What's for dinner?

Haha it was pretty awesome. And I wasn't even forced into salad with my steak and snags, just some beans , peas and carrot. We also had chips! I may or may not have left a fair few of the veggies behind...

I LOVE sushi. I'll even eat cucumber if it's in sushi. When I'm not broke I had it all the time, and at any chance I get mum to take me out to have some. My mates always tease me because I am so picky about everything, but will eat raw fish like it's going out of fashion. I also used to snack on raw nori, so yummmmm.

I'm at home now until after christmas so it will be interesting to see how long I get left to my own devices. Mum can get pretty annoying, but she has more to say about my lack of red meat consumption. But really, in relation to everything else I eat, it's pretty good. I just don't eat enough full stop.

Haha, really I think we could be twins seperated at birth or something, because that is exactly the same as me. I also love sushi which my friends find amusing for the same reason yours do. Pretty funny.

I did have ice cream yesterday, and you had me craving corn flakes so I had some of those as well.

Ok actually there is one difference, I eat a lot of red meat. Sometimes its all I eat. Other than that, we are total food twins.

Food kindred spirits:)

Funny how it's mostly people who don't eat properly chat here. :):):)

I suspect many people have kind of funny eating habits. Especially anyone who is the household cook & shopper.

I get angry at food.

Spent all day doing Christmas crap, shopping bits, food.
All I wanted whilst drudging about was an apricot Danish, my favourite food - none, anywhere. I found one crummy looking one at the end of the day, and fuck not enough change left and you can't eftpos one Danish.

So, I ate nothing yesterday, in a huff with food. If I can't have what I want it's like - F.........you, food you shit me to tears.

Fruit is my friend though, I will live off mangoes and raspberries, gifts from the gods, do nothing but eat me food, sweet gifts.
stickyfingers, I tried to cook pork belly once, dismal failure. since I hade no idea what it was supposed to turn out like.
Have since had it at Fed Square. Will be checking your clip out.....cooking clips are awesome, just set up the laptop and follow.

It's nice to have a food twin. I find it hard to relate to many people on the whole food thing, and my friends hate it when we go out to dinner and all I want to steak and chips, or just the chips...I'm getting better though.

I eat a fair amount to red meat, I'm just really picky about it. It has to be rare, I can't eat it if it's not. Has to have NO fat at all; I can't do fat. And also if I get a bit of gristle it's usually the end.

Corn flakes! I don't know what I would do without them. I eat cornflakes every day, and some days it's all I eat. I'm supposed to have yoghurt on them to boost my calories, but often I just like them plain with sugar...

I wish I had more friends who understood what it was like to be picky. They all just tease me about not eating anything, or tease me about being a child and being really skinny. It's not very fun, and it's not like I'm not trying, there are just some things that I can't eat, or have to be in the right mood for.

I so relate to all of that Illabeth. Some people have made the (very false) assumption that I have an eating disorder because I tend to just pick at a plate of food, coupled with being skinny. These are people who don't know me that well obviously, anyone who spends any amount of time with me will see me hoe into other foods... when I find something I like it I eat it excessively, unfortunately for me the foods I like are almost never healthy.

kxk I also relate to being angry at food. As discussed, I am super fussy and I get really annoyed when food doesn't fit into my unrealistic expectations. I would've probably gone postal over the danish incident!

jessy_girl, hunter valley was amazing! I can't believe I never thought I'd enjoy it and took me this long to go. If it wasn't for the Alicia keys concert with john legend, I'd never had gone in the first place. I am full of wine, cheese, chocolate and all those things x3 again.

I just read you hadn't done ice cream for a week... Umm well I made up for that ;) lol. But you sound like you are doing really well. I also read that people assumed you had an eating disorder because you are picky with food. If only they knew lol.

Oh, I'm glad you enjoyed it. The Hunter is so lovely (lol I typed Hunger instead, always on the brain), I have been to a few concerts there, it is amazing. I have even gone the wineries with people who, unlike myself, are not big wine drinkers and even they enjoyed it. Wine, cheese and chocolate are three of my favourite foods.

Haha yes it actually kind of amuses me, the idea of someone thinking I have an eating disorder. Spend a day with me, even half a day, and any doubt will be long gone.

jessy_girl I get told I have an ED all the time! But the fact that I had a large big mac meal with a shake and sundae for dinner tonight should prove them otherwise, although apart from a banana and some cornflakes it was all I ate today...

I put on a LOT of weight this year and people still say I'm too skinny, I don't think so, but whatever. I'm just sick of people constantly going on about it like it's any of their business.

Hahaha sub consciously your body is trying to tell you to eat eh. I loved the hunter, it was peaceful. My little serenity. I loved going to the wineries. Audrey wilkinson being one of my faves, and now that we have relatives that are members we get 50% off accommodation there. That place has amazing views. I bought heaps of wine for myself, friends and family, so I'm all stocked up. Also bought caramelised balsamic, dukkah and miniature chocolates... It's been great.

It's just bad luck when you are not eating that you have people around you I guess. Plus being skinny, I'd suspect it's easier to have excuses made for you other than you could be just skinny lol. You and illabeth seem to have the same thing, but count yourselves lucky I say.

You and jessy_girl (and me a bit) are actually in fact eating more like humans are probably meant to.
Try telling anyone who focuses on your eating habits they are fucked - and go watch on iview Feast or Famine. Highlights how fasting is so good for you it lowers cholesterol, blood pressure stabilizes, diabetes can stabilise, etc, etc, etc,

All the cultures that live long are wirey old bastards who eat like us, weirdly, starve a bit, graze a bit, whatever.
Having 3 meals a day isn't godly or even healthy:)

Christmas shits me because of all the food. your only meant to feast like that after a famine:(
I wonder what my lot would say if I suggest we just get loads of chocolate & other sweets/cakes, lets forget all the meat.

Steak and caesar salad tonight :) My favourite :) With red of course.

The perfect meal. I could eat this every night as long as the steak is fillet and preferably barbied, & the Caesar is good home made or genuine gourmet ingredients (hate fake croutons and shitty attempts at Caesar).

As you are a chef, wish I was eating at yours tonight:0

Maccas & a mango. We wanted fish but that shop was inexplicably closed. Very hot, too hot to cook.

You flatter me kxk, I'm a lowly cook not a chef :) ...but I do make a kick ass caesar salad.

Last night I did a pork roast on the rotisserie on the barbie. Nice. :)

Tonight I might make pizza from the takeaway shop. I've got to do lunch and dinner today at work which is hard work, last thing I'll feel like doing when I get home is starting again.

Well I know a few lowly cooks who are pretty chef like, and super efficient allican:)

And poo, the fish shop closure has turned into a saga.
Went again yesterday, new owner, big fat nasty looking guy with a red pocked swollen nose.

The nice young couple have vanished, and good fresh, and crunchy, fish and chips are gone.

I asked If he was ready to cook???I ordered something small, it looked like shit. I got my money back. and we have lost one easy meal, damn.

I read that article about honey kxk. I've already began the teaspoon of honey at night. It's still early days, but I haven't craved sweet yet.

I also read the article, but I must be weird because I don't crave sweet things so I don't see the point on having honey in my tea unless I am sick.

Well you're lucky! I love the sweeter side of food, I admit. Which is why I try and have fruits and nuts during the day or a yoghurt, to keep the cravings away. I love honey with my tea. But I do love tea on its own too.
