Think you know? Think again. Something isn't right might be the new theme ... as in last year's Twist theme perhaps?

a mole perhaps?

There were plenty of moles in previous years... *chuckles at own lame gag*

.. In all seriousness you could be onto something though.

I've actually thought about this for a little while - how these seasons seem to follow the trends Ten did at double-pace.

Season 2012 = Season 2001/02 - Still new, fresh. Trying a few different things, but mostly working on getting an image across. Two intruders, not very gimmicky.

Season 2013 = Season 2003/04 - Trying a few new gimmicks here. Split house ala '03. More intruders. Bit more stunt casting

Season 2014 = Season 2005/06 - Casting people who are single - looking for showmances. Mother/daughter duos getting further in casting. Something NQR ("Think Again").

but why would they have to repeat other seasons when we have probably given them a million other ideas they could use?

Why would Survivor do Blood vs Water again?
Why do another Amazing Race All-Star season?

Simply because it's a tried and tested formula, and the producers already know what parts of the twist work and what parts don't.

ETA: Elaboration.

A new twist comes with potential flaws that could easily rear its ugly head and cause a result that producers don't want.

A twist that has been attempted before isn't the same sort of uncharted territory. Producers can easily patch over things they didn't think worked in order to receive the desired result from the twist.

i forgot about Blood vs Water next, haha

it's just if they keep using the same formula it becomes predictable for the viewer. this is why the casting is critical in this game alone, they don't have the same free space to roam around like the other shows and have distractions. put in the right people and the conversations alone will carry the show, this should be their priority

and reality should mean reality, any script at all voids this

and i would like to buy another guess and go with sometime in July?

Obviously this something not quite right theme has to with the little work that seems to be done on the house - twist - The HMs will have to build the house.

Yup, but - it's been 8-9 years since BB05/06, so teenagers (who appear to be a large part of BB's audience) were under 9/10 at that age and likely don't remember.

Plus, they may not do the hidden mother/daughter thing like in 06 - and they might go for a Jackie/Charlie Travers situation (BBUK last year)

i have no idea who they are, i will have to look them up and come back on that one :)

Then BB can do some cross promotion with the Block, maybe have scotty cam come in and teach the HMs how to build shit.

so the 'not quite right' is Caleb and Matt are on 'The 'Block' but are in the BB house again?

i have an idea for next year now, and it is crazy, maybe too crazy for BB

Oh come on you have to tell me what your idea is....

another potential twist (seeing as A-Mav loves borrowing from BBUK) - the "People's Puppet" twist.

Cast the "average" Australian - ie: 37-year-old female - who is put in to complete tasks selected by viewer's choice (ie - do/don't sabotage house task, do/don't push for useless product on shopping budget, nominate who Australia picks, do/don't "shred" clothing of housemates).

They are immune from nomination but will be (fake) "evicted" after week 2/3 - but, unlike the UK version, the fact they were Australia's puppet will never be revealed.
