Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

I reckon Ed knows his real feelings for Jade after their trip in Noosa. So, I'm looking forward to knowing their relationship status.

Ed, You have given us hints through your public photos that you guys are together. So, if you do care for Jade, you should better make a public announcement about your relationship status. She revealed her feelings with you on TV, so you need to publicize your feelings towards her now to protect her from public's negative critics. Otherwise, you are not deserved to be her man. Is this such a demanding requirement from a Jade fan?

Jade must have a really big family. They're everywhere. They all seem like great people.

Jade's family seems so normal. I'm sure every HM's family is that way, so maybe it's just that Jade revels in spending time with them and doesn't hesitate to post pics of them in their natural environment on her instagram, while everyone else seems to be making appearances, advertising the goodies they are getting, or using their families as accessories. Maybe it's the fact that she seems to relate to and appreciate her younger cousins that makes her seem so adorable, but I just love how much she loves and values her family.

That's so true.I love how she's posting more family pics.
I also love that besides a being family orientated, Jade takes time to promote worthy causes eg anti violence against women,marriage equality rights, animal welfare, etc... in her twitter.

Yes, like we've all said, she definitely has a huge heart and wants to do what she can to spread a positive message.

One of the things I find interesting is that Jade had emotional connections to so many HMs, yet she seems to be the most publicly distanced from the other HMs. She doesn't reach out to them much on social media, other than liking or sometimes retweeting things from the sisters or mikkayla. We make much of the fact that she goes radio silence on Ed when she's not actually with him, but she really has little to no interactions with the other HMs outside of any public appearances (the meet-up with the sisters being the exception). I think she's interacted more with fans than with any HMs on social media.

I don't know if it's significant, but it's something to note, especially with the mini-furor yesterday over Ed's interactions with Boog. I've seen Ed "flirting" with Nathan on twitter, and he and Matt seem to go back and forth occasionally. That seems to be Ed's style, which, of course, seems to contrast with his rather uptight demeanor in face-to-face interactions; Jade's style seems to be much more distancing in social media stuff, which, of course, seems the opposite of her warm face-to-face relationships.

Do you think that when she spent time at home the family talked to her about the way the other Hm's put her down behind her back??

I wonder whether it's because she's an introvert,so she would prefer her interactions with close friends (mikk,sugar sisters etc)to be private rather than on social media.
I don't think she would even bother with HMs she didn't bond with.
Do you think Ed is trying to loose his boring and uptight tag by being flirty with Nathan and Boog?

I'm certain they told her stuff, though I can't imagine that it came as much of a surprise, considering who was doing it, but it does go back to the issue of trust. In the house, Jade feared two things, the first being having her conversations carried on to other people and the second being the subject of gossip and ridicule. I think she doesn't want to, in any way, put something out there that might invite the other HMs (or the public) to be talking about her in a negative way, so everything she puts up is super neutral, even stuff about Ed. Look at how the comments on her supposedly "skinny" body led to that picture being deleted from Ed's instagram. She also doesn't want to get involved in public conversations knowing that the other HMs can see it, because she doesn't trust the majority of the most socially interactive ones.

I definitely think it's a privacy issue, like I said above. I also suspect that part of it is the nature of the other HM interactions. They involve a lot of teasing and, in the case of Heidi, Tim, and sometimes Tully and Drew, some one-upmanship, as the interactions seem to become almost aggressive. The fact that so many of the people she was once close to, like Tim, Drew, and Ed, also seem to be close to people that really don't like her, would make her hesitate to address those people where others could see.

I don't think Ed is doing anything deliberately. I listened to Ed's boss and the other 2 guys that Ed knows on that sports talk show, and their interactions where very similar to what you see between the HMs, so Ed is clearly used to that type of teasing and such. I think a lot of what people took as a some big "annie" conspiracy was them simply joking around, as I think Ed's friends pretty much tease and insult each other as bonding tool. It's an emotionally safe type of interaction, bringing people together without have to deal with anything deeper. Ed falls into that naturally when interacting with his HM friends.

She definitely does not tolerate mean spirited people, trust, loyalty and honesty are valued by her.
