I thought these shirts were high quality. I guess I assumed that from the price. It is impossible to tell from the photo. The one I liked says it is acid washed so it might be better quality. Thanks for posting this information.
Don't take my word for it lol. I'm only assuming that they could be similar, I really have no idea. They could be of higher quality, I just didn't think to those standards. But I also need to factor in that drews shirts promote a certain lifestyle and in many cases people do pay extra for what a clothing line represents. I love sport girl for example and will happily pay that extra for some of their clothes. I guess the worth is up to a persons own relation to how they view a clothing line.
Even if you remove the ones like Margot Robbie and Guy Pearce who were actually not in Home and Away?
Chris Hemsworth, Chris Egan, Melissa George, Isla Fisher, Ryan Kwanten, there's quite a few I think.
Plus various ones who've moved onto other acting things within Australia as well, so it's probably quite a good platform

Nobody said Margot Robbie was in H&A as far as I saw. Apparently Guy Pearce was also on H&A according to the list on Wikipedia. But the result is the same. The list of former H&A actors outshines the Neighbours cast when it comes to acting success. I'm talking about making it in Hollywood and the USA, the biggest market of all.
The whole thing is fake.
My bad, I thought they did. Apologies.

Yeah, I agree. It never hurts to try and new things and develop new skills while they have the opportunity to. I know a lot of them want to get into acting, but who knows, maybe in the process of working towards that they might come across something else that they love that's actually easier to get into with the connections they already have. I know if I were Tahan for example I'd be asking Ed for the contacts of the presenting course he did. She's beautiful and wouldn't be afraid to ask tough questions so I think she'd make a good presenter in the media. The only thing I think would let her down is that she seemed to struggle a fair bit with her speaking skills when she had to talk in structured situations (i.e. noms, reading out tasks, that promo task in the last week, etc) but that's nothing a bit of training like Ed has done couldn't fix. I think she'd be quite good at it and I almost tweeted her about it once before reminding myself that it certainly wasn't my place to be giving any of them advice lol.
I think tahan suits the presenting role but sometimes I just don't see it. Might be me, but she sounds nasally sometimes. I guess it depends on the type of presenting she will do. I will hold my tongue until the getaway episode airs. There are lots to the hms we don't know, for instance, who knew Ed could photograph well? Surprised me that's for sure. Whatever skills they have and whatever skills they can improve on is worth it if they want this bad enough, but they should prepare themselves for the worse too. And are you nuts wanting to give advice? Lol, no offence of it isn't the hms that will have a go at you, it's the followers they have that will bite your head off

Yep - I could see my son's paying $60 for those teeshirts ... after all they used to want the Quicksilver/Billabong/RipCurl tees or the Henleys (regular price around the $40-$60 mark) when they were in high school ... and they could spot the cheaper knockoffs a mile away!
If you are really wanting a Drew collaboration teeshirt I'd keep an eye out for another Wacky Wednesday (or whatever they called it last week when they were giving 20% off)
Mind you - once you add postage to the US onto this - I'd be wanting one Drew actually spent some time in

It's nice to see xavier open up and show another side which isn't just making jokes. It must be terrible to lose a parent at that age, my mum also lost her dad when she was in her teens but it's definitely made her a stronger person.

Not saying its not. There just seemed to be some sort of weird competition between H & A and Neighbours. My stance was that they both seemed good platforms for young aspiring actors and musicians, rather than one being vastly better than the other. I was getting drawn into the argument against my better judgement!
Home & Away has a more limited audience than that of the other people who you claimed were shitty pop stars (but still someone is buying their records or putting them into judging panels for tv shows) or moderately successful actors (but still getting work outside of Home & Away) and therefore have a wider audience seeing their work AND from that could get offers of other work that allows them to shine in their chosen arenas
...
Don't care about shitty pop stars, was talking about actors. And success to me equals making it in the biggest market there is (money wise) which is Hollywood and the USA.
For example, with former H&A actors I can name an oscar winner, a star of a billion dollar plus grossing movie and the headliner of a top rated US network TV series. Where are the equivalent Neighbours actors?

Yeah, I learnt a long time ago not to make assumptions about what HMs probably could and couldn't do based on what we saw on the show. Because like you pointed out:

That was a good bit of writing and I like his dig at that blogger who apparently should not be named.

I wasn't coming from a H&A vs Neighbours argument with my comment ... rather had thought you were saying having a long standing part on H&A was better than moving on and becoming a not-so-successful something else (shitty pop star/moderately successful actor) - and was disagreeing on that because they at least have a wider audience and therefore the ability to get other work opportunities than sticking with a regular paycheck on H&A but not getting out there and chasing the bigger dream
I don't watch either soap so am not going to argue the merits of either one ... just talking in regards to it being a platform to future work opportunities rather than the end goal in your career ...

it sounded like something Xavier has been wanting to say and release for a long time. wasn't mushy but definitely tender and raw

That's why I enjoy reading this thread - there are usually several different discussions going on, and keeping track of which one new comments relate to can be interesting

I don't watch them either, I assume they're both shit shows. I was only making the point that H&A has the better track record with actors who have gone on to bigger and better things acting wise.

Had to look it up about Chris Hemsworth, but he was only on 1 episode of Neighbours so that doesn't count. Margot Robbie has been in 1 movie that I can name. Guy Pearce has been on both shows, but he is more known for Neighbours so that's something.
Still not as good as the former H&A actors which is what I originally said and am correct about. No matter how much people want to argue the point.
