How do you figure out the numbers?
Well if you are on a computer you can hover over their avatar and you will see the hyperlink to their profile page ends with their number ... Or you can 'quote' them and you will see their number as member:486 or whatever number in the quote
Or you can play hotlink roulette and put a random number in there and see who it links!! Haha

But @Tim is it considered a spoiler if it has aired? I guess this is trickier because we are watching it from OS and the time zone doesn't really work for us.
@Mr Stickyfingers did call it a spoiler but he was discussing an episode that had already aired and was available to watch ?!?
...I didn't actually put it in the Spoiler tags Tim because some people were already talking about the days episode so I thought that it was okay to do it the way that I did... a big red... >>>SPOILER ALERT<<<... to pre-warn people that hadn't seen it yet... I was going to actually post it later on tonight but when I saw that others were already talking about it I figured that it was alright...
...I'm happy to do it the way that you ask... also I was worried about whether my post was too big to fit between the spoilers tag... (I'm guessing now that it isn't to big too lol!)...
...I do find it a tad bit tedious to keep clicking on the spoiler tags during an actual 'Live' discussion because it's like reading flashbacks to me and disrupts the continuity of thought while writing the next post lol!... but hey... it's your website Tim... I'm happy to do as you ask...
... so just one curious question of what is the accepted time to post on the days events 'Live' once the video is released to us in Australia... what I mean is... I can normally get access to the video mid morning or whatever... do we have to wait until the evening when people get home from work... say 6:00 to 6:30 before we should chat 'Live' about it?... if we all agree on an accepted time then there can't be any margin of error...
...obviously if we early posters have to put everything into spoiler tags during the whole day because we want to chat about it straight away then I can see that most of us won't bother I guess...I'm definitely not trying to be a smart arse about this Tim so please don't think that I am... I'm just asking...

OMG this sounds too complicated. I do not read this thread after I know the episode has aired in the UK and till I've had a chance to watch it. Sometimes that is during the day, other times it is night time. My philosophy is if you don't want to be spoiled stay off the internet.
There are times like this week when we have Chris who has nominated the HMs and that information is available before the episode aired in the UK and that is an appropriate use of spoiler tags imo. But at the end of the day it is up to The Boss

I just don't get it on how to do what you're doing?... when I hover over peoples Avatars I can't see their number to quote or whatever... I must be a dumbfuck!... I'm not sure I've seen you even do the normal quoting?!?
If you just type the @ symbol and then type the username it will do it automatically for for you.
In fact it begins to suggest who you might want to quote.
The other thing above is just to muck around with it, so to link to someone but changing what their username looks like on the link.
...here are some more spoilers from 'Bit on the side' so beware... skip this post if you don't want to know what happened today!!!!!

... also when it came up about imagining Jale with the power but never getting it Rylan just said... "anything can change on Big Brother" which intimates that he is 'in the know'... wow!... wouldn't that be weird?... I wouldn't want Jale to have it because she is better off where she stands at the moment...
...after Rylan's comment about that it makes me all the more convinced that Helen will lose her direct entry into the finals along the way... oh God! I'd like to see that happen!... especially if she is swapped positions between Jale and herself!!!!!...
...Luisa had a segment where she met Steve Goode's family/some mates and the people that work for him... here are some actual facts about him... one of the facts may contradict his some of his bullshit VT direct from their mouths...
(1)... his mum said that Steve fired her 5 times...

(3)... she said that he also still lives at home with his family!!!!!...

yes to all of this..I must say that I find Kimberley really hard to understand,it might just be because I have a hearing disability but she seems to talk with her mouth closed,like she is biting her cheeks or something and she also has a little girl voice.Also wondering why does BBUK have americans on the show?

Yeah her voice is weird.
I think Kim might be based in the UK. I know for Survivor you have to be an American citizen, but on BBAU you just have to be classified as a resident of Australia, perhaps that's the same as BBUK.
