Hi @ Illabeth, Credit where it's due. I did not reply to individual posters but instead as a collective narration on the same theme ever since custody issues were first discussed many many pages back. I have noted my error and will correct it in future.
As to your quote, I simply used it to set up the discussion, nothing more. I agree with the summation of what your quote was 'only' about. Again see above about lesson learned.
I've already spoken to others about how I believe Tahlia and Tully need to sit down and speak about the finer care of Luna and what and how they communicate about decisions.
Again, my quote of stating that "Tahlia is not the devil" alludes to the Tahlia blame and indifference shown her and her rights acoss this thread by certain people.

You will note, time stamped, when I posted my original post, when I replied to her post and what time she went back and edited her post, adding " And please don't preach its nauseating and patronising. I would have answered her then, but the added quote wasn't there when I was composing the post and replied.
To both of you... I am sorry you took my post to be "preaching" or nauseating and patronising. I can assure you that I wasn't meaning to be, and I made an attepmt in the beginning of my post, to alert posters to the fact that I only reply to comments, not to attack the poster. To this end I use everything at my disposal, emotey's, words, bracketing etc to try to ensure this doesn't happen. Tone is very hard to get across with the written word. So is "intent'

Plus she would have been aware they had a deadline (surprise birthday party) to make ... whereas Drew was oblivious ...

OMG! @ these posts (please note that I'm not directing any negativity towards the poster, just the post comment) Tahlia ONLY has Luna shaved for ONE, and only ONE reason. Luna's physical well-being and comfort.
Sydney summer's are hot. Dogs do not sweat. They can only pant to cool themselves down and is inefficient. Vets advise shaving, keeping dogs out of the heat during the days hottest hours, proving cooling mats or keep them inside. Cars are a big no-no. Shaving long-haired dogs is regular practise during hot weather.

first and foremost: I have no interest in hating Tahlia nor do I post as such ... my only negative feelings towards her have come from that dreadful beatup story and photo in one of those trashy magazines ... I thought she sold herself out and sold herself short even being involved in it
secondly - not ALL dogs in Sydney get shaved & I'd seen someone commenting that the coats of this breed don't always grow back (which I would think would be a concern)
... but the point mostly was that it was done seemingly without consultation FIRST with Tully which I think is poor form given that they share custody
I'm sure they'll work it out
I'm sure the little doggie will be just fine - but I think next time consultation first AND pay a professional and not a housemate to do the job properly

I certainly think there needs to be more discussion between the two where Luna is concerned, but I think there may still be a fair bit of bad blood/ tension between them and the dust may need to settle more. I expect with Tahlia going off the USA they will before she leaves as Tully will presumable have the dog full time.
I think there is some general annoyance at Tahlia here as she was so good when Tully was in the house about dealing with the hate, but since she has come out has been all over the shop with stating that she doesn't want to talk about it but then continuing to post inflammatory comments and just generally keeping the issue an issue. I don't blame the girl! She was cheated on on national TV and is only 21, but I think it rubs some people the wrong way.

Hi Crimmy. Thanks for sharing. So as not to double up, as I've answered other posters; I'll just reply to some of your post. I also saw that post saying Luna's hair wont grow back. A flammer, I think... or an ignorant. Proof's in, as far as this goes; Luna's coat fully grew back after the last shave Tahlia had done. Dog grooming is expensive and some owners can't afford it and go with other cooling down methods as they don't want to give home clipping a go... and fair enough.
I think because both Tully and Tahlia like to take Luna out in the car or on other adventures, clipping is a good choice and I agree, if affordable, professional is best.
I also agree that they'll work it out. They're new to all this joint custody thing and they'll learn to make decisions together and communicate in more direct and clear ways. I'm sure both of them don't want any un-necessay grief

We had a Maltese and used to have to get him clipped, every few months, he loved being clipped and getting his blue bow
But they didn't scalp him, like Luna seemed to be, in that photo that I saw in here. It looked like they had gone down to the skin, that sounds very cruel and unnecessary, to me.

well there is a bit of reshuffling going on at austereo for the new year ... so you never know ...
That photo of Jade lying down in a bikini has been deleted. I saw people commenting on there that she was too skinny so I really hope they didn't take it further and start full on attacking her. Although I don't think they should've been commenting negatively on her body in the first place.

Hey Crimmy... thanks for your sharing re forum etiquette... a tricky one indeed.
I agree that with Tahlia going to the US next year for a holiday, having a chat about these issues would be good to have before she goes. I agree with this very much... they still have some difficult times ahead before hearts and heads are healed.
I chose not to contribute to the forums here, as their journeys together and apart unfolded. I choose now, to still not comment on mine (as a lesbian) or my partners, friends or local community's opinions.
I don't play the blame-game, or hate anyone, Tully included. I believe I understand her well and have genuine empathy for her and only wish her well. When you're old enough or mature/educated or well-lived enough (no intent of being patronising or annoying)... you know life throws up all sorts of possible outcomes and choices.
My favourite hm's this year, are Tim, Jade, Boog (they emotionally touched me) and to a lesser extent, Mikkayla and Tahan... because of their fiesty traits and strong personalities. My favourite personality to come out of this year is Tahlia... followed by Tims' dad, Luna and Mr Clooney.
