I don't like it
Yeah, when nobody turned around for that little girl singing Turning Tables and she cried I got upset with her. It's hard enough seeing nobody turn for the adult singers...let alone children
I know! How devastating! Poor little kid. I just can't watch any more.
...I'm not into 'The Voice' at all... which doesn't mean that it is not a good show... my wife watches all the time and at the moment... 'The Voice:Kids' version that's on now... I came across this news article and thought that I'd post it here in case anyone wants to read it... cheers.

I don't like it
...I'm not into 'The Voice' at all... which doesn't mean that it is not a good show... my wife watches all the time and at the moment... 'The Voice:Kids' version that's on now... I came across this news article and thought that I'd post it here in case anyone wants to read it... cheers.

It was the first time I watched Kids and it was truly awful to see that child so clearly distressed. I won't be watching again.

It does seem too much to put kids through to me.
However, kids do love to compete, and they do in everything from grades to sport - and the rest ( ie farts, burps, jumping, running)
And if they are doing this sort of stuff they must be going to auditions for musicals etc? Some clearly are quite the performers.
Or maybe most kids are divas???
Some sure are, I recall 2 i went through school with, yuck.
A singer/actor was forever belting out Hey Big Spender, very odd for a Catholic girls school, the nuns loved her and gave her all the good parts in plays.
And a ghastly ballet dancer, god she was awful - then she kept getting fatter and fatter.
And - our school was in some acting competition. I was a bit player in the background.
Anyway, when we lost, LOL - the leads and our drama lady went psycho.
But we sucked. I'm pretty sure, our entire thing sucked.
The winners had a girl I was stunned by, like a young Cate Blanchette, she was fantastic.
Anyway - I'm getting at, lots of kids have big fat egos undaunted by anything much.
Voice kids is a terrible, terrible idea though - give it no ratings and let it die.
We don't need singing kids annoying us.
However, kids do love to compete, and they do in everything from grades to sport - and the rest ( ie farts, burps, jumping, running)

What a shame Sabrina & Jackson are on the same team, and the duo and the drummer boy are my other faves.
So, what will they do if Sabrina & Jackson get like millions of votes, and another team gets 3 votes. That cat ears girl annoys me, she sounds boring to my ears, don't like the shrieking blonde girl either.
Rock guy needs to learn physical presence, he's so flimsy it doesn't match the voice - like I could blow him away with a big puff.
I don't mean he's thin, I mean he doesn't have any physical magnetism/strength/presence/weight.

I missed a bit when I was cleaning, host just said there will be 5 finalists.
HOW? Can anyone fill me in please???
Have they basically just made it top 5 we vote for?
And unsaid, but - it is because everyone is voting for Jackson & Sabrina, and they are on the same team.
Yeah I hope so.
Would be bloody stupid if they are getting millions of votes for some, and barely any for the rest, and not adjust how it works somehow.

Well colour me shocked. Didn't expect that result from the home voting at all.
Me either I was 100% sure Sabrina was in, Im kind of sad actually, but Anja is great too, I wish was final 6
I just went to their FB page and it makes more sense now. People were PISSED that ZK beat her and it looks like she pulled votes from others. People are not digging ZK at all. I really wanted Sabrina to go through too but from the way Will kept focusing on her after I'm guessing he's going to hook her up with something. Or just hook up with her lol. Either one is probably a much better deal than the eventual winner will get.

Haha yes so true on all accounts. The Voice hasn't exactly the set the world on fire with a successful artist or even a single that I can recall, not winning these comps really does seem to be key. Although that didn't exactly work out for Sabrina with Aus Idol, there was a bit of fatigue with that show by that point whilst The Voice seems to be a bit more fresh with wider appeal, hopefully this isn't the last we have seen of her because she really is so crazy talented.
I saw a girl from Aus Idol on The X Factor too (I usually don't watch talent shows, what's going on here?), so that is three former contestants now trying again on new shows this year. It says a lot really about how hit and miss the whole talent show thing is.
Be stupid not to, 90% of her performances she seemed more like a guest performer than a contestant, I had her pegged as the winner, you are right though, none have done much, always count on Harrison to bring out an album for Mother's Day though!
Even onThe Voice US the winners never go anywhere. I wonder why that is. Obviously they can sing so something else is missing with these people the public picks. And I'll do you one better with these talent shows... not only am I watching a recording of the X-Factor right now but my damn Foxtel lost signal for the first chunk of it so I'm debating whether to stay up and wait for the episode to appear on their website haha.

Yeah I'm not sure what it is with The Voice, it was a juggernaut for ratings but it has failed to transpire into a bonafide music career for anyone. Really Aus Idol didn't produce too many lasting artists, I guess there is Ricki-Lee and Matt Corby, that's pretty much it. Oh and Guy has had some success in the US. That's it I think. X Factor has some equally talented people on it but they seem to have a bit more luck with forging careers, both Samantha Jade and Dami Im have done fairly well. Samantha is talented, but she wasn't necessarily the best singer on the show but she had that sort of star power (really trying to avoid saying x factor here...) so maybe it shows that you need more than "the voice" to make it in the industry, just look at a lot of the popstars out there for proof.
