i think jade would be a lovely daughter in law. I think she would make an effort to get along and enjoy being part of the family, and she's genuinely a sweet girl. Every time i see her with eds mum (no i'm not saying they will marry) it makes me think that for some reason, she'd fit in quite nicely to any family.

I have a Pomeranian, who is a full breed of what Tully's Luna is (Which I think is a Xbreed).. I get him groomed every 4 weeks because that fur doesn't stop growing... Summer months he gets a full clip right back.

Can you imagine? A thick double coated breed during the summer unclipped would be uncomfortable. Most Pomeranian owners do this - especially in Australia summers... It's funny how so many people are ignorant about long hair breed maintenance.

Luna is a little cutie.. With or without fur. The fur grows back as normal, like human hair..

Growing up in Blaxland, 2013 Big Brother winner Tim Dormer was always surrounded by a menagerie of animals.

“I think I’ve owned every single pet there is. I even had a pig at one stage!” he said.

So when animal welfare charity LOTL (Life On The Line) Rescue invited the 29-year-old to meet some of their exotic residents last week he leapt at the chance. The former Wycliffe Christian School student spent Thursday afternoon getting up close and personal with animals rescued or retired from zoos, the circus and entertainment industry at the Wallacia-based charity.

“I’m very passionate about conservation and looking after the environment and caring about animals. It was a dream to meet those animals up close,” he said.

Dormer said he was happy to use his newfound fame to draw attention to a cause he feels strongly about.

“I’m really passionate about not just being a reality TV star that rocks up to any red carpet for the next few months. I’d like to turn my career into being a role model or spokesperson for certain things — if it’s about bringing awareness to the environment, that’s definitely something I’m very passionate about,” he said.

That passion is a direct result of Dormer’s childhood in the Blue Mountains where experiences like seeing kangaroos at Euroka Clearing in Glenbrook were commonplace.

With his parents plus three of his sisters still living in the Mountains, discovering that bushfires had destroyed more than 200 homes in the area was an emotional blow for the television star after three months of seclusion in the Big Brother house.

“It was just awful,” he said. “That was one of the most moving things — coming out and realising that people had lost everything and I’d just sort of been given everything. It put everything into perspective about what really matters in life. Family friends [of ours] lost everything in the fires.”

Dormer auctioned his jacket from the Big Brother house for the bushfire appeal, with the winning bid topping $70,000.

Other outcomes from his Big Brother experience house were much happier. Seeing his dad Phil — a teacher at Blue Mountains Grammar School — get caught up in the hoopla of the television show was something he didn’t expect.

“I think he’s loving all the attention that he gets now, he gets recognised at the local shops and things like that,” joked Dormer.

Now a Sydney resident, Dormer’s post-Big Brother life is likely to be very different. Although he would like to find time to complete his Bachelor of Science degree at Macquarie University, new media opportunities are beckoning. But whatever he does next, his Blue Mountains connections will never be far away.

“Whenever we have friends visiting I always take them out west to the Blue Mountains and show them my home town. I’ll always be a Mountains boy,” he said.

Thanks again for sharing something so personal. I think shining a light on experiences such as yours is a positive public notice of where society gets it So wrong. Peeps whom read this will benefit I hope. So much more education is needed in this area.

My advice (professionally) is to trust your GP. Build on this relationship and share often. Your intuition and self-knowledge is not to be quelled. Being honest, as you have, re past food issues is vital in managing the present day as I'm sure you know. You advise that, "I'm healthy, eat a mostly balanced diet, I certainly don't starve myself and I'm sickly. You also mention, "I run because it's good for my bones and to gain much needed muscle mass (I'm weak as shit).

Metabolism is complicated. Handling stress is individual. Some overeat some under-eat. You under-eat. You run to exercise and improve anatomical and physiological pathologies. I imagine your GP has spoken to you about management of healthy habits and looking for that sometimes 'alludable' moderate middle ground, of eating enough and not exercising too much, of eating and exercising in a healthy way and for finding other ways to deal with stress. Sounds like you're doing really well, especially as you say you're "sickly".

You're so right about the outrageous behaviour of people touching and poking you and telling you "what you ought to do"...unsolicited and unwanted advice I can read. You mention... "Most of the time I roll my eyes and try to ignore it, but sometimes I bite back, especially if they touch me." Not always easy to ignore I'd imagine... biting back is understandable. You sound like you've got these emotional challenges covered. Who wouldn't react the same?

I hope that I haven't over-stepped the line in posting this. If I have in any way come across as patronising or highlighted too much, I apologise and can assure you that this was not my intention.

