He is encouraging her by favouriting her tweets and engaging in coversations with her. Either it's an ego boost for him (remember how he kept on reliving Jade saying she loved him and questioning her about it, even asking if he was the love of her life?) - or he really doesn't pay any attention at all to who posts - just that they post nice things about him

Yep true. They really should read what they favour. Maybe it is a self-esteem booster for him but that girl's friends/mother should calm her down. She is acting like a 12 yr old.
