead of watch ing BB US. Anyone else want to rewatch some episodes while we wait? We could start a thread. And we can skip boring episodes or fast forward.

I think some people did see those comments as sexist, however I thought they were tongue-in-cheek responses to prompting from BB. I may be remembering that incorrectly, though - but I know I felt they weren't serious comments and didn't take them as such. That said, I didn't feel he had much of a personality and seemed a bit moralistic, as did Ed.

I thought so but I didn't find them funny. Its an iffy road to walk when you are trying to win a popularity contest. If Joss Whedon is getting criticism from feminists now, Matt's jokes (?) are easy targets.
