...guess what we had tonight for dinner?... a really quick and easy meal... we had 'chip butties'... they were so delicious that it was ridiculous!... just two pieces of bread with butter and some smokey barbecue sauce and some salt... the butter was melting as I was eating it... it's been such a long time since we ever did this!... it will happen more often in the future methinks lol!... this is similar to what we had... yum!... cheers.

This is very wrong, but my dinner was chocolate, milk and cream. No, really! I heated cooking chocolate in the microwave with thickened cream and added milk and there you have it, a very rich and thick hot chocolate. I'm feeling a little bad about it now and know I'm not doing myself any favours lol, so I know I will have to burn it off now.
Chip or Bacon Butties are the best. Food of the Gods. I wouldn't have sauce on mine, but you are seriously making me drool.......
Oh dear. Didn't work, Gemini
My mouth is watering... I want the recipe to that saucePotato and parsnip croquettes with green goddess sauce, followed by roast vegetable cassoulet. Vegetarian heaven![]()
My mouth is watering... I want the recipe to that sauce
Thank you! This is definitely my type of sauce/dressing... It sounds like it would be amazing on fish, but parsnip is on my mind nowIt's totally easy, Sweetgeek; and it tastes like spring.
Mix this lot in a blender:
1/3 cup of mayonnaise
1/4 cup greek yoghurt or sour cream
handful each of flat-leaf parsley and mint leaves
1/2 bunch of chives
2 spring onions chopped (white part only)
juice of 1/2 lime
It's actually a dressing, and is great on salad. I imagine it would be good on steamed or grilled fish or shell fish, too.
I made the green goddess sauce/dressing with grilled chicken and potato baked in foil... OMG! That sauce is freaking delicious! @Jam, I cannot thank you enough for posting it.
Grilled chicken is my lazy way of cooking. But that sauce can turn any plain food exciting.I'm so glad you liked it! I think it's delish, too. I musy try it with grilled chicken. Thanks for the tip.
