I know. I just like the nickname. I don't know if it has something to do with the way he says it; Probably, but just a little ridiculous fact about me.

It does show that he really cares for her, which is nice. They are a good couple they really care about each other.

Gemini, I don't think acting is a stupid profession at all. Like prufrock said, I think cate blanchette, Russell Crowe and Geoffrey rush are just a few of many Australian actors who I think are bright and inquisitive. Wanted to adress this first because I never stated that acting was a stupid profession.

I also want to note, that h&a can lead to many opportunities and yes starting there is a stepping stone. But my opinion is based on how I viewed drew in the house and how he has handled being outside of the house and I don't see him as a soapie actor. It's not judging him, but I'm sure you can understand how you hope a hm you believe to have potential for more does succeed in the way you see them. I've seen the jade thread and you and many have stated your hopes and ambitions for her, well I was doing the same thing. I just don't see drew as a h&a star I'm sorry. Like another poster stated, drew never seemed to want anything out of bb, so him stating he wants to be a soapie was a shock. I never viewed him that way and still don't. I actually don't think he fits the h&a scene at all either. But that's my opinion. Not all hms have to be in front of the screen to be a success btw.

Yeah, it drives me nuts. So the girl is skinny, leave her alone! I hate how people constantly feel the need to comment on weight. Mikk had the same thing but the other way. The only difference is that people will comment on skinny people in public. I'm so sick of being told by random strangers that I'm too skinny and need to eat more. FFS what she looks like has no baring on who she is as a person, and especially since she seems to have issues surrounding food, I don't know why people would be so cruel.
Yeah I feel your pain, I hate when people mention it...and to smaller statured people they never shut up about it!
It's how Jade is lying down that her hips are like that, it's like people don't understand basic anatomy.

I've had food issues in the past, and I tend to deal with stress by not eating which isn't good. My BMI hovers on the line between underweight and normal but my Dr isn't very worried and I consciously make sure that I meet my Kilojoule targets. I'm healthy, eat a mostly balanced diet, I certainly don't starve myself and I'm sickly. I hate that all people see of me is my weight.

I can't believe that poor woman was spat on! How revolting, there are truly some horrendous people in this world. As for the comments, I more meant that random people will tend to stop me and sometimes deign to touch me(!), poke at my ribs or hips and tell me that I need to put on weight, whereas they tend not to poke a fat person in the belly and tell them they are obese and should lose a few kgs. I get it everywhere, they'll grab my arms or even my collarbone and tell me they could snap me, or tell me to stop running if I'm out exercising. People have no idea about the state of my health, I run because it's good for my bones and to gain much needed muscle mass (I'm weak as shit). Most of the time I roll my eyes and try to ignore it, but sometimes I bite back, especially if they touch me. It's just so not okay to comment on anyones appearance in public, any aspect of it.

Thanks again for sharing something so personal. I think shining a light on experiences such as yours is a positive public notice of where society gets it So wrong. Peeps whom read this will benefit I hope. So much more education is needed in this area.

My advice (professionally) is to trust your GP. Build on this relationship and share often. Your intuition and self-knowledge is not to be quelled. Being honest, as you have, re past food issues is vital in managing the present day as I'm sure you know. You advise that, "I'm healthy, eat a mostly balanced diet, I certainly don't starve myself and I'm sickly. You also mention, "I run because it's good for my bones and to gain much needed muscle mass (I'm weak as shit).

Metabolism is complicated. Handling stress is individual. Some overeat some under-eat. You under-eat. You run to exercise and improve anatomical and physiological pathologies. I imagine your GP has spoken to you about management of healthy habits and looking for that sometimes 'alludable' moderate middle ground, of eating enough and not exercising too much, of eating and exercising in a healthy way and for finding other ways to deal with stress. Sounds like you're doing really well, especially as you say you're "sickly".

You're so right about the outrageous behaviour of people touching and poking you and telling you "what you ought to do"...unsolicited and unwanted advice I can read. You mention... "Most of the time I roll my eyes and try to ignore it, but sometimes I bite back, especially if they touch me." Not always easy to ignore I'd imagine... biting back is understandable. You sound like you've got these emotional challenges covered. Who wouldn't react the same?

I hope that I haven't over-stepped the line in posting this. If I have in any way come across as patronising or highlighted too much, I apologise and can assure you that this was not my intention.

In my defense, I am work. I work in this field and I am both professionally and personally passionate about this topic. :)

he's has referred to her as Tulls since the BB house

I've picked that up to.

I know. I just like the nickname. I don't know if it has something to do with the way he says it; Probably, but just a little ridiculous fact about me.

Not ridiculous at all my experience too... so not ridiculous

It does show that he really cares for her, which is nice. They are a good couple they really care about each other.

No doubts here, about their mutual care of each other. Good luck to them... and always a full tank between them, lol

just replying cos I sent the original photo through and I guess started the conversation

first and foremost: I have no interest in hating Tahlia nor do I post as such ... my only negative feelings towards her have come from that dreadful beatup story and photo in one of those trashy magazines ... I thought she sold herself out and sold herself short even being involved in it

secondly - not ALL dogs in Sydney get shaved & I'd seen someone commenting that the coats of this breed don't always grow back (which I would think would be a concern)

... but the point mostly was that it was done seemingly without consultation FIRST with Tully which I think is poor form given that they share custody

I'm sure they'll work it out

I'm sure the little doggie will be just fine - but I think next time consultation first AND pay a professional and not a housemate to do the job properly

YosemiteSam, this is how I feel... I do t hate tahlia at all. I've actually defended her outrage bursts and her story she sold to a magazine. It was purely on the dog being shaved without tully knowing about it or being and nothing else.

