Housemate Hunt 2014

PPS - I am pretty sure I also saw Erin from Channel 7's last failed series of the mole at the auditions for BB in Melbourne on Sat. She was the 'actual mole' player in that series. I reckon she's got a spot on Big Brother this year, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised.
Wikipedia, The Mole Series 6 or just google Erin from the mole.

Ha! I actually didn't mind what I saw of Erin in three weeks I watched the Mole.

I'm one of the very few people who liked The Mole. Would be interesting if Erin made it.

I liked it as well, I wish it had rated well so it would come back for another season. Erin actually would be a pretty good choice for BB I think, but we don't even know if she actually auditioned.

She auditioned. She was in the auditorium sitting front row on left side of me. She wouldn't have been able to get to that point unless she was registered. Will be interesting nevertheless.

Well I don't care what they say they want this year, I don't think it's older people, I went to the first Melbourne auditions and made it to round two, I was watching the people before me who got through to round three, a nice little red head who was in my group for round one got through to round two but the whole time I was there not one older person got through to round three, in my group a young girl who wanted to be the token Kiwi got through and a professional actor, whats with the actors, I just watched a clip from 2008 and love them or hate them at least they were normal people, thats what big brother is supposed to be all about

Hi Rose, long time reader, first time poster.
Was just wondering on a bit more information on the people you mentioned. Did the red head get through to round 3 or were they split up from you for round 2? Did she seem like a particular stereotype or someone that would be in the house? Bitchy? Sweet? All the usual questions!
And also the Kiwi - did she have any other attributes to you other than a token Kiwi? And what did the actor have on offer personality wise?
Thanks in advance. I'm loving following the stories on here and will be great to see who actually makes the house!

I see. Well then, yeah, that does sound like damning evidence. I guess she is intelligent and attractive and pretty hot too, so she would be pretty perfect, let's not get ahead of ourselves though. Also, I think it would be pretty silly to pick someone from another reality show on another network that aired just the previous year.

I think she would make a great housemate and would appeal to a lot of people. I also would like to see what Erin is like without the whole Mole thing going on.

I wonder if @starry is interested in this news. I've seen her on the "Survivor Sucks" The Mole forum.

Stoopid 5 min delay - I mean intelligent and articulate, but attractive also works too.

It would be good to see her on something a bit more candid than The Mole. Us speculating "publicly" will probably not help her chances though...

I remember that one of the winners from the first season of TAR AU was on the 2nd season of celebrity apprentice the following year, so this "stealing" of reality stars from another network is not unheard of.

Oh that's true, and I think they did it with someone from The Block as well didn't they? Along with Layla from BB12? I guess in those cases it's a bit different because they are appealing on The Apprentice as a "reality celebrity".

But you are still correct. As has been stated in this thread Jess from BB02 was in 1 ep of The Mole, and Paul Dyer from BB04 was previously on a reality show The Club, although I don't think that was a show with mass appeal so many BB viewers would have never seen it (myself included). I'm sure there even more cases of cross-contamination amongst reality TV.

Wow never knew about Paul from 04. At least our reality TV crossovers are not as bad as the 3 big CBS reality shows are, with TAR, BB and Survivor all having some sort of crossovers in the past.

I clearly haven't bothered looking into the comparison from previous years to this year..
But is it me or are the Auditions covering more ground this year and running a bit longer than it usually would?

I was at Canberra today

Mums and daughters getting through even though babs (boring as bat s..t)

Also a hot guy rocked up filled his paperwork in on the day straight through to round two! He said in round 2 that he didn't get a fast track he just rocked up at the desk and then got a free pass to round 2.

@Rubbernecker So you just said that you went today to the Canberra audition.. how did you do.. assuming you auditioned??

 Ohhh to be hot and have good looks.. I bet, by the sounds of it.. he's "that guy", that just cruises through life... relying on his good looks to get him places.

Yeah he barely spoke in round 2 and was the only one to round 3

Really? How bizarre. I know someone who got through to round 3 by barely speaking, so maybe there is a quality or something horribly vague like that makes people like this stand out, or do you think it really was just his looks?

Its sounds like typical Big Brother. Get a so called "attractive" male into a house with single females. I heard they have been asking about peoples relationships and such. Anyway this is all to boost ratings and cause some problems in the house. Well in my opinion. It's not necessarily a bad thing however I would like more genuine people, not people using there body to get them places.

I think that guy you spoke to is full of shit.