In my defense, I am work. I work in this field and I am both professionally and personally passionate about this topic. :)
What is 'GP'? Why should this be trusted?

YosemiteSam, this is how I feel... I do t hate tahlia at all. I've actually defended her outrage bursts and her story she sold to a magazine. It was purely on the dog being shaved without tully knowing about it or being and nothing else.

Sometimes comments are made with no thoughts to past scenarios.

Hey @ Sweet_Geek... just a quicky as I have an appointment in 20mins. Shit, where has this day gone! Lurkerdom has its perks.

I've heard what you're saying. Good to hear your thoughts and feelings. You're actually one of my favourite posters... so nothing ever was personally intended in my OP, I can assure you. I tried to state this early in the post, but I made some classical mistakes with that post.

I do agree with you about improved conversation being needed between them. Luna's care being a good example of this and thanks for supporting Tahlia's position in here when she went to the press. Past scenarios noted.

Also, in supporting her... and No!, I'm not setting myself up as Tahlia's defender here. Believe me... she needs no protecting on social media or in RL, one tough chic there, plus... she also stuffs up like we all do.

As to my own thoughts on her talking to the press, since it's been raised again and based on hearsay; are that Tahlia, in an on-going way, knocked back offer after offer after offer to speak with the press. She stayed true. Eventually after reading article after article I can only imagine that she, in a weak moment consented... perhaps even in the end "the money was too hard to ignore".

Everyone else seemed to be making money and undoubtedly, as someone who lost so much as a consequence of BB this year... she thought "why not". Can't blame her. I would. Especially if I wanted to go OS for awhile. :)

They have the clip in ones, but they must be real hair because they curl them. If you get them done the super expensive 'proper' way then they sew them into your other hair and they are permanent. I could never do it, firstly because my hair is already down past my waist and secondly because it reminds me of how I sew my horses mane into rosettes for competitions and that shit is a pain in the arse to get out and I don't want to feel like a show pony.

What?! Now you have a HORSE?!

“@TahnyLew: Yes Timdormer actually did this!! ✌ pic.twitter.com/GYOspqaxis” I MISS THE ARTS AND CRAFTS CENTRE!! ...AND GREG THE POSSUM!!

What is 'GP'? Why should this be trusted?

GP is a General Practitioner - local Dr

The general practitioner (GP) plays a central role in the delivery of health care to the Australian community

if you can't trust your local Dr - find a new one :)

What?! Now you have a HORSE?!

Haha. I don't own my own horse, no, but I do lease a couple and ride a whole lot more. I compete on other peoples horses mostly, ride for them when they can't. I can't afford my own horse at the moment, as it is most of my money goes into funding my horsey habit.

That photo of Jade lying down in a bikini has been deleted. I saw people commenting on there that she was too skinny so I really hope they didn't take it further and start full on attacking her. Although I don't think they should've been commenting negatively on her body in the first place.

I agree. It's mean.

Is there anything he can't do?

Haha missed this, yeah I drift in and out after the season, what I love about Ben is he appears so patient and laid back - That's a great quality.

Also mikidiki please feel free to post more pics of yourself in that dress! Zomg!

:) Those are the only ones. I didn't have a camera with me. I had to get other people to take those photos.

I completely agree. She has been dragged through the media and social media through no fault of her own. I'm glad she made some money from it. I hope the US helps to fix her broken heart

Yeah... in addition to the tweets shown here, I've seen others stating the same. I think 'flammers' were just out stretching their muscles. Wish peeps would just let the healing happen for them.
None of those people - including myself - that you first quoted are "flammers" nor were they "just out stretching their muscles". It has already been explained to you why people in here reacted the way they did. And for the record, it was the same way Tully initially reacted and it's the same way I'd react if I was in a custody arrangement with my son's father about our child or even our dog. It had nothing to do with the fact of Luna needing to have her hair clipped back or say for example, my son needing his head shaved if he picked up lice at school when he was at his dad's for the week. It was the non-consultation with the other party and letting someone who has no clue what they're doing butcher Luna's/my son's hair. Sure the next day I'd be ok with it because it needed to be done and there's really not much I could do other than tell my husband to take him to a proper hairdresser/dog groomer to get it fixed but I sure as hell would be pissed on the night. Especially if my husband didn't have the decency to tell me and I found out about it on a third party's Instagram account. That's all it was. Hope that makes sense now.

Im not sure if you guys have seen this but on Tahan's facebook page she has taken the time to respond to pretty much everyone's messages. In one of them she mentioned that herself and Tim will be hosting a getaway special in February! also the reason she asked if there were any good makeup artists in sydney was because she will be attending the arias.
