Where to start, wow. Happy to see Jade getting a couple of auditions. As [MENTION=34226]jessy_girl[/MENTION] said above there is plenty going on in Film and Television in Australia at the moment so although it will always be hard at least Jade is getting her name out there and hopefully in front of a range of casting agents, you never know what is around the corner.

Interesting couple of tweets referring to her mate Dan. I must say I know nothing about this guy never even heard of him until he was mentioned here. Some of you guys seem to know a bit about him, no matter whether anything romantic or otherwise develops I hope he is a good guy. Silly isn't it. I don't even know the girl but sort of feel protective of her. I guess that is part of her charm, you just want nice things for her.

As for this blog run by Nick Lower which Ed has apparently just been made aware of. Again I am not really familiar with the whole thing but I take it that Nick and his sister and the flatmates said some not so nice things about Jade while the show was on. I'm glad they have removed those potentially offending posts because that tells me that they recognise they were wrong and have done what they can do to get rid of it. That strange blogger girl Leesa was fairly outspoken against the Lowers, and frankly I find her waffling to be full of shit so I'm not going to hang the Lowers and there friends for things they may have said. I know I have said some pretty silly things in the past and changed my mind about a person when I got to know them.

I'm not really against Ed, I kind of understand what he was up to and he sort of dug a hole for himself with Jade while the show was on. I do think he is most probably not a bad guy, just not suited to Jade. He handled the situation poorly but it could of been much worse if Ed was a bastard. As for the group that Ed hangs with, they are not really my cup of tea, I see them as almost sort of yuppies (there is a word not used often anymore) whereas Jade is much more down to earth fairly simple classic Aussie beach girl. I guess one of the reasons I like Jade so much is she reminds of the girls I grew up with around the beaches in the 80's and 90's. She seems so unpretentious and natural.

Jade has picked a hard industry to make a career from. I hope she can follow her dreams and make a living from what she loves doing. That is really what we all want from life, so I shall be hoping and hoping she has every success in the world.

Thank you all for taking the time to keep Jade information freeloaders like me up to date. I would be lost with all the tweeting and instagramming stuff if it were not for you lovely people.

Totally agree with all of this. Good post. Especially the part about not hating Ed but just thinking he's not right for Jade. I feel exactly the same.

Hopefully his comment that he had no immediate plans to go to Sydney means that's done and dusted for good. I suppose you could argue that if they had planned to meet up Jade would be going to Melb given she's probably living with her aunt or a friend but I think with all of the other obvious signs we probably don't have to worry there.

I took him telling girls on NYE that they had broken up because Jade wanted a relationship and he didn't as my official confirmation - after the unofficial confirmation of him favouring the instagram with the girl saying that Ed had told his friends they had broken up and then following the girl because she said she wanted to hook up with Ed (but maybe I read to much into innocent comments)

I always was fearful about the Australian Open, though, even after that. Now that he has said he no intention on going to Sydney that confirms to me he wont randomly turn up in lovey dovey photos with her.

I prefer not to think about the incident of him following that the girl after her comments - it does my head in that anyone could be that vile in public.
 
I think Ed is long gone as far as Jade is concerned.

I know a few people continue to snipe at Jade but it would not surprise me if Jade worked out Ed pretty quickly on the outside and figured for herself that a few drunken hookups with Ed was not what Jade wanted. I think Jade is smarter than most people think.

I agree with this. I think he may have been fine in GC, Ballina and Byron, but once he was back in Melbourne with Nick and the girls back from their trips away then she realised it was a very different situation

Of course, if you don't want to be in a relationship and she does, then there's nothing to break up because you aren't actually IN a relationship.
Interesting that he didn't decide to NOT be in a relationship until he had gone through a public display of being IN a relationship with the whole Ballina/Noosa trip. He really did feel the need to do an image rehab!

I really hope that Jade was the one to say ENOUGH of this bullshit, but I have a sad suspicion that he dragged it out for her entire stay and then dropped the whole "I'm still not ready to commit" as she was leaving.

But, whatever, I'm done thinking about him. Now I'm down to only following 19 people. I need round a number so I better get started deciding who will be the next lucky person I follow!

