He can do exactly what he wants and if he chooses to play a game with it some people are going to think it is a poor decision that takes away from an otherwise very generous gesture and he will get backlash for it accordingly
Trying to do the math here. There were 20 housemates? The Sugar Sisters count as one right? Or would that make it 21? The ones who have donated so far are: Ed, Jade, Xavier, Sugar Sisters, Tahan, Drew, Tully, Maddy, & Matt. That's 9.
So that leaves: Jazz, Sharon, Rohan, Boogs, Ben, Nathan, Justynn, Heidi, Caleb. Thats only 9. for a total of 18. Who am I forgetting?

On her facebook page she has also posted links asking people to donate to davids cousin whos raising money to find a cure for cancer and also her friend who is in the Indeginous Youth Leadership Program needing donations to do the Kokoda Leadership Trek.

I think it comes down to the fact that some people have fundamental values that are deeply entrenched... It has been pretty clear over the past few pages that most of us who smell a rat in this situation firmly believe that the act of giving to a charity should be done with humility, grace and love. The video says it all really, his intentions were manipulative for some reason I don't understand...His twitter comment..."foolproof plan". What does he mean by that? The end result is fantastic but it's the way he's gone about it that is the whole point of this debate. And the last time I looked, this was not a Tim Appreciation Thread.

yeah me too, although that style can look really great but it seems to need some volume. Tully looks great with a bit of body in her hair. It's when it's flat and just sticking to the contours of her face that it looks horrible and limp and lifeless.....of course not everyone can be a super model like mahself haha

Exactly how Tim wanted it to go. He has used a decent thing like giving to charity to turn it into Tims circus.
Some of the housemates may not have even heard about this yet, and I have a feeling that by the end everyone will have chosen their charity and things will turn out rosy. No one is being shamed, yet.
Happy that Tahan tweeted the reason she only donated 100 was that she was giving the rest to another charity.. If the others feel at all shamed they can indicate the same thing that they want to personally give it away. I apologize for being disrespectful there, I can be a real hot head sometimes, and it was a long day at work, tired & cranky. Thank you LoveBB for setting me straight.
At the same time I'm trying to count here. Yes he has made it into a game, I myself enjoy games. Now to try and find a roster of the list of housemates cos I have to be forgetting someone, if there were 20.
Edited: Thank you Insomniac, adding Mr Clooney. I think thats all of them, must have counted SS as 2 hms.

I'm sure some haven't heard about it but guess what people are doing the math just like you did and if you aren't in the nice group (charity) then you must be in the naughty group (greedy, selfish, depriving charities) in many people's minds

sparrow it doesn't have to be a tim appreciation thread for you or me to appreciate his generous offer. It is current housemate news and he did a great thing and deserves to be praised.
appreciation threads are weird in my view....i have occasionally participated but just general conversation about all housemates and opinions on what they are doing/have done is always interesting and belongs here....
i don't remember you ever being disrespectful to anyone.
Keep expressing your feelings here about what ever you want....i have found that even if i completely disagree with someone and even argue with them, we all have cool heads at the end of the day and can get along. I've laughed with people even though we totally disagree on certain things...
i'm sure most people here don't take offense to differing opinions, we love it
and still end up in group hugs when the news changes and we jump onto another debate
