Yeah we have mutual friends but we're not close. We just usually see each other at holidays or celebrations for a birthday or whatever and catch up then. I've only seen him once so far since BB ended and he made a sarcastic comment about the show after I mentioned I *cough* only watched while he was on *cough* but that's his usual personality. How he's acting isn't surprising to me though... just more frustrating because I've always maintained that he should never have been invited to the finale, parties, do Ch 9 stuff especially if they weren't going to include Justynn. He took the place of how many other people who wanted that spot and gave it up. As a fan I don't think that behaviour should be rewarded although A+ for the spin they put on his "ultimate sacrifice". He chose to leave the house as he couldn't deal with it all so it makes no sense that he is repeatedly attempting to engage someone who he said contributed to his miserable short-lived experience.
 
I do like men, but I like good character. I think Drew is great, Dougal, Xavier and Rohan seem like decent guys. David seems like a great guy.

I don't want to argue with you, especially about Caleb, but seriously you've heard nothing from Caleb, a rumour about Matt (which I found believable too), a version of events from yesterday's news Layla, and Maddie to her credit doesn't appear to have said anything. If they had a little fling, I don't think either of them has told. You and I both think there'd have been an issue with Jade and Drew because of a difference of intellect. Isn't it just possible that Maddie wanted a night or two of fun and she CHOSE the time and place. Not all women are Caleb's 'victims'.

He has only posted 1 photo of him with a friend, any friend since he has been out. He hasn't even posted a picture with his fellow firemen. He tried charging people $1,000 for dog sandboxes that would probably take him 2 or 4 at the most hours to make. He reeks of bad character.

You sound like a revivalist preacher, all hell and damnation. I love the 'proof' they use too. No doubt you are sure that the fires of hell await Ed and Caleb. Good grief.

And frankly it's not the last shot I'll take. Every time you dive into the abyss I'll probably do it again. You can tell me to 'fuck off', which you've done before, or just accept that whilst we agree on some things, in other areas I find your views as offensive as you no doubt find mine.

You're probably right - I'd only looked at it from the perspective of not being fair to exclude Justynn, rather than considering that if Justynn wasn't eligible to be included, then nor should Nathan.

Kind of makes me sad. Like he may not have any real close friends. I always wondered why he stayed with Matt and not anyone closer. And with the thought that his dad going into surgery, did he have anyones shoulder to cry on... It sounds lonely. He comes across as lonely. I think caleb is a good guy but a lonely one too

You like playing Devil's Advocate but you don't show proof of the other side when you do it, so it's really just taking cheap shots while trying to disguise it as taking the high road.

Again very best wishes for his dad's recovery. IMO there must be some reason he doesn't have friends, he's not shy, not ugly, not anything on the surface that would prevent him from having friends, so why doesn't he ?

I'm all talk - I HATE confrontation ... so I do the worst thing possible and internalise until I get so fed up that even the silliest little thing will cause me to explode! I don't think I could lift coworker off ground even 1cm let alone swing her around overhead before releasing but in my head anything is possible and I see her flying through the air and landing face first into a tree!! OR better yet through the centre of those AFL goal posts and little men in white coats do the

i know ... I'm an evil nasty person who just should NOT be allowed out of the house! lol

I really don't know. He seems like a person my dad would joke around with in the pub at first glance, I guess I'm confused with that too.

why do you assume he has no friends - I think he's up spending time with Dad and sister and her young family focussing on helping them all get through this
he's been back at work also
I don't know if before BB Caleb was into documenting his whole life on SM and so maybe he doesn't do that when it comes to going out with friends ... maybe right now he isn't socialising that much because of the need to be around family

He may think that people would be more interested in his work, his family & god help us ... yes his dog! than pics of him down at the local with his mates or coworkers

(hey Caleb - if they're in uniform we're interested ;) just a heads up! )

I just don't think you can judge him on whether he has friends or not on his SM feed ...

one thing that HAS surprised me though - where are the supportive tweets from any of the HM's?

But we have no idea whether he has friends or not. Keeping in mind his age, there's every chance that most of his mates are married with young families. It doesn't mean they can't still be friends, but it probably cuts down opportunities to socialise. Remember also that becoming a fireman rarely happens to young twenty somethings. The waiting lists are huge, so it's often a job where the men and women are very likely to be in domestic situations that are very settled.