I went back through Jade's instagram photos yesterday from when she left the house until she left Melbourne that last time, and compared them with the ones Ed was posting at the same time.

If you remove the filter of the viewer expecting/hoping to see couple shots and having knowledge of Jade's feeling for Ed, from Jade's photos and captions you would have no idea that there was anything more than good friends happening. For all Ed's 'road trip to Ballina and Noosa' stuff - Jade has never posted any photos of Ed with her family (other than Fabio who had already met Ed and formed some kind of relationship with him and who was with the whole BB group until he went home). She posted very few of just the two of them together that didn't involve an appearance. All the cosy nights curled up, meeting mum, siblings and friends, perving gym shots and sleeping shots were posted by Ed. The pics of waiting for Jade to arrive at the airport, the "i miss her already, but will see her soon" captions and shots - all Ed. In the GC the night of the AFL draft, Jade posts a pic of her and the Sugars - the Sugars and Ed post ones that include him.

What strikes me as so bizarre and ironic is that while Jade's pics and captions carefully reflect good friends, Ed's were the ones that really created the impression of a couple - yet he was the one that never wanted/intended to commit.

My opinion of him - in terms of Jade - continues on a downward slope

You are making me go there. I know this will sound irrational and hateful to some people.

Around the time Matt left the house, I think he realised the persona he was projecting was not getting the fans he expected. He realised Jade was popular after surviving several evictions, and popular within the house (whilst Tahan and Mikk were being nominated every week). His strategy became to create a showmance. The second Jade questioned him about his friendship with Tahan, Ed dropped Tahan. This made Jade believe he cared, and Tahan fans start buying the "Jade is being manipulative" line. When in fact, it was just Ed being gutless. Then the divide started to "happen". Tim and Jade had a good friendship up to that stage, and from the outside they were probably looking the two most likely to win. Ed started with his rubbishing of Tim, exacerbating the divide, whilst trying to "woo" Jade with the Garden of Eden date and the plastic bag flower petals stuff. He convinced Jade he liked her. He convinced ME he liked her. He gets evicted, and the second he gets out of the house he is going on and on about how great Jade is and meeting her parents. Because to people like me, that makes him seem like a decent guy. Then what you say above happens.

I think he used her to create this image of being a "great guy". Now that it has become obvious it is over, posting about the blog reinforces the narrative Tahan created that Jade "relentlessly" pursued him. He still seems like a great guy in his eyes because his friends and family would know him, wouldn't they? It is clearly all Jade's fault - she "forced" him into a "relationship". If he had level headed friends or family, they would give him some perspective, that maybe his actions may have hurt people. But they seem to enjoy treating him like a God.

I go back and forwards on his motivations in the house - you all know I have never trusted him, but I really just don't know what he was actually thinking.

With most of the bad stuff deleted from the blog, I don't know if it will reinforce the "Jade forced Ed" line or not. I think it has started people re-thinking about Ed, and not in a good way. Rather than reinforcing that he was the victim of a clinger - I think people are questioning what type of person would happily support something that was so publicly negative about someone he was supposed to care about, and praise the people responsible for it. It says way more about who Ed is than how Jade may have been perceived.

Fortunately for Jade, this wasn't her first experience of media scrutiny. I don't know if they received any kind of media training on Italy's Next Top Model - but she certainly faced media scrutiny and interviews when she made the decision to leave the show and I think that is one of the reasons why she has presented so well on camera in all the interviews she has done. She has been down this road before. She has come across as calm, considered, rational, self-assured - and anything but a stalker or obsessed. She has followed this up with very careful photos and tweets that have actually revealed very little.

I think by now - other than some die-hards - most people realise that Jade isn't an obsessed stalker and Ed was a participant in their in-house relationship, and that some interesting editing went on with all housemates. Ed's posts are the ones that have been couple-ey (whether genuine or contrived) which puts paid to any stories of him being unwilling. Tahan's comment that Ed is a decent guy forced to be with Jade so as not to look bad is just ridiculous, because any guy who would maintain a relationship to not look bad, is not a decent guy - he is using someone to enhance his own image.

But I do feel that he used her in the house, once his friends left, and it does look like he may have continued to use her (at least to a degree) once they left the house.
