Jade's new hair looks great but sorry, that skirt looks horrible.

IMHO Tahan and Tim were two of the most interesting and engaging HMs this year. They deserved to be in the finale REGARDLESS of their media connections. They did not get there BECAUSE of their connections.

I actually agree with you, but I don't know (please take note of the 'don't know') how much their media experience helped equip them for BB. I'm actually not whinging, but I think the 50/50 F grade celebs and 'normal' housemates could be fraught. Interesting discussion topic I think ;)
 
Tahan may have had connections but I wasn't aware of her until she walked into the house ... and then I was WOW she is stunning! I didn't know Tim - I didn't know Heidi ... so for me all they had was that extra self-confidence that someone with their background would need to have ... and that adds rather than subtracts to their interest ...

I didn't know Ed (not an AFL fan) ... never heard of Jade ... and I wonder how many people HAD heard of Jade before the show ... so although they DID have those backgrounds again I think they had limited reach ...

fame or notoriety can be a two-edged sword ... for every fan there is a hater ...and haters are often much more vocal it seems ...

in the end they had to work at earning and maintaining our interest ... and Tim has said he spent time each day thinking of what he could do to ensure he was interesting and involved enough to get show time etc

I wish they'd hurry up and get Tahan on!!! I thought she was coming on at 7 ...

agree about the skirt ... its not anything to rave about that's for sure ... as for her hair ... is it a slightly darker shade? because other than that I don't really see much difference ... it looked great at the Arias ... even the shot which had people wondering if she'd had a shorter cut looked great ... but was pleased to see she hadn't cut it ...

Yes, it's a darker share - it suits her much more.

Bump is fine - more music than talk (no ads that I've noticed so that's always great!) but when you're waiting to hear the talking all that continuous music is a pain LOL

Agree.

Also agree about the bump show. It's a good show if you wanna hear newest music. Not so much for the banter and interviews.

jade looks so 'beige' with that colour, and all i can think of with the extensions is fake, actually she looks fake like a barbie doll. the skirt is awful, but i can see it being part of a Mattel outfit. why do i know these things, ha

It is pretty long naturally so she probably didn't need them. But hey, if she got them as freebies I wouldn't be turning them down.

I was not condemning them as anything, I meant simply for bb fanatics who appreciates the old classic hms I guess. I didn't even see it that way. You're right all the finalist had connections in some way and in saying that in a way the way hms were chosen is perfect because it leaves little room to say that a hm has an advantage- actually no that's not true, because tahan was the argument to these problems because her bf is a race car driver.

Drew doesn't have any history with connections and he went a long way.
