say it isn't so? our first disagreement? omg! (pretty sure we've disagreed before actually)

I guess I don't have a lot of respect for the kid

Artists like Elton John who've been working hard for many many years in the industry start their concerts on time (or very close to it), give their all AND more to the people who have paid big $$ to come see them ... (yes I'm showing my age giving Elton as an example but I've been to 3 of his concerts and would happily go to more)

The likes of Rhianna and Beiber who rudely keep people waiting for interviews, waiting for meet & greets, brush off people who have paid for VIP tickets (don't allow those kind of tickets to be promoted and sold in your name unless you stand by them and are willing to fulfil the obligation that comes with them whether you are dead on your feet or not - dont friggin party hard every night and expect to be able to perform at your best which is after all what people pay to see!)

As for being late for concerts like Bieber was ... his fans are young - they probably have curfews ... they could have school the next day ... wtf does he think its ok to keep them waiting? in the news reports they said people had to start leaving the concert early because they had to catch the last public transport available ... seriously wake up Beebs and remember who the important people are in your life - your paying fans! not the people who fawn all over you, kissing ass and using you ...

oh god ... who put my soapbox there again?? hide it people ... hide it!!! ;)
Lol... Don't worry, we will pretend this never happened. But for now...

I actually agree 100% with you on his behaviour. I guess I just acknowledge that he isn't going to be perfect and screw up because of his age. I am basically giving him a pass because of his circumstance and age and put it down too he doesn't handle fame like others may. I just hope he doesn't turn like the other stars who dig so deep they can't reverse time. So I hope that is where his support system is going to be strong enough. For now he is just a typical young boy who will glorify this attention except he is doing so publicly. He may have wanted to be usher but he wasn't prepared to know what that really meant IMO. The pressures, the responsibilities, the around the clock media duties as well as the work he puts in for his concerts will all take its toll, especially when dealing with social media and critics daily. On top of all this, he is going what most will, and that's growing up. I just hope he gets it all out of his system and becomes the person he saw himself to be, because I'm sure under all the new attitude that there is a light of goodness that still dwells there but is just hiding until he gets over this phase (I hope anyways).

Elton John is a great example, regardless of age :)

well she should get beside him a bit more often and help pull his head out of his ass ... send him away on more of those charitable things ... have him get back to the good roots she gave him ... maybe he could take time away from concerts and do some writing for a while ... anything ... he needs saving from himself ... and some of the dickheads he's surrounded himself with that are standing by and watching this going on and enabling it to happen. He's nothing more than a gravy train for them and they'll just move onto the next big thing when he's crashed and burned - they won't be there to help pick up the pieces :(
I agree with all of this. It's a train wreck waiting to happen.

His minders need to be doing a better job. And gods in my musical pantheon, Bob Dylan and Van Morrison get on stage sometimes and can't be arsed to do anything and I still love them. All I can see for beens are repeat visits to rehab and a career like robert Downey Junior's. (Now there's a sexy man.)
the thing is ... artists like Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Elton John ... they have more than paid their dues over long long and really great careers ... Beebs has been around for a blink of an eye ... soon it will be measured more like the flush of a toilet ...

I know stuff all about JB but agree that kids like himself, Brittany Spears, Drew Barrymore even our very own Tina Arena and many of the YTT who became superstars as children (and went off the rails for a while) need a special kind of manager to keep them off the drugs and drink. It would be just about impossible to stop the same kid who has made you rich from doing the same thing so many teens do in regular life without the added stress of being a hugely successful artist. I actually can't think of a single 'child star' who hasn't lost the plot for a period of time.

Yeah, I think judging by the photos Mrs B posted, they probably had to take a heap of hair off from the all the bleach, sun, lack of decent hair care products which probably would have bought her hair up to about shoulder length. We know she already had two shoots lined up, so I wouldn't be surprised if there are more asking for hair they can adapt. And crimmy, we all know they only guy she is going to let run their hands through her hair is Ed, and he is unlikely to do that because he would be too busy showing her photos of Matt's magazine cover, so it's a non-issue for Jade ;)

Hahahahaha good call.

Look, she has hair extensions, not all of us are fans, but like you said, she has shoots int he future. But not only that, she is allowed to have a change of look and try new things. My sister never knew she wanted long hair until getting hair extensions, she grew her hair that long and now has her real hair instead if the fake stuff. Regardless, she is young and testing new waters- good for her!

What has he actually done that is unusual for a rebellious teen?

Graffiti,
Muck around with mates, cause some damage,
Buy a stupid pet (ok not everyone can afford a monkey, for me it was a rat),
Go to a strip club
Smoked some weed

Etc etc.

Is he making wise decisions? Heck no! But it's not that abnormal.

And ^ for every Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and Elton John there is a Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, George Michael and Britney.
I have a suspicion he is gunna stick around a lot longer than you may guess. The kid has talent. He will continue to sell records despite how batshit crazy he goes.

They're a couple, though, and given that they were apparently together almost constantly for the past few weeks and she instas so much, I think the photos have been relatively few and, aside from the early bedroom ones, deliberately not private/intimate.

what / when were the bedroom photos you're referring to?

That's Sir Mick to you. He's always been a lot more conservative than the mainstream media painted him.

You know it's a slow night for updates when we're arguing about/ discussing super rich kids with nothing but fake friends.

I will admit I prefer dissecting vegetable preferences. Anyone for some pak choi?

I laughed too…but I still think it's a sad situation. His mother must be beside herself.
Yeah I can only imagine what's going through her mind. Although I found that article hilarious for so many reasons, it really struck me when all of the crap he has done this year was laid out in a paragraph and then to read in the comments about him and his buddies spitting on girls from their balcony. I think of someone like Justin Timberlake - who admittedly wasn't as big as Bieber in his teens but then again we didn't have social media back then either so it's hard to truly compare - and how we never heard any of that crap about him. Or even the guys in One Direction who continue to sell out their concerts instantly while Bieber still had tickets left for his Melbourne show last night. They've surpassed him now but from all accounts they're professional and are very lovely to their fans. Hopefully someone steps in and helps the guy out soon because he's started to take a nosedive in the public eye and it's extremely difficult to rebound from that once you hit rock bottom and your tween fans have grown up and moved on.

Hahahaha, bleachy - we all finally agree that we aren't fussed on Biebs and you have to mix it up. Love ya. To quote the great thinker of our time, one Ed Lower #stunning #amazing #fashion #randomrubbish

Am I the only one who's kind of creeped out by baby corn?

Don't really see the point of pak choi most of the time. May as well have proper broccoli

bleachy_dude you're a Belieber aren't you? Or am I confusing you with someone else? I'm pretty sure I saw you mention a few times that you watched his doco and then became a fan of his. If it wasn't you then to whomever it was... I recorded that bloody thing last week solely on your recommendation so if I end up hating it, I'm coming for you! (Or you bleachy if it was you haha)

BAHAHAAAAAA delcan!

But I think it's important to remember back then social media wasn't what it was today. The need for big stars or actually any stars information puts them in the spotlight like never before. It's a different world these young stars live in.
