Given the fact that her relationships thus far have not really worked out in her favour (and even caused her fans some grief i.e Ed using her etc...) I don't think it would hurt to maybe just once give a guy (i.e lack of yummy biceps) a chance that she would normally overlook. The guys she falls for keep on stomping on her heart so obviously you can't say her intuition when it comes to picking potential partners is that trustworthy. You never know she might surprise even herself.

Admittedly Matt has the biceps, but Rohan, Xavier and Nathan are pretty much 'yummy biceps' free. She'd have a lot of uncomplicated fun with both Rohan and Nathan and probably Xavier, but I don't think Jade and Xavier would work long-term because I think he would tire of her - they are on different intellectual planes.

I don't think Tim because he is so flakey.

Of last years HMs who do you think would be a good fit?
 
Don't know about a good fit since we never got to know the housemates all that well in terms of their beliefs etc.. because the producers decided to show footage of other aspects of the housemates. I won't go into as to what and why that was out of respect for her fans in her own thread.

And Matt was taken whilst in the house (don't know about his current status) and Jade still made a bee line for him. That was distasteful to say the least and one of the reasons (among many) why Jade rubbed me the wrong way but anyway.

She appears to easily get fixated on guys who are buffed without really getting to know who they truly are. I guess all I am saying is that it would be in her best interest relationship wise to be looking past superficial traits and focus more on characteristics based on personality etc.. She's in her mid 20s, she should've outgrown that type of shallow attitude in her late teens.

Maybe Matt but I honestly don't see any of the housemates as a good fit with Jade.

In my opinion the funny thing with Jade is that she is one of the quietest on social media but I feel I have learnt more about her since she has been out of the house than in.

To me she seems like a girl with very simple tastes but a strong desire to achieve something independently. Lots of youngish women around like this nowadays. I really like it.

I was hoping she would of moved to the Northern Beaches. Up around where Chef Dan lives there is whole type of new subculture of Pro Surfers who do not compete but are paid well by their sponsors. Hard to explain but these guys are health conscious and creative types that the surf brands are pushing pretty hard too that 20 -30 Age group. Not quite hippy but not quite hard partying surfers either.I think Jade would fit that scene pretty well.

With my full stalking hat on, danger danger, I was having a coffee with one of these guys last week and i tipped him into Jade on Insta and Twitter, said he should send her a message, haha I am a worry aren't I . He is a shy bloke and I couldn't convince him to send her a message. I am doing some work with him next week, I will give him a gentle push again.

Jokes aside, I do see Jade with somebody like this. Whatever may happen if she pursues a relationship with anyone hope she finds a good guy.

I see the point you are making - certainly about not getting to know the housemates properly. To use Jade as an example - only because it's in this thread - many HMs commented on her sense of humour and how funny she was, but that was glossed over. Also her strength and independence was talked about but never seen. There were other examples with each of the HMs as well - as many posters have commented since the series finished, their opinions of HMs have changed since the show finished - often for the better.

I must admit that I never saw the making a play for Matt thing that others mention. I did see her talking about the size of his hand one time, but didn't put much stock in it. I was surprised when Matt took a bit of an exception to Tahan spending time with Caleb and spoke to her about it as she had a boyfriend. I don't think anyone else, other than Matt, would have seen Tahan as in anyway even considering playing up or behaving in any way that could be construed as even remotely inappropriate- so I think he maybe overly sensitive to things like that, or how he thought it may have appeared to partners watching. I know Matt and Jade remain in contact still now - so I don't think there was any real issue there.

I also see your point about appearances rather than substance, but don't think Ed is a good example to use. Yes, he is buff - but to a girl (she was still only 22 when she entered the house) who has been raised by a hippy who moved them around and had them living in a tepee at one point, with little stability or security - as well as being shunted across the globe annually to her other family - confident Ed probably did seem to be someone who had his feet on the ground. He had completed a degree, held a good job, knew where he was headed (or so he said), claimed to want a family and seemed solid and sensible with the same family loyalty and values as Jade. As she said, he really wasn't the type she usually went for - he was much more clean cut and together. She was looking at the values and characteristics he talked about and displayed in the house.

By the time she reaches her mid 20s I'm sure she will have matured more.

Completely agree - you never would have known Jade was into fitness and health from the show, I remember talk of the "Jade diet", but I think it probably came across as her not eating much rather than just trying to eat healthy. She clearly was working out, but all we got were the lazing by the pool shots. And I think what you did with that guy was really sweet - hope he gets his courage up next time. It probably shows he is a good one

I think you are right. Because of her passion for health and fitness I think she will be drawn to guys who are fit and buff purely because they share the same lifestyle and commitment to their health. Ed had the workout part happening in the house - but doesn't follow a healthy lifestyle

Haha thanks, it looks a bit weird written down like that.

I might explain a bit better. This particular guy i have been friends with his Mum since Primary School, she rang me to do some work for her son (i'm a Sports and Entertainment Lawyer) I was catching up with her and somehow we talked BB I said i was in love with Jade, SHE said oh she would be perfect for ........... we were sort of teasing her son, but I'm thinking Perfect Match :)

I shall gently push on. ;)

I didn't mean in regards to Jade, just in general. Ed was desperate and weird in the house, but there was something gross about Tim's stunt (beyond the whole drinking piss thing).

The devout ones seem to have their hearts set on some chef with a six pack. Which is good because if they are not in great shape I don't think Jade would look twice. Sorry biceps. Shredded in general I suppose.
 
I don't think Jade's alone in being attracted to buff guys and I don't think this was the only reason she was attracted to Ed. I think she saw Ed as being strong, sensible and a gentleman, someone who was settled in life.... but the reality was a little different. My thoughts are that Jade probably feels that if she's in a relationship she will feel more settled in her life and won't feel torn about being away from her family OS. I hope she can find someone who really cherishes her as I think she's got a lot of love in her heart to share.

Which is baffling because Ed is so reviled by her fans. Double think much? :)

Which begs the question what did Jade see in Ed that her fans absolutely loathed. I have to admit that was one of the things that I found extremely amusing on this board during last year's series. The reality is Jade saw what she wanted to believe was in Ed because he ticked all the right boxes as far as her physical checklist in guys was concerned. She seemed blinded to his faults because of her physical attraction to Ed and that's okay, she isn't the first and won't be the last to be guilty of that.

Not being a fan of hers I'm not oblivious to this. Her fans on the other hand make up all sorts of reasons to explain it away. :p

Being a guy I know what this is all about since we're accused of being superficial and judging women solely on their appearance all the time.:)

It's not a bad thing. Attraction is one of the keys to a relationship. If it were not you could just marry your friends. At this stage it does seem to be higher on her priorities list than any other qualities she is looking for. If Ed did not tick the good looks box, there would be no amount of other qualities that would make Jade look at him in that light. But since the good looks box was ticked she ignored/couldn't see qualities that would not work for her. I think most people are superficial to a certain degree, because relationships without attraction don't really work. It depends on how important looks are. It is just much tougher to find all of the qualities you mentioned in a person who is great looking. Especially if you are looking for a guy in his mid to late twenties (that's the take advantage time for most).

While I like Jade, very much, the thing with Matt did annoy me. Honestly, whenever Jade did annoy me, it involved a guy. I definitely have an opinion on Jade and guys, but I'll just say I hope she stays focused on getting to know who she is and what she wants. The guys will come when they come.