Sometimes comments are made with no thoughts to past scenarios.

Hey Sorceress! It's nice to see you back here. I agree with you. Ben is who he is. I suspect he's been a victim most of his life. I can't find it in me to worry about him enjoying his time in the sun. And I hope in his new incarnation on Grindr he finds his gay Drew :)

Haha missed this, yeah I drift in and out after the season, what I love about Ben is he appears so patient and laid back - That's a great quality.

Also mikidiki please feel free to post more pics of yourself in that dress! Zomg!

Im not sure if you guys have seen this but on Tahan's facebook page she has taken the time to respond to pretty much everyone's messages. In one of them she mentioned that herself and Tim will be hosting a getaway special in February! also the reason she asked if there were any good makeup artists in sydney was because she will be attending the arias.

Looks like Tully doesnt mind the Luna haircut at all..

Yeah... in addition to the tweets shown here, I've seen others stating the same. I think 'flammers' were just out stretching their muscles. Wish peeps would just let the healing happen for them.

I'm glad they're civil.

Not that it's first hand... more like third or fourth. But on the grapevine... it seems that for the most part they are civil to each other, besides the odd jab here and there which one would expect in these early days. I think with time and healing, of OK exchanges when picking up and dropping off Luna. Some time OS for Tahlia, they both will find a peace between them. I wouldn't even be surprised if they end up as friends. Lesbian/Bisexual/Straight relationships are good when it comes to this.

I see where you're coming from. To be honest in the house I never saw Drew as wanting any sort of fame out of it either, but I think we need to remember that after being out and getting a taste of it I think it would be very difficult for him to not want to keep that going. I'd imagine it would be very difficult to go back to life as an engineering student after experiencing a bit of fame. And honestly, I think any of them that signed up to BB would be fame whores to some degree. I'm not going to comment on what would make Drew happy or what is his scene/style because I don't know him. The acting thing isn't a huge shock to me though. He's a huge film/television buff after all, so I could see him wanting to go down that path if he wanted to keep the fame going.

I certainly agree that not all of them have to be in front of a screen to be a success. I think at the end of the day all we want for all of them is to be happy with whatever they're doing...and hey, if that's what Drew wants to do then good luck to him. I hope he kills it.

No, you certainly haven't overstepped your bounds! I appreciate it. I find this hard to talk about with many of the people close to me, so it's nice to be able to share so openly with people and not be judged. Because I otherwise look healthy people just seem to jump on the weight thing. I have issues with gluten and at time have been so wrought with stress I can't eat and I've pretty much lived off hospital meal replacements (not fun I can assure you). I've leant how to deal with most of my eating habits, I'm still quite picky and have some strange rules relating to food that I can't break, but as I can recognise them I can deal with them. My GP and nutritionist are amazing, it's taken me a while and sometimes I still don't eat quite enough for the exercise I do (I also ride horses and that burns a lot of my Kjs). But I figure it out in the end and I remain a pretty stable weight. Some people just don't know what they are talking about. My horses and running are my stress relief now, my ponies keep me grounded and stop me ripping ignorant peoples heads off in public.

Brydie commented on Tully's photo "are you kids coming home? tee_smyth"

So it seems Brydie has the impression that Drew will be going back to Sydney.

Hey Crimmy... thanks for your sharing re forum etiquette... a tricky one indeed.

I agree that with Tahlia going to the US next year for a holiday, having a chat about these issues would be good to have before she goes. You said "I think there may still be a fair bit of bad blood/ tension between them and the dust may need to settle more". I agree with this very much... they still have some difficult times ahead before hearts and heads are healed.

I chose not to contribute to the forums here, as their journeys together and apart unfolded. I choose now, to still not comment on mine (as a lesbian) or my partners, friends or local community's opinions.

I don't play the blame-game, or hate anyone, Tully included. I believe I understand her well and have genuine empathy for her and only wish her well. When you're old enough or mature/educated or well-lived enough (no intent of being patronising or annoying)... you know life throws up all sorts of possible outcomes and choices.

My favourite hm's this year, are Tim, Jade, Boog (they emotionally touched me) and to a lesser extent, Mikkayla and Tahan... because of their fiesty traits and strong personalities. My favourite personality to come out of this year is Tahlia... followed by Tims' dad, Luna and Mr Clooney.
don't think you're replying to me - maybe Illabeth?

Possibly. Tahan and Tim are going to the Arias, I don't know about the others. But they may be heading back up for that.

I would never bash someone for being skinny, however I am a bit concerned when I see someone getting skinnier when they display the kind of eating habits Jade showed in the house. She displayed some signs of someone with a eating disorder.

I see where you're coming from. If that's what he wants to do, then that's what he wants to do. If that's what makes him happy then that's what will make him happy. But I'm not going to lie, I'd be quite disappointed if that's all he amounts to. And that's why I was commenting to prufrock in regards to keeping up with tully. Because my comments were made in reference to a discussion regarding tully. Tully knows what she wants and has always known this. Drew seems lost and that's why I'm not sure how to respond now or with the post before this, because I was discussing drew with a completely different topic at hand at the time. The comments made by me were In reference to tully and her ambitions, keeping up with Tullys pace, drew using his intellect side, drew just going for the ride as he is just going with whatever at the moment and NIDA- all at once. I hope this helps understand my previous comments and how they related to prior discussions :)
