The more I think about it, the more I don't like what he's done either. I know I defended it at first as just Tim having a stir as Tim does, but that was before he starting naming names. Those who didn't donate have been identified by a process of elimination, and those that did have had their charity preferences made public and been pressured into donating publicly, when they might be the sort of person who prefers to keep that quiet.

It was a good thing Tim did in giving away up to $10,000 to charity, and it was nice of him to include the other housemates in choosing which charities receive the money, but as others have said, it could have been done without the game, and perhaps with the option to keep their preferred charity quiet. It also would have brought out less nastiness in the Twitter comments, eg people asking him to name and shame, or criticising Tahan on the assumption she only gave $100.

I am surprised that you ever doubted Tim's alternative motives for giving away the cash. Millions are given away by individuals without even a word every year. Anyone who gives silently and for reasons close to their heart does so without the need to publicly broadcast it.

I'm not surprised in the way Tim did it as it's him all over; loud. It was a bit crass IMO but a good deed nonetheless.

ok finally watched Tim's video - I think its done in the spirit of fun and teasing ... a play on the twist ... don't think he meant for anyone to be publicly shamed if they chose to keep it but I don't think he believed anyone of the HM's actually WOULD keep it ...

Now this is the sort of shit the sappy person in me loves to see. These two obviously had issues in the house but it's nice to see that at the end of the day the HMs do have a kind of camaraderie between them after sharing the experience. I love how Heidi jumped in (who I usually can't stand) and how Jade favourited pretty much all the tweets in their exchange haha.
